Lots of good stories - but a majority end abruptly with “more to come”
****Anyone but You by Various: a lot of stories in this collection. I read a lot of these stories and most (of those that I read) were good. However, a majority seemed to end abruptly with “more to come”. My reviews below for the stories that I did read.
*****My Guy Problem by R. L. Kenderson: Well written and entertaining
This storyline is enjoyable, with a nice build, and a good pace, as well as relatable/likable characters with chemistry. The steam level is medium and compliments the story nicely.
*****Dickmatized by Leela Lou Dahlin: sexy and sweet
This book was not what I expected, and I loved it! Sweet, snarky, funny, sexy, and wholesome, with relatable characters and wonderful family and friends. Very good!
***Grade A A$$hole by Vanessa Booke: an ok read
For some reason I just couldn’t get into this book. It was ok, it just didn’t hold my attention, so I skimmed a lot.
***I’ll Never Stop by DC Renee: sweet and predictable
A little too sweet, and predictable, but a good story overall with a nice HEA.
****Cloud Storm by Susana Mohel: Enjoyable!
This story is all over the board, but it kept my interest. Relatable characters, a good pace, some steam, and a good storyline with a nice HEA.
****Hot Cop by Aubrey Valentine: Good!
The chemistry is good, the friendships are fun, and the storyline is entertaining. The characters are relatable and all wraps up with a nice HEA, and a cliffhanger for the next book/couple in this series. (Otherwise, this story is a standalone.)
****Virtually Yours by Ja’Nese Dixon: Good
This story has intrigue, conspiracy, danger, murder..., and a love story. A nice chemistry between the characters, friends who may be foes, and a HEA for the love story. But questions remained unresolved, so the ending left me hanging. Officially “The end.... for now”.
****Love Me Never by Lizzie James:
Two CEOs. An intrigued bad boy and a cautious women who wants to keeps things strictly business. Some push and pull, unanswered questions, and a promising relationship. Ends abruptly with a HFN, with many unanswered questions. More of their story promised for 2022.
****Shaggy Maggie by Tiffani Clark Kemp: hated the ending
I was really into this book. Twins love the same woman. One has a history with her, one is engaged to her. Then add in a crazy stalker/murderer. This book is good, but messy — and I really really hated the ending....
****Fine Line by Rachel M. Storm: sweet and entertaining
A love hate love story that is fun and sweet, with a nice HEA.
****Love Like This, Hate Like That by Stacy McWilliams: good, but.
Lots of angst and drama. Secrets and heartbreak. Friends... those that have your back and those that stab you in the back. Love... and hate. Good pace and interesting characters, with a nice pace. But. Not the full novel (which is promised for later 2021).
