Jane is a teenager in high school who had always been insecure about her looks thanks to her older sister who was always deemed more beautiful. She thought living under her sister's shadow was the worst thing that could happen to her.Until one day, her luck turned for the worst when the school's biggest jerk and the bad boy Jake decided to force her to become his wing-woman to win Liliana's heart! Not only that, she accidentally bumped into an even bigger jerk, Jake's older brother Aaron who couldn't seem to keep his hands off of her. How will she ever escape these ruthless bad boys?
Okay let's start with the end. Jake is a senior and Jane is a junior so how exactly are they going off to college at the same time? Sorry that's the most recent thing to bother me so it had to be mentioned first.
The story idea has a lot of potential but the whole thing is Janey telling the reader about what happened there's no showing. The characters are interesting but none are fully developed. There's little to no description in the whole story. It's more like draft one where the writer is getting the idea out than a fully formed book. Basically this could really use a content editor to help the writer turn and interesting idea into a fully developed book where the plot is shown and the characters have arcs and growth to make them fully dimensional characters.
I really do not know where to start. You have ugly duckling Jane, pretty sister , hot brothers and a good plot. Sadly everything was written like a grade school \victorian writer. Who writes like this anymore, things like he took my innocence? The person who wrote this needs to just add it on kindle unlimited so that someone does not waste money.
This book had good bones. But some of the details were off. A book that could have been told in 300 pages was crammed in to 173. It followed a pretty standard bully romance trope but supporting characters were under utilized and at time it seemed like the phrasing was off. Jane had tons of potential and her and Jake and Aaron’s story could have been epic. I think if the author went and fleshed out the characters and put more heated scenes between jake and Jane. More of that dark enemies to lovers stuff. This could have been a home run.
That being said I am going to read the second installment and I would like to give the author props on the wit and comfortable banter between Jane and jake. And the fun personality that she was able to cultivate in Jane.
This book is toxic. A stalker and a girl who is ugly because she has brown hair and doesn’t dress girly. Wow. Horrible story with not plot. This book is so shallow it’s unbelievable. I can’t explain it. It feels like it’s going to give anyone who is young and naive that this is the proper way to treat a person and go about asking them out. It’s horrible in the sense that it gives out the wrong message of how you should treat someone and be treated. I feel like this was a rough draft.
The plot is not that bad but it really could have been written better. Everything proceeds WAY too fast. The love stories are weird: one starts good and ends kinda abusive, the other starts kinda abusive and proceeded kinda well. Plus every time they have $ex she literally says that “she gives in” - SOoo romantic.
Very easy quick read. This definitely could turn into a mini book series with Aaron's story and then Lilian's stories. I wish she could of developed more back stories with why Jake and Aaron were the way they were.
Read on GoodNovel. Interesting premise but needs some more editing. Jane has not always had it easy and now with two brothers after her, life has another complication.
Just a normal story where the female MC choose the bad boy who is an a**hole over a good boy who have treated her right from the start. First she dates the good boy and leave him for the bad boy. The most interesting part about this situation is that the bad boy and the good boy are brothers. Miss gurl literally pulled an Elene Gilbert💀.
I'm sorry but this was bad... Since it popped-out on me on social media as a teaser to download a reading app, I knew it wouldn't be exactly a bestseller. I expected already bad (bad writing, unoriginal story and not likable characters), but it was worse. It's a bully romance, but the kind of where Hero physically attacks the heroine (tackles her or pushes her, calling her names, etc.) and why does he do this? No reason - really he just likes her and doesn't know how to deal with it!! Seriously? Hoping that such reading won't affect anyone's lives. I mean yeah it's fiction, but there are a lot of girls, who craves such romance in a real life. If a guy attacks you in a real life, don't mistake it with love in any way! It has nothing to do with it. Even though in this story the Hero turns out to be very sweet in the end, the beginning is just ugly. As previously mentioned in the reviews the details don't add up, the writing is very shallow and many times the behavior of the characters just doesn't make sense. There are better books with lower rating out there...
