This is a strong 3+ stars, rounded up to 4 to encourage her to write the next book.

Having read a series where the Roman/Greek gods still roam the planet (https://www.goodreads.com/series/1763...), I was intrigued to discover that this had a similar back-story. Plus the Christian God and angels co-existed with the Roman/Greek pantheon, and mated!

In one sense this is another billionaire captivating a naive woman with hidden talents, but the mystical aspects are well done. The extent of the interaction between angels, demons, and humans grows during the story. The sex scenes are intense and nicely detailed, with extra benefits.

There are a lot of characters and side-stories, and this book ends on a plateau. I look forward to seeing how the story progresses.

I am generally not a reader of angel and demon tales but the cover and the blurb drew me in, and I have to say this book did not disappoint! I have not read this author before but having finished Iver and Isaabelle's story I find I want to read book 2.
The characters, Iver, Isabelle and Jax, were well described and had real depth. Iver was the perfect dominant angel!
I thoroughly enjoyed the tale and I recommend this very well written book to readers who like some sizzle in their books.

I'm new to paranormal romance and at first I wasn't quite sure if it was a genre for me. But I have to admit it is a fun read and a great way to lose yourself for a few hours. West's fast-paced, steamy book pulls you into a world of fallen angels and immortals. There’s mystery, music, and did I mention steamy romance? Overall it’s well written with cool, interesting characters, and a great start to a new series. Recommended!

I could not put this book down!

Fallen Angel (Angels and Demons Book 1) I loved this book, and could not put it down, had to finish it in one sitting. The story is solid and fast-moving, Iver and Isabelle seem to be opposites, but the sexual attraction is electric. The twists and turns of the story will leave you wanting more with each page turn. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series.

Isabelle and Iver!

Such a wonderful read. Very interesting with me not knowing what was going on in the book.
I’m glad I read it and wished it didn’t end so abruptly. Maybe there’s a book 2?

This first book in the Angels & Demons Series by Skylar West was a great way to start this series. The two major characters, Iver and Isabelle, are definitely not what they appear to be as first introduced to the reader. Iver is one of the original immortal angels sent out of heaven, and now called the fallen, who is tasked with not only finding the savior of their species but also making her fall in love with him, who of course turns out to be Isabelle, a young carefree woman who just wants to have a great career playing the drums with her band. This is also a story about the introduction to Isabelle of the idea of her submission to a dominant who does not hesitate to physically punish her with a spanking if he feels it necessary. As the game between the two of them plays out, there are many many scenes of deliciously naughty and sensual sex scenes that are vividly described in all their R-rated naked splendor. Amongst all this, Jax, Isabelle's brother who is also different than he first appears seems to have found a hot female called Lillith for himself to have fun and sex games with. I already have the Advanced Reader Copy of the second book in my TBR. This is a voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Booksprout for Blushing Books.

This is the start of a new series. The whole world that the author built is great. There are the descendants of the fallen angels that are moving about the world. We first meet Iver who is an immortal who has been charged to find the one and to protect her. Then there is Isabelle, a young musician who does not know that she is also an immortal and the one that Iver has been sent to protect. The two quickly recognize they love one another. But it's not all happiness and roses. Someone is stalking Isabelle and Iver is working hard to protect her. There is a HFN and the story will continue in the next book.

Iver has been sent to protect Isabelle, a musician that does not know her own ancestry. Their romance has ups and downs as well as a few twists and surprises, but they are headed in the right direction. Could not put this book down and can not wait to see what happens in the next storyline.

Quick Summary
Musician, Isabelle loves her band and loves her music. Her life pretty much evolves around them and she'd content. When she meets Ivar, a mysterious man who is suddenly single mindedly pursuing her, she's thrown off kilter.

Iver is the son of a goddess and a fallen angel and he's been tasks with finding and mating with Isabelle, the last descendant of Ariella. A fallen angel who's power will be the only thing to save his kind from extinction.

If he thought his mission was difficult finding her when her family went through a great deal to hide her, it's nothing compared to finding out his fated mate has been left completely in the dark about her true ancestry.

 🖤 ~ My Thoughts ~ 🖤
This is the first book in a new series so there is the common overload of facts, backgrounds and foundation that the rest of the series will build on. You'll get an intro into the how, why, when and who of the Fallen Angel bloodlines, a little bit of a history lesson to guide you from the past to the present and a few wily characters to keep your interest piqued.

Overall the story was interesting, with a promising start. I liked the author's own spin on supernatural angels and immortality. What fell short for me was the chemistry between Isabelle and Iver. A lot happens in a really short amount of time between them and I just never found myself emotionally invested in either character. It felt like an easy out that Iver transfers his memories to Isabelle and all her doubts and questions just fall away. Some one on one page time of them really getting to know each other would have gone a long way, imo.

Heat Level: 3/5, It was okay but without that chemistry between the MCs the smexy times felt just okay.

Contains:  BDSM, power play, rape (off page)

If there were half stars, I would have added one to my rating. I quite liked the story, but it had some things I would have liked to seen a bit more elaborated on.

Iver Eriskay is yummy. Really yummy. Like hot chocolate with a generous dash of rum in it and whipped cream on top. He's captivating from the start. Isabella Ackels is a beautiful, mysterious and very sassy young woman. The attraction between the two is instant and very early on the reason for that becomes clear.

It's a fast-paced (a little to fast-paced) erotic love/mystery story. As a reader, you get a lot of information on the history of Angels and Demons, Gods and Demi-Gods, immortals and how to become one. There's a lot happening and although it is in my opinion very well thought-out, I would have preferred a slower pace of unfolding the story. That would leave room for more in-depth exploration of the characters and a slower, maybe even more intense romance between Iver and Isabelle. The other (for now side-)characters could have gotten a little more real as well, like Jax.

