~BERKLEY~
They don’t know.
They can’t know.
Nothing can connect me to him.
Nothing but blood.
Then came the hushed whispers and hidden smirks.
I’ve been this girl before.
I won’t be her again.
The daughter of a monster.

Jericho Priest appears as my savior, an escape to another world.
One where no one knows the darkness running through my veins.
But no matter where I hide, my past haunts me.
I thought I’d found sanctuary, a solace from my nightmare.
But it was only the beginning.

Set in the same world as the Requested Trilogy, this dark romance trilogy follows Berkley as she faces the struggles of being known as the daughter of a monster.

Outstanding but so dark
Berkeley would do anything to keep under the radar. All she did was work, dance and sleep. She’s got a horrible secret that she hopes the people around her never find out but she was naive to think she could live her life as she wished. At the dance company they had a visitor and Mr Priest who was looking for someone to teach his ward how to dance. Berkley knew that this was her way out as she was struggling to find rent. Which was laughable because she had been bought up such a rich spoiled brat and now she could hardly afford to put food on a plate. All because of him! her so-called father who was imprisoned over human trafficking. She couldn’t get the thoughts out of her head. Now all she has to do is dance her socks off so she gets picked to work for Mr Priest.
Jericho Priest held so many secrets he wasn’t a good man. Nothing was going to stop him from getting answers and the woman in front of him could help him without even knowing it. But what he couldn’t get his head round was his feelings for this woman. Could he do what he needed to get the answers he so desperately wanted????
I’m really sorry I keep this really vague because I really want you to draw your own conclusions from this book I honestly couldn’t put it down. It is very dark in places and my heart went out to Berkeley and Jericho. I’m not sure on his brother I know the family have been through a lot I just don’t know. I think he’s a dangerous man. Please read this book it’s absolutely outstanding.

Great series! Book #1 is enthralling....will captivate and hold your interest!

This is Book #1 in the Black Swan trilogy, While I wrote a review for each book after reading it, (while it was still fresh in my mind), I held off posting any until I had completed the entire trilogy. Overall rating for the trilogy in it's entirety was 4.6 Stars. (And let me just say...I would love to see that tattoo!)

Below is my review on Book #1 - Daughter of a Monster. 5 Stars

As the title implies, in Book #1 we are introduced to the h whose father is in prison for heinous crimes against women. He apparently not only kidnapped and sold women, he kept and abused them for his own perverted desires.

At this point, it's hard to write a review without giving any of the story away. While we've learned some details by the end of this book, there are still so many things we don't know and so many unanswered questions. I don't want to ruin this for other readers...the unknown of this story is what pulls you in and holds your intetest. So I will limit my review to the following:

Both the H and h are broken, complex characters. Both hiding in different ways for different reasons. He presents one persona in public, created for a purpose with one goal in mind, and another, truer one when at his remote castle-like estate where he lives like a recluse. She, unable to deal with a trauma she suffered and the notoriety of being the daughter of a monster, left town taking her mother's maiden name to remain incognito, but, inevitably she is recognized and forced to move again and again. She suffers panic attacks and visions, but we don't know if they are of real events that are suppressed memories; precognizance of what will happen, or just her imagination because of her past. Both have suffered their own trauma and/or tragedy in the past and both suffer guilt, though for different reasons. There is a link that initially brings him into her orbit. Both have their own reasons/motives for remaining there, but these truths are initially kept secret for their own reasons. Circumstances force them to alter their plans and truths begin to be revealed.

The story is intriguing and full of mystery. Only bits any pieces are revealed in book #1, hints given, so you start getting a general idea of events in their pasts and what might happen in the future. Yet some of the things revealed only bring more questions.. By the end of book #1 you realize there is more than one story being told. The author does a great job of giving you just enough, while still withholding the bulk, to hold your interest, keep you guessing and wanting to know more. 5 Stars! Looking forward to Book #2 "Searching for Hope"

Part 1 in a trilogy. Berkeleys is trying to make it out on her own after being brought up with all the money and riches she could want now her dark family secret has left her struggling between her work and dance. until Jericho, he needs a dance teacher for his ward and Berkeley fits the bill, but he wants her for more than just her dancing talent. this is a well written dark romance, it dives deep into a twisting world that captivates and horrifies. well worth the read and cant wait for more!

