Rate this book
(Revision in 2023)A dark and twisted world where self gratification, lust, desires, mystery, and emotions are all mixed up in a messy Love triangle, or should I say, Love petagon.Bampires are not your ordinary Vampires. These creatures live in a world where rules don't apply to them. Their society runs strictly on pleasures and sweet tasting blood that allows them to walk among humans on Earth. These Bampires are from a planet off-world called Bamptillia and crashed on Earth to escape oppression and dominanation. Now that they run their own society, they realized one thing they desire most that humans naturally have. What is it? The Bampires have immortality, wealth, beauty, and even carnal sex that would satisfy the most insatiable nympho. But the humans have the one thing they crave most, TRUE LOVE.This story starts with a young woman named Juju, whose unknown history would expose a society of Bampires. It could destroy the very peace of the human myth that Bampires have always kept hidden. This danger is going to appear on her 20th birthday and she has no clue it's coming. Only one Bampire has an idea and has dedicated his life to being her protector. But this Bampire LB, is running from his own demons. What would put fear in the heart of an immortal creature that can't be killed? This story of lust, tragedy, and unknown powers at play will have you on the edge of your seat wondering what is happening, going to happen, and who is behind it all. So if you are not interested in murder, mystery, mature content, and many scenes of uninhibited sex, this Bampire series is not for you. But for those of you who dare to open these very pages, good luck and make sure you have no place to be before you start. Happy Reading.

My name is LB Harpdog (Indie Author)
I write Vampire Erotica. 18+

I can't wait to introduce you to a Bampire. What's a Bampire?

Oops, My name is LB I wrote a 6 book Bampire series. Creatures who enter your mind and locate your darkest desires and enjoy them there with you.

But I wrote these books as a promise to my ex-girlfreind from Berlin Germany. I created Bampires so that I could tell her what I wanted to say to her since we no longer speak.

I have one more promise to fulfill. If you want to know what that is, then message me and I'll share what that is.

What is the series about?
Two Bampires that walk the Earth and had a disagreement and split. One of them met a human woman and fell in love. His worst fears were realized when he kills the only woman who loved him know what he was.

He exlied himself in a forest where a baby was found with an aminous note that warned of a danger coming for her at her 20th birthday. So he sends her off to live with humans until her finds her with 3 days left to reveal alot of her history.

But his past lover arrives and takes the young woman and uses her to get to the Bampire.

Will this be a repeat of the love he lost, or something you never saw coming?

I wrote this dark erotic romance because I was going through a dark time in my life.

Thus Bampires were born. Many say it resembles: The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series, Immortals After Dark. Fever series, Crave Series, and The Wicked Villian Series.

Extremely emotional and erotic.

Read at your own risk.

The book impressed me as an erotic version of Interview with a Vampire. A naive narrator meets a paranormal creature called a Bampire, and is introduced into a strange new world of sex and rampant emotions.
What I liked - I thought the concept of the Bampire as a creature that thrives on blood, sex and emotion was original, and that the world building was well done.
What I didn't like - Almost everything else. The book was rife with typos and grammatical errors to the point that they took me out of the story. In a nod to a current trend, the author created a playlist for the story, with directions to the reader to listen to a particular song before reading a certain section, to feel what the characters were feeling. Problem is, a writer should use words to accomplish that, not music written and performed by someone else. Also, music is subjective; one cannot assume that a certain piece will affect all listeners in a similar fashion. The erotic scenes were pornographic, excessively so in many cases IMHO, and this also served to detract rather than add to my experience. The plot, such as it was, was chaotic, although that might have been appropriate given the chaotic nature of the Bampires.
Even though I did not enjoy it very much, I gave the book three stars because I could appreciate the amount of thought and work that went into it, and I am sure that there are those who will appreciate it much more than I did.

I’ll start by saying I don’t read much erotica. But I’m always on the lookout for envelope-pushing fiction. I like that people can use words to affect one another, and there are some good sexy books out there. Also, I’m a writer, and I stink at writing sex scenes, so I’d like to find some good erotica for my bookshelf. That way I can refer to it for writerly tricks, when I need to go sexier in my own writing.