I've read this as a free Kindle copy. The book does not end with the completion of the storyline. If you expect a full novel, you'll be disappointed for it's not a stand-alone read, so be prepared to buy the second book in the series, Dark Angel Discovered.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Isabelle was the drummer in a band and had a goth look about her. Each night during her set break a handsome man that looked like trouble with a capital T would send her a special drink. The first night was champagne that she knew wasn't stocked at the bar and another exotic drink each night.

Iver was the son of an angel and a god. Indestructible. He learned from his father Enoch over the millenia when it was time to move to another area of the world to be undetected.

I absolutely loved this book! Fallen angels and demons fighting against each other in contemporary times. I love the characters and the POVs of several characters besides the hero and heroine. The sexual chemistry between Iver and Isabelle is off the charts smoking hot! This is the first book in the ANGELS AND DEMONS series and I can't wait to read the continuing story for Iver and Isabelle and to see what happens with Jax and Finn.

I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more books by Skylar West!

A wonderful read, great addition to series
This is a wonderful read that I thoroughly enjoyed and I recommend to other readers, I will however not give away too much about the story as I do not want to spoil the plot for others.
Isabelle is a drummer of a band and she has started to notice on a nightly basis a man that stands out in their crowd, he has an air of possible Trouble about him but she could not exactly tell you why.
Iver is an angel’s son and also is a god, although he would be considered to be unharmable in fact totally indestructible he knows that when he is noticed it is time for him to move on and this seems to have happened.
I loved the characters and the subject of this book and I guarantee that you will find it as entertaining a read.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

This is a great read that puts a new spin on the Fallen Angels from the Christian Religions and even where Demigods come from. It also shows that the Dom can really look at the wants and needs much deeper into what the submissive wants. He takes into account that his submissive will want to make her career a priority and not just think that he has to be everything. A lot of Doms do this but when it is such a drastic danger involved with her staying in this career and her immortality he seems like he will make everything work.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out through the series as the 2 main characters are holding the fate of all the immortals lives in their hands. I cannot wait to read the rest and see how she pulls in the BDSM even more into this great story line.

You will not regret reading this book and owning it as well. I have already read it a couple of times and I know it will be one I will come back to depending on how I am feeling that day.

I swore I wasn't going to read even one more BDSM book that treated a BDSM club like some game, but here I was, and a Sci-Fi book too. If the blurb had been correct and mentioned BDSM, I would not have purchased the book. That said, I did start the book.

I found it a tough read because of not only the pace, which was breakneck as if the author wanted to make sure she could tell the story quickly and get it over with. But there was no character development so there was no way to warm up to any of the characters. As badly as I wanted to like the H and h, I just couldn't do it because there was nothing personal that would speak to me as a reader.

DNF'd at 50%. The lack of character development at that point had me shaking my head and I just couldn't get into the book at all past that point.

What an interesting story this was to read. And i can safely say that i really enjoyed it. Archangel Michael has sent billonaire immortal Iver to protect the missing savior. And it seems that , as it turns out Isabelle is that women.
She is in a band, and when she meets Iver sparks fly between them. What she thinks will just be one night, turns out to be much much more. I actually really liked Isabelle, her character believe it or not is amazing. She dosnt seem to scare that much and i really thought she took who she was really well and in her stride. As for Iver hes a wonderful person, a dominant, who soon realises that Isabelle is his.
This story is really worth while reading and im looking forward to more in this series.
Definately worth five wonderful stars

This well written book 1 in the Angels and Demons Book Series, a steamy, Paranormal Romance was interesting as it had some well-thought out scenes and story plots. These characters have very strong wills and personalities and their interactions are believable. This wonderful story has the following: intrigue, twists and turns, adventure, action, danger, love, steam and a HEA. It is a fast-paced, paranormal romance book that will keep you hooked from start to finish. I am will be on the lookout for books and series by this author

Interesting story

Isabelle is an artist, a drummer in a band. She has two brothers and no parents. They died. Iver is the son of two powerful God's and has been charged with protecting Isabelle and keeping her safe. She must fall in love with him and have a child as she is the immortal savior.

She was assaulted when she was a teenager and that changed her. She is estranged from her oldest brother, and he knows nothing of what happened to her. Over is the key to reuniting the family.

This first book was very interesting and I will continue to read it.

Read on my friends

I am new to the angel and demon pairings in paranormal romance, but I really enjoyed this one.

I was enthralled with Iver and Isabelle from start to finish. They are complete opposites but their connection is so strong. Isabelle has always dreamed of being a famous musician and will do anything she can to make it happen. Iver has been sent to find her and keep her safe from the enemies lurking in the shadows. He never expected to fall for her.

The journey to the HEA was hard fought but well worth it.

What an enjoyable read
I am always in awe of authors can change a romance into a ROMANCE. This was quite an interesting story. Isabelle and Iver have quite the connection from their first meeting. Isabelle, unknown to herself, is someone important to humanity. Iver, the child of a fallen angel and a god, is tasked with her safety and her life. Love is the answer. This book was well written because it has a solid plot which is not easy for unique storylines. I loved it.

I couldn’t put the book down. I loved the premise of Fallen Angels and their descendants being on Earth and choosing immortality or not.
Iver the son of a Fallen and a Goddess and he has a mission to protect and mate the last direct descendant of Apollo and Ariele.
The story doesn’t end in a cliffhanger but is definitely not a standalone, making you want to continue to read Isabella and Iver's challenge to keep the magic that maintains the immortals alive on Earth.
