It's now 12/28 and ... I just ... this book was a fucking goddamn mess. It says "book one" though ... I can't see how there's book 2 but who the hell knows there can always be more mess.
I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT think nothero made up for all his shit. And I get a lot of it wasn't his fault - the biggest " " thing - although I felt like the goddamn kidnapping FL's kid and him eloping with the princess was the biggest thing - and there he could've fucking COMMUNICATED WITH THE FL. Even goddamn leaving her a note. But nooo then there wouldn't be plot and angst! Whatever just the fact that it had to happen was big enough. The huge misunderstanding and FL just FORGIVING HIM like nothing still makes me mad - like are you fucking kidding me HE FUCKED UP INSANELY. Even if he had good reasons for his actions he SHOULD HAVE TOLD YOU.
I just ... really have questions about this author.
Ugh. Anyway. Kinda impressed with everything that happened it was truly like nonstop action but it was mostly cuz everyone is RELENTLESSLY AWFUL and just want to kill the FL, the ML, or both. Though mostly FL. I'm still mad she didn't end up with TianPi. It was annoying to stick with a trashass unworthy guy.
Even though sure he became "the strongest" which I felt really unbelievable too like 🙄 sure he's gifted but somehow ONLY he improves and not any of these other literally 10,000 year old geniuses? The LITERAL GUY somehow formed from heaven and earth? Give me a fucking break.
Honestly I'd prefer to give this 1.5 stars.
It was clearly emotionally compelling considering how worked up I am.
Just there was too much stupid thrown in. Too many issues that could/should've been more maturely dealt with (again, author questions).
And ... xuanhuan is not my genre/I should've looked into it more - and also now I know to try to mostly avoid it. I think I took so many angry screenshots and sent angry texts while reading it like "DO YOU SEE THIS FUCKERY." There were also a lot of what could've been interesting plotlines that were dropped and instead ugh was followed. I really felt TianPi was wronged and that stupid hare-god-crane-dude ... I want to slap him upside the head about a hundred times.
ML also deserves to take a baseball bat to the dick about 1000 times. He'll be fine. I also still want him to explode and reform at least eight more times. I was so fucking annoyed he reformed by the next chapter. He never suffered enough.
This was definitely a D read.