So, I was game to give this title a whirl.

I was surprised that the book opens by asking the reader to download a spotify playlist. (It seems like a potential legal quagmire, so I’d advise the author to check if he can link famous singer-songwriters to his story in this way.) Maybe a soundtrack is a thing in erotica? The book also asks the reader to watch three videos before reading. I did not watch those, fearing porn. Good erotica is in bounds, for me, porn is out of bounds. So, I didn’t watch the videos.

But a playlist and videos feels like a cheat, to me. A book should stand on its own.

Anyway, the writing doesn’t waste time getting to the sexy themes. After the prologue (which shows a couple people being blown away in a ship), we find a woman reading about vampires and we’re off to the races.

After finishing, I had the thought that this story feels like a very early sketch of something like Stranger in a Strange Land. It has lots of mind-over-reality themes, lots of beautiful bodies although thankfully some are also normal bodies, lots of sexy times. Now, I would probably give the final draft of Stranger in a Strange Land three stars. There were some misogynistic elements to SiaSL. This feels like an early draft of that work, and it’s one in need of editing. But I’ll give it three stars anyway.

There are typos aplenty in this book (it’s a ‘grisly sight,’ not a ‘grizzly sight;’ it’s ‘Santa Claus,’ not ‘Santa Clause’) and the line editing is bad (Ex: “Oh, you’re a teacher”, I ask, feeling relaxed all of a sudden … That’s not a question, and the comma goes inside the quotes.) The narrative perspective shifts from first person to third person. We start out in first-person viewpoint of a woman… but by the third paragraph we have, in narrative, ‘LB entered her mind,’ instead of ‘LB entered my mind.’

The writing was pretty clearly male-driven, and the main sex-guru (LB) seems to be an avatar for the author. They share initials, so to his credit it’s not like the author is trying to hide this. But he seems to be trying to write from the viewpoint of the women he hopes to excite. And yet the women sound nothing like the women I know. Maybe I know the wrong women!

So, if the author’s trying to get a reader horny, well, I guess that’s one thing. I don’t care one way or the other about that. But if the author's trying to write a good book, a good erotic book, then I suggest he brush up on (1) if it's legal to insert famous songwriters into your books, because I think you risk legal action for that, (2) first person vs third person narrative and how to stay consistent in one or the other, and (3) please hire an editor.

Thanks for the read, three stars.

I have had the honour of getting to know the author and his story.
This is a true story. The author created a story about Bampires, his words to the love that he lost and hopes she will one day read.
It is extremely erotic, will give you all the feels in all the right places at the right time!!
Playlist is a must to listen to when instructed to.
This is a 6 book series and I will be reading all 6

LB Harpdog wrote the most erotic book I’ve ever read! It deserves more than five chili peppers!

Juju met LB in a library not knowing what the near future held for her. LB is a Bampire, (Sexually Driven Vampire), who takes her on a journey that shows her how Bampires live. He is able to take Juju on numerous mind expeditions which feel real.

Scene after scene you are engrossed in lust. Juju is loving these mind journeys but LB has a reason to show these to her. I’m sure we will find out more in book two as we are left with a huge cliffhanger.

LB has you extremely engrossed as you read each page. If you love spicy books this one is a must read!! I need to read book two as soon I can and I’ll make sure that I continue to read his books at nighttime.

Vampire hard-core erotica with merchandise.

Mind Night Blue begins with the claim that "this book is unlike any other", and an expectation that readers will download and watch videos (two out of three don't work as YouTube lists them as private) and access Spotify playlists (content not created by the author). I have seen the soundtrack playlist trope many times before, for example on Wattpad. I have also seen fully original, authentic, creative and innovative multimedia collaborations, for example in 2020 Pink Floyd legend David Gilmour released original songs and videos to partner an original novel written by his wife, author Polly Samson.

So, how is Mind Night Blue "unlike any other"?

As well as extreme-level, frequent sex scenes (this is p*rn level erotica, 50 Shades is like tea with your grandma in comparison. Twilight fans tread with caution!) LB Harpdog offers in-text product sales links for readers to buy related merchandise, and at the end of the book the author talks about filming their fantasy. I think with this book, this is the key to understanding what's going on.

