It's been one long fight for survival, but the crew of the Boomerang is about to change that.
But deciding to go on the offensive is one thing. Winning the fight is quite another. All the luck in the galaxy may not be enough to protect them this time.
Invasion! is fast-paced space opera at its best, perfect for fans of golden age pulp stories full of action, drama, and fun!
In this episode, Eli Bryce has carte blanche approval from Brotherhood Command to track down and apprehend or eliminate the rogue Earth Squadron Chairman, Sherman Amos. They felt certain they could find and follow him, having eliminated his ability to know their every move. The efforts to force him out of hiding were becoming more successful, but he had command of sufficient personnel and equipment staged at appropriate locations to block their moves. He also had resources to utilize cutting-edge technology in building spacecraft and weaponry, to hold an advantage over his enemies. Meanwhile, Eli’s pilot, Miles Blunt, decides to accept his inheritance of his father’s underworld empire on Pi Squared Two, which controlled a vast network he could use to help Eli in his quest. Will Eli finally capture the Chairman, or is he destined to fruitlessly chase him all over the universe? This is another action-packed segment in a great series. Buckle up and hold on tight! I am enjoying and highly recommend this series – start with the first episode to fully understand the story. I received an ARC to get an early read, and bought a copy on release to help support this great author team.
I tell you this team of Joshua and Daniel are like the masters of team writing. With each book I see more depth of the stories, they are constantly evolving into a great orchestra's crescendo. In book 8 you will see how team Eli is trying to chase down an evil rogue chairman. But this chairman Amos is also a quick learning bad guy of his own, and a sort of escape artist too. It seems that as they get close finally grabbing him he has "poof" moved away. The action of this team is way up over the top, the dangers are along side the action. I can't wait for book 9 that sets us all straight one evil way or on the other, Eli's side. Who knows??? buy books 1-8 and add on 9 which comes out in a couple more weeks. I highly recommend it! Buy all their books as a team you will not go wrong.
I chose a 5 star rating based on several things. The character development was great, the sticky line was so fun and interesting, with great potential to run this books series beyond 9 books. It is a terrific read for any syfy lover. James and Young write so well together, I have read most of their books and while I wait for December 2020 to receive #9, I shall dive into Lucky's Marines. After that, I would have read everything they’ve written. Thank you for a wonderful time in my imaginations via your words!
Eli and crew are back for another action filled adventure as they chase down the evil Mastermind with the help of their allies. It was full of action, adventure, danger, and intrigue as they do what they do best and go for the win. Loved the characters and the story. Was glued to the end to see what Eli and his crew would face this time. I honestly liked the story and thought it was a great addition to the series.
Received as an ARC copy, this is an honest review. Eli and his rag tag crew have endured so much pain brought on by Amos... and now they may finally bring him down, throwing all caution to the wind. An epic, edge of your seat cat and mouse chase from across the stars and dangerous worlds ensues from the first page to the last. Highly recommended.
This book fit the series very well . A lot of different things happen in this book and I'm not going to give them away but it is an exciting book with a lot that's going on . I think the next book is the last one in the series so I think that there is going to be a lot going on to unwrap all this and just who the true bad people are.
The chase to save humanity with the Brotherhoods help is complicated. But closing on the mastermind behind this chaos includes close battles on the ground and in space. Can the crew finally make all the moves to end this stealth war?
Once again another great storyline. They keep getting better lol. The bad guy Amos seems to have made himself indestructible lol.. Looking forward to book 9 Salvation