I'm not sure who is the most damaged, Jericho or Berkley or Hope! All are, in different ways, seriously broken by one mans acts. The magnetism between Berkley and Jericho is intense and off the charts. You don't need to be damaged in any way to have the same fantasies as she does, albiet without the panic attacks.
Reading it really made me start to wonder if life is like this for many people in their positiion.
I highly anticipate learning more in the following books.

This dark and twisted romance had me reading and turning the pages as fast as I could as I was glued to the edge of my seat. It’s only part one of a trilogy and so it does end with a cliffhanger and has left me eagerly awaiting book 2. Due to being a dark romance there are some triggers but if you are able to read this book, I highly recommend it as it is fantastic. The author throws in some humor along with all the action, drama and emotion.

Daughter of a Monster is part one of the Black Swan trilogy and it is a dark and twisted story. Berkeley and Jericho are intriguing characters and after that ending I can't wait to read the rest of the trilogy to find out where their story goes. I recommend this book to everyone who loves dark and twisted reads. If you trigger easily you were warned but if you are like me and love to dip into the dark side then you definitely need to check this book out. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Dark, raw, and unforgettable.

This book hit me in ways I didn’t expect. Berkley’s story is equal parts heartbreaking and empowering. Sabre Rose doesn’t shy away from showing how trauma shapes a person, and how survival isn’t always clean or easy.

The emotional weight of Berkley’s past feels heavy, but her fight to escape it kept me glued to the page. The writing has this haunting beauty that makes even the darkest scenes feel meaningful.
By the end, I was both devastated and hopeful a rare balance that only great dark romance authors pull off.

This is a dark story but I totally enjoyed it. I was hooked from the beginning and it could not put it down. The connection between Berkley and Jericho I thought was well written. The daughter of the monster, indeed. I liked the way Sabre Rose told the story and the way it flowed so smoothly. I was riveted, it was a compelling story. Wow!

Good but...

This was a book I enjoyed a lot. The reason for the 3 stars is I thought it all could have been said in this one book. I get to the end and see it's a trilogy and my first thought is, how is the writer going to drag this out to 3 books. Not sure if I'll read the next, but since it's a kindle unlimited I may, I'm just not in a hurry to find out what happens. I kind of figured how it will all play out. Do I really want to spend time in 2 more books?

DARK & DANGEROUSLY TWISTED!
Dark, did I say Dark because yep it sure as heck is. It's so Dark and TWISTED that I could not move over blink with an intense edgy feel that brings on a whirl wind of unstoppable emotions that had me cringing shaking with fear ready to scream and hide all while filled with a lusty trace. It's so good and DARK and I really really want more.

WOW!!!!! I'm a huge fan of trilogy and even more of dark, so for me this is a win/win.

It's the kind of story that keeps you on edge. The writing held my attention that when my phone rang, I jumped. That's how wrapped up in this book and this is only the beginning. I can't wait to feel that rush with the rest of the trilogy.

I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

So intriguing. I love the visions. I cannot figure out if those are reality or she is projecting her twisted desires. Poor Jericho isn’t prepared for Berkeley and what she brings out in him. I cannot wait to find out more.

I read most of this book before realizing who Berkley was and that this trilogy directly related to the Requested trilogy (which I loved!) I was surprised when I found out who she was, and a little disappointed that the names Mia and Ryker weren't even mentioned.

I'm writing this review after reading book 2, because I wasn't sure what to say about it. I didn't know who Hope was the majority of this book, and we find out a little at the end of book 1, but much more is revealed in book 2, so keep reading! Book 1 is a good set up for this trilogy, and not to be read on its own.