The focus isn't on original worldbuilding or carefully-crafted sentences. There are frequent spelling mistakes, grammar errors and tense shifts - the text desperately needs professional editing. Instead of setting up a scene through writing, the reader is prompted to go listen to someone else's song. There are many mash-up references to popular pulp tropes: in the first five chapters I came across vampire aliens from space, Svalbard as a place of menace, ancient Egypt, castles, South American vampires=Bampires, Twilight, 50 shades style virgin initiation into BDSM...

So the focus here is squarely on pulp tropes, multimedia and merchandising. There is likely a market for this approach to book sales, and so long as the reader is prepared to accept this... I agree Mind Night Blue is a ride with a difference.

Mind Night Blue is a vampire world where the subject of the story visits by teleportation when she meets a vampire who is known simply as LB. LB shows her the world and tells her the stories about the sexual relationships between vampires and virgins. The story contains explicit sexual content but also keeps you wondering what more can you learn about this new world and the sexual behaviours of the characters. These sexually driven vampires are known as 'Bampires.'

They are very much like young people with their sexual determination and jealousy but with extra cruelty. Mind Night Blue is a beautiful but terrifying place.

I enjoyed this book and I felt the urge to keep on reading. Some reviewers have scolded the use of songs that the reader is referred to to play on YouTube or Spotify, but I thought the songs helped me feel the story a lot more, so I liked these live musical references. I wish the author had had this edited properly as there were a few too many grammatical errors so I gave this book 4 stars.

The writing style is different then what I normally go for from how it is formatted to words used. 'Peen' is said multiple different ways which I'm not sure how I feel about it. The book isn't bad I probably would read the rest of the series when I had time. It is a lot of spice but not as much as I was warned it would be...there is some plot built in that didn't build the world or take from it. If removed one wouldn't notice. Though the idea of this book I would love to see the plot built on and this made into a novel versus novella.

Received Mind Night Blue as part of Feeding the Kindle Addiction . . . with HOT FREEBIES!'s 2022 Birthday Bash! .

I am hoping that I received an unedited draft of this via Bookfunnel. I only made it 2 pages into Mind Night Blue, and that was after 2 attempts, prior to DNFing. Multiple grammatical, punctuation and formatting issues.

Thank you to author who provided me with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Very hardcore vampire story!! If you like lots of spice and vampires then this is for you! The MFC ends up in the vampire world and is learning about how they work and what keeps them living by LB! The camps stay living longer by having intercorce with a virgin but it can be very dangerous to do so! The MFC is a virgin and she has plenty of vampires who want her but LB protects her but she enjoys watching!

Fire!!

This is not your typical vampire / bampire story, the author puts a unique but interesting twist to the origins of vampires. The characters are intriguing but flawed which makes them relatable. Overall a good plot, BUT the steamy scenes are capital H capital O and a capital T hot , hot, hot.
You are in for one heck of a ride.

I'm rating this a 3, only because I've got no idea how to rate this. This is extremely hard-core erotica, and I feel like I'm missing the story line. Maybe it picks up in the 2nd book!

The entire book is basically spice. As an avid reader, I usually prefer a good plot with a little spice sprinkled in. But for an erotica, it’s decent. Sometimes, I did feel like someone sat in front of a porno and described what they saw and I will say it shows that this was written by a man. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I don’t know a lot of women who act or talk like the characters in this book. I’m happy to see indie authors self-publishing and promoting their work! I’m always a fan and willing to read anything they put out to help support them but I wish more would get a professional editor or realize that publishing a first draft is not the way to go. The dialogue jumps around a bit, leaving the reader unsure of how we went from one conversation to another in a split second. There are many grammatical errors, punctuation issues, and the plot line can get confusing. Which would all be eradicated with a good editor. Even a cheap one. Overall, if you’re looking for a quick erotica fix, this’ll do it.

I think it’s a first when I wanted to DNF reading something after only a couple of paragraphs on page 1…

Since this book was provided in exchange for my honest review, I knew I had to make an effort. So, here it goes, my honest, raw review. The author won’t like it.

