Christmas in Snowy Falls #1

Pawsitively in Love Again at Christmas

Rate this book
He’s not staying any longer than he has to. She knows better than to fall in love with him a second time. But fate might have other ideas.

When veterinarian Noah Taggert left his hometown, he always intended to come back. Helping out at his uncle’s horse ranch was supposed to be a temporary arrangement. Discovering the woman he loved had broken his heart made it permanent.

If it wasn’t for his uncle’s dying wish, he wouldn’t be in Snowy Falls at all.

Too bad no one told Noah his family was gone, forcing him to extend his stay until they return. To top it off, Everly—the one woman he’s determined to avoid—is Grandma Annie’s live-in tenant.

Elementary school librarian Everly Jensen has a job she loves, a dog she adores, and the best landlord who lets her work in exchange for rent while she saves to buy a house. Helping Annie prep for the Taggert family Christmas over her holiday break should be a piece a cake.

Until Noah walks back into her life.

She’s never gotten over her best friend’s brother, even though Noah broke his promise to return home and never told her why. Now they’re stuck together in the same house until the rest of the Taggert clan returns home, at the mercy of Grandma Annie’s to-do list.

The more time they spend together, the more the walls they’ve put up start to crumble. But Noah can’t stay in Snowy Falls. Everly knows better than to fall in love with him a second time, but will that be enough to stop her?

Noah Taggert left his hometown of Snowy Falls in Maine and hadn’t planned on returning after he heard that Everly Jensen had moved on. Now home for the first time in four years to surprise his family at Christmas, he finds they were in Mexico right now. Noah had intended to complete his “mission”, the last wishes of his uncle, so he could get back to Montana where he belonged. His goal was to avoid Everly, the woman who had broken his heart when she didn’t wait for him. Yet Everly had no idea why Noah had never come back to Snowy Falls after going to his uncle's ranch. He never contacted her, and didn’t come home as he had promised, leaving her confused and broken-hearted.

Now Everly, the Elementary school librarian, was living in Grandma Annie’s house. Annie lets her work in exchange for rent while she is saving her money to buy her own house. She was planning to get Annie’s house ready for the Taggert family Christmas celebration over her holiday break – until Noah showed up and moved in! Would the two of them begin to talk and work out the misunderstanding that kept them apart all these years? Was it too late for a second chance?

Noah left town, planning to come back, but Everly broke his heart. She stayed in town, but Noah broke her heart when he didn't come back. He's back after four years, to fulfill a wish for his recently deceased uncle. His family is out of town, so he heads to stay with Grandma Annie. You know her - she's letting Everly live with her to save for a house. This is a very sweet holiday romance with all the feels, and Noah and Everly have a second chance for love after a big misunderstanding and years apart. I love Grandma Annie, a/k/a the Velvet Steamroller. She gets her way every time, pushing Noah and Everly together with the silliest of excuses. Kenobi, Everly's yellow lab, just loves Annie, or maybe she just loves the carrots that Annie slips her. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

Noah is back in town after leaving for what was meant to be a couple of months and turned into four year and oh boy you can really feel the attraction between Noah and Evelyn and the past the pushes them away from each other, fortunately they both have Noah's Grandma Nannie on hand. I get Evenly not wanting to get close to Noah with what happened four years ago and the fact he can't stay and how Noah wants more but also knows he is leaving soon, but you keep hoping that if they love each other as much as you think surely there is a way to make it work. Get ready for laughs, awkward moments, regrets, meddling family, undeniable attraction and the hope that love will see these two be together at the end!

When Noah Taggert had to return home to Snowy Falls, he was hoping not to run into his ex girlfriend Everly Jensen. He broke up with her without any good reason and refused to keep in touch with her. When he got to Snowy Falls he went to his families home but no one was home. He ended up going to his grandma Annies house to find out what was going on with his family.
Everly was living at Annies to help her out in exchange for rent. She had not seen or heard from Noah in four years. To her surprise he arrived at the house where she was hanging Christmas lights.
Will Noah win Everlys heart again or will he return to his home?

This was a beautiful heartwarming story full of Christmas cheer. Noah and Everley had started going out but kept their relationship secret from their families. Noah leaves to work on his uncle's ranch fully intending to come back. He gets delayed and then news from home makes him change his mind about returning. Everley is waiting for Noah to return when suddenly she no longer hears from him. Forced into close proximity when he returns home can they rebuild what was lost or will circumstances keep them apart again.

How can you not love a good romance with cute dogs in the story?!? Everly and Noah were sweethearts but when Noah left to help family, he didn't return. Everly eventually moved on and thought she was over Noah. When Noah returns, she realizes old feelings don't die easily. A wonderful, smooth flowing second chance romance you'll enjoy reading. The characters are amazing, realistic and feel like family.

Romance with a side of cute dogs....what's not to love!?!

Everly and Noah were sweethearts until he left to help his uncle and never returned. Everly thought she had moved on with her heart. That was until Noah returned to help in the local vet's office. Through some ups and downs, they manage to find each other again. If you are looking for a short read with some heart and cute animals, then this will hit the spot.

Noah has been in love with Everly since they were growing up together, but he believed that Everly had another beau she was serious about. So he left Snowy Falls. Now he is back after four years, only to find she is still single and loves him, too. Will they have a second chance?
I enjoyed this big interfering family serious about matchmaking, especially Grandma Annie and Everly's goofy rescue dog. This is the start of a new and exciting series- with dogs, of course!

The characters, of course, were well done––relatable and likable.
The dialogue was great, snippy and teasing at times but always filled with love and concern.
The plot was unique, even though it was built around a favorite trope.
I hope the rest of the series involves the same family, and not just the same town!

This book is a sweet, delightful treat to read. Noah and Everly were sweethearts a few years ago before he broke her heart and never returned from a job he had taken on his uncle’s ranch. They had planned to tell their families at Christmas that they were dating and serious about each other, but he stopped communicating with her and stayed on as veterinarian on his uncle’s ranch. Now he is back in town for a few days before Christmas to surprise his family and fulfill his now deceased uncle’s last request. Much to his surprise, most of his family is out of town on rescue mission, and Everly is now living in his Grandma Annie’s home. Grandma Annie is a very sneaky matchmaker and throws Noah and Everly together to fulfil a variety of tasks she claims need to get done, but she is too tired or to busy to do herself. The close proximity brings their feelings for each other to the surface, but the question of why they separated needs to be answered. Discovering a misunderstanding robbed them of time they could have been together, they once again begin to dream of a future together. Yet a sense of duty, and her calling and source of joy seem to make a life together an impossible dream. Will they find a way to make a future together a reality rather than a fading dream?

This story is a lovely Christmas read about second chances, family, love, secrets, misunderstandings, wonderful dogs and a Grandma who is more than meets the eye. The feel of a family Christmas with all the traditions, fun, drama and laughter that can come with them made this a fun and interesting read for me. My heart felt for both Everly and Noah, I wanted them together but could see things from both their perspectives. I could easily see this being turned into a Christmas film. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
