Sunrise Honeymoons: Lake Geneva Love Poems

Rate this book
Sunrise love is the love of youth. Love that is fresh and innocent in the morning, and love that we want to wake up to every day. This collection was inspired by living in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, otherwise known as the honeymoon capital of the mid-west. A perfect gift for honeymooners of all ages, it is AnSperry's hope to inspire lovers of all ages to fall back into the bliss of new love every day. ”First I want to compliment AnSperry on the organic wholeness of this collection. The title perfectly ties together the ecstasy stage of romantic attachments. It is a very finely focused meditation; the language obviously well-crafted, transparent, and clear. Also, there is a delightful sense of playfulness. The paintings complement the poems admirably. I caught myself thinking many times this woman with such a genius for interior design has brought that same genius to the matching of visuals and auditory music. Bravo!”Anthony Garrett, professor

I found this author's book after watching a video of her explorations as a roaming poet. She had converted an old school bus into a refurbished RV on YouTube. Kind of cute since she's a retired teacher too. So, she's spending her retirement traveling the country teaching classes at camp sites on painting and writing while continuing her artistic pursuits. So, I had to try out one of her books.

I did enjoy this collection of poetry. I don't often read poems, but I did enjoy savoring a couple of these poems each night before I read my regular prose fix. It's a nice respite from the daily grind as well, a nice moment to reflect on the poems and what their ideas and messages might mean to you.

I'm going to purchase another one of her collections. I love supporting her by buying her books, and of course, enjoy the nice, reflective moments her poetry creates for me.