Full review is posted @DarinasReads BookTok (https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8y2CLvR/) and Bookstagram (https://www.instagram.com/reel/DSFX65...)

There is steam. Then there is spice. There is smut. And there is porn. There is also high-quality porn. And the OnlyFans wannabe with a phone. This is the latter.

If there is a broken heart 💔 emoji, there is bound to be a broken spice emoji as well. Because it surely is broken like an old broken record stuck on the same notesamenotesamenote … you got the meaning.

For all creative ways to name body parts, the act remains, and wording remains the same: copy-paste banning, slapping, and hair tagging all the way through.

I can read only all so much of the same copy-paste scene all over again.

The introduction tells us that it was written by a heartbroken person to the ex-girlfriend. They don’t speak anymore. But the author hopes that she will read it one day.

It’s a porn fantasy written in a fanfiction style. Words “fantasy” definition here is not the genre but more closely related to the verb “fantasize” or specifically to “the power or process of creating especially unrealistic or improbable mental images in response to psychological need; a mental image or a series of mental images (such as a daydream)” (Webster dictionary).
In this case, a wet dream.

It also has music built into the story with links to listen to these songs if you are reading the ebook.

Unfortunately, I need a well-written story and a solid plot to go with it all this pounding and slapping.

My reaction to this writing style could be attributed to the fact that I was reading it alongside Alchemised and a spicy literary gem - Book 2 in the Outlander series. The contrast was startling.

On the plus side, I have never read so many different creative ways to name a single organ aka human eggplant in one book. These are so many euphemisms here for a male organ. And “tunnel of pleasure” for a female one.

Side note: the girl, the one who this book is dedicated to, I hope she is in safe space and remains safe.

Overall, it’s not the worst book I have read this year. But it’s in my “3 worst books of the year” mental list.

This was something different. I always start a book with an open mind. And now we have experienced a very, very erotic, pornografic storyline. Bit surreal, goes From scene to scene. With music as extra guidance, as is a bit the trend. It’s about LB, the Bampire. Yes, not vampire. That gets all explained in the story. So that’s original. And then LB’s broken heart and Juju the human virgin with hormons in overload. Just read if you want to experience a surreal good world buidling and Lots of erotic scenes. Although the book is written with reading explained in the book.

Beautifully Written

highly addictive storyline that has you trying to figure out what's going to happen next. A must-read! This author is indeed talented. This novel is a “One of a Kind”. The author has created a world no one has experienced before. He draws you in with every scene, describing the events in such a vivid way, you feel like you are there. Read this series and watch yourself fall in love with the characters. As you connect with them, you can't help feeling their emotions profoundly.

Even though I had been warned about the spice in this book, I was taken by surprise, this book should not be for under 18 readers.
Bampires, a new version of Vampires, are supernatural beings who stay young by having mind sex with virgins.
This would be a great Vampire/ wolf book if it weren't for all sex scenes.

Brace yourself for a rollercoaster of emotions as you navigate through the dark and erotic series, Mind Night Blue. Expect a twisted tale of lust, desire, and mystery with a touch of immortality and heartbreak. This isn't your average vampire story. If you're a fan of True Blood and can handle the edgier side of literature, this series might just be your next obsession.

I read this book and it is very erotic, it is all about your deepest darkest desires. This book I found very interesting but it is only suitable for people over 18. The fmc called juju is a virgin and she gets taken on a trip where she finds out what turns her on!!! Please read the warnings before taking this journey with her.

I'll start by saying I don't think I am the target audience of this book at all. Considering the content, there was actually a storyline and it was interesting. This is absolutely an erotica book. There are vampires. The FMC is a virgin which is important to the storyline. If you like erotica, this would be worth a read.

The spic is definitely 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ but the story is beautiful. The way the mmc describes things and his feelings in this story you can imagine exactly what he is feeling. The way he loved her and how he felt when he lost his love is both beautiful and heartbreaking. I’m just now getting ready to start book 2. Also I would advise not to read this in public if your not use to reading erotica.
