She’s clinging to me and I notice the way she feels against me.We’re staring at each other... I can’t help myself, I’m drawn to her for some reason.
Sweet & steamy short story insta-love romance with an older alpha police officer and younger curvy woman with an HEA. NO cliffhanger. NO cheating. This is the 5th and FINAL story in Springs Patrol Delta

Scout is a patrolman whose fellow cops all seem to be hooking up lately but he is happy being single. When Veronica/Vee speeds through town he goes in pursuit and ends up rescuing her when she has an accident and then gives her a ticket. Veronica goes on a camping trip with her friend and the friend’s boyfriend and Vee is surprised that Scout is joining them. Vee and Scout both feel a connection but she is only visiting the area. Will Scout and Vee begin a relationship when they will only be together for a short while since they live so far apart?
I enjoyed this short instalove story where they were both attracted to each other but they had to figure out a way to be together. The author did a great job showing us how they both felt and struggled to find a way to be together. The epilogue was a great ending for their story. I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving this review.
This was a quick, instalove, fun read. Easily one of the best in this series. It is a stand-alone, but this series is best read in order. Characters from other stories appear in the story, and you’ll get a more some tidbits of the main character’s persona. Besides the whole series is enjoyable. The relationship in this book was a pretty fast one, but though we didn’t get a lot of the backgrounds of the characters, we received enough to get a good idea who they were. This was more about the inner battle we face when something seems too good to be true. Loved Scout’s mental dialogue. If you are looking for a feel good, happy, quick read..look no farther, you’ve found it. I received book as an Arc copy, for a honest review.
Vee is visiting her friend and is in smalltown USA. What a podunk town...no traffic, just jamming to her radio until another car makes her swerve off the road and into the ditch. The only thing good to come out of that is the hot cop Vee can't forget. Knowing she will never see him again, she doesn't tell her friend about her accident. They are headed camping and who knew that Scout would be there too (her hot cop). How can she spend a couple of days with him camping? She should just head back to LA now!!
Another fab short read. On a trip from LA, Vee crashes her car and cop Scout is first on the scene. Despite the accident there is in instant spark and attraction between them that they both think won’t develop. The next day they find themselves on the same camping trip with their best friends who are a couple. I loved the chemistry between the two of them. You can see that they are meant for each other even though they try to fight it. This is one of those stories where you can believe in instant love. Perfect escapism with a side of steam.
"Love makes you do funny things." This is a short and steamy romance with likeable characters. A love at first site romance.
Scout is "pretty happy with the way things are in his life." Single and always ready to mingle." He's looking forward to the camp out with his friend and his wife. Now if he can get the reckless woman out of his mind, he'll be able to relax and enjoy himself.
Veronica "Vee" is here to visit her best friend. They're camping for the weekend. After wrecking her car, she never expects to see the hunky officer again.
The 5th book in the Springs Patrol Delta series is a very entertaining finale. Scout is an older alpha and Vee is a younger woman. They meet when she has an automobile accident. She was speeding at the time and he was in pursuit. The attraction is instantaneous. Scout is Hot and the storyline is Steamy. There is a sweet HEA. This has been a very enjoyable series. This review is based on a complimentary pre-release copy from the author.
I was very fortunate to have received A ARC copy of SCOUT by the very talented Kayla Kelly . This is a quick insta love romance , but non the less absolutely worth reading . The instant chemistry between the 2 main characters , the angst , the excitement . This book has it all . It kept me up most of my night until the very last page . Kayla is a amazing author and one of my very favorites . ❤️💜📚🖤
Quick, sweet and easy read. Scout (policeman) meets Veronica following her car accident. Turns out they share best friend status with Nate and Carol. The four spend the weekend camping, and sparks fly. No time for character development, leaving the story disappointingly shallow and unbelievable. I received this book as an arc and this review is entirely voluntary.
Another quick, insta love love sexy book by the wonderful Kayla. The characters are likeable, great storyline and hot to boot. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, why can’t MY town have so many hot cops. Worth considering being a bad girl,if there where cops like Scout and co..... around. Come on fellow readers, you’re all thinking the same! Lol.
I received an ARC copy of this book through BookFunnel and I voluntarily chose to review it. It is a well written short story with great characters. I would have loved to have seen the story developed more. Once again Kayla Kelly wrote a story for a lazy afternoon of reading. Yes it was a quick easy read but well worth your time.
Great series. Love Scott and Vee they are cute together. Really like the way you think they are going to go there separate ways and then he runs back to the camp site and she there waiting.
This is an insta-love read about a hot Cop, Scout. It's a nice addition to the series. We see some of the previous characters in this. Hopefully, there are more to come.
He’s the last of the cops to instantly have a jones for a girl he rescues on the job.i will point out, Vee was speeding. Scout comes to her aid. And it’s on....
