ohhhh.. 😂 I rlly didn't expect any of this. what i read in my free time is my business 😭😭💔
so the thing is, the art. OH MY GOSH IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL. but the rest of it? the entirety of the relationship felt forced and lust based (which I'm totally fine with,) but it felt a bit like that was the only thing they had.. which the author made it seem like they had an actual connection. which wasn't the entire plot, I did like the writing and the characters!
but unfortunately I found myself getting lost and confused: "wait, weren't we just talking about that like 2 pages ago?" "ok, what's even going on atp." but I ended up loving the ending.
just my opinion though, would genuinely love to hear what others think!
thanks so much netgalley, Kodansha Comics (AHHH 💖🤭) and the author- Takiba!!
Then if I pay you, will you let me touch you again?
Short and to the point. A little second chance, a sweet workplace romance, and a touch of sexiness. Would’ve loved some more of the before, but overall this was a fun one-shot. Might not remember it tomorrow, but still a good time.
What would I see in your eyes… if I told you you were the only one?

I was kind of hoping for some yearning feels and instead got sexual harassment and the inability to understand the word "no". If this had been a man ignoring the no of a woman, people would be up in arms about it, but since it's two men it's ok? Not to me. It seems that I only ever read LG books where the relationship in it is not a healthy one, or at least doesn't start out that way. It's starting to get annoying.
Also, the aggressor in the relationship (can't recall his name) ended things without even explaining that he had to go away for work to the man he allegedly loved!! Like, what the EFF?!?! And after FIVE YEARS of ghosting him, you somehow think how you want to find him again because you loved him and when you find him working at your company, you are convinced that OF COURSE he had to feel the same way as you, so his "no" couldn't POSSIBLY be true?!? How do you not realize that YOU were the one at fault in ending things and that he MIGHT just have a different opinion of you?!?! I wish he had met the love of his life after you and was living his best life and rubbing it in your face when you finally met him again.
After writing the above, I realize I disliked this one much more than I thought, so my rating is going to change. Apparently ghosting without warning, stalking and not respecting "no" gets under my skin.
1, I really did not like the relationship dynamic in this one, stars.

I liked the art I can’t lie but the story just didn’t do it for me. Even when I felt like I wasn’t going to like it further, I kept going and it did get a little better just not enough for me to like it.
Overall I feel like this romance could to a certain degree be considered sexual harassment. Really I don’t how could it not, he said no, more than once. Yet the continuous insistence just made me annoyed. Even if they get together in the end, I just couldn’t quite grasp how it could be just it. Even if you’ve been“together” with someone in the past it doesn’t mean that person wants to be with you now. After years of staying away, even changing his whole personality. I feel that should tell you something but oh well, maybe not everyone thinks that way.
I did actually really like this ,but it felt a bit incomplete and some questions weren’t really answered but I don’t know …the vibe and the story itself just pulled me in and besides all that, the artstyle is really gorgeous!!
This was surprisingly sweet after the whiplash of the beginning, I was not prepared for any of this if I am going to be completely honest with you guys. This was a lot spicier than I anticipated and what I usually prefer but to my surprise I didn't really mind it with this. It was a quick and fun read... but then again where is the HR, I don't think this is appropiate at work place. I think I would have personnally enjoyed learning a bit more about the characters and their backgrounds but it didn't bother me too much either.
Thank you NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for the e-ARC in exchange for honest review.
Oh, wow! That was steamy! This was my first time reading a BL manga. I thought the art was beautiful and the intimate scenes were very spicy! I think you get just enough details to make it interesting, but would have enjoyed knowing more about how Kanzaki dealt with his undeniable love for Futagami while he was abroad. I think the way Futagami’s back story was handled well. This was a fun quick, read.
Thanks to Netgalley and Kodansha Comics for the e-arc in exchange for my honest review.
My Selling Pitch: A graphic novel about a businessman falling in love with a sex worker and how he won’t take no for an answer. Somehow we’re supposed to find that romantic instead of blatant workplace sexual harassment.
On my do not read list.
Pre-reading: Heated Rivalry’s having its moment. Let’s read more gay shit.
(obviously potential spoilers from here on) Thick of it: Oh, straight to it then! OK.
I get so confused when they leave characters with white hair in these graphic novels because that reads as blonde to me, and I’m like aren’t blondes kind of rare?
Where is HR? This is sexual harassment.
Not to be an ass, but there’s definitely customers who would be into him not being into it so-
I just-what is this? He’s forgotten how to interact with other humans. I don’t like this book. This is why I say I don’t like the genre.
I’m just reading this like get your hands off him! No means no!
Why are you in the stacks? My guy, go to the bathroom.
Brother, that is full on. I don’t understand the stylistic choices of this genre. Like they’ll draw multiple panels of explicit sex, but somehow drawing the actual genitals is too far. Like just draw his dick. I don’t get it.
See but then they draw it later on! Like I don’t get it. I don’t get why some panels omit it.
Post-reading: You know, I had a feeling this wouldn’t be for me, and I was correct. I live for snappy banter. These books never have that. I don’t know if it’s all from stilted translations or just a different cultural mindset, but they don’t work for me.
This book wasn’t romantic to me. It just read like workplace sexual harassment the whole time. He never backs off. The younger man tells him no multiple times and he just continues to blow past his boundaries. We shouldn’t be romanticizing that. It’s icky.
It’s weird to try and sell me on the idea that a sex worker thinks they’re useless because they’re not experiencing pleasure servicing their clients anymore. As if that would make a clientele dry up. Not to be crass, but it’s an exploitive industry. The fact that he’s not getting off on it anymore is definitely a selling point for a different set, so to try to convince your audience that he can’t work anymore because of this is ridiculous. I don’t like that his backstory for getting into sex work is just being raped by a classmate and we completely gloss over that.
The whole thing was just icky. Go read something else.

"I'm just a worthless ball of jealousy, y'know?" - He says, with the sweetest smile ever.
I loved it, I really, really did. The art is great and while everything happens fast, I didn't feel like it was rushed. I do wish we could've gotten more of Kanzaki abroad and how he regretted leaving the way he did. Having him be the anxious one after they get together instead of Nagi was a very welcome change from the usual dynamic. Overall, a great steamy one-shot.
Thank you to NetGalley & Kodansha Comics for the ARC <3
Thank you NetGalley for the digital copy in exchange for my review!
This is a short little slice of life standalone that encapsulates a lot of emotions in 195 pages. It was tender, sad, and heartwarming. While at times it lacked depth, I enjoyed the ending along with the side stories after the end.
In terms of the art, I found it to be average, nothing special about it, but also not ugly or worse than average. The story is compelling, dealing with inner demons trying to accept your past while embracing the future, it was a nice story with a happy ending. The sex scenes are not too graphic which could help some people who do not enjoy that type of scenes. I wish we had a bit more of past context of one of the MMC a bit more to understand the motivation.
This wasn’t my favorite, but I didn’t hate it. I will not lie, for the first part of the story, I was lost. I kept getting the characters mixed up so that was a bit frustrating but as the story went on, I finally got a grasp on it and it was pretty decent. I will say, the relationship was a bit weird from the start since it was pretty one sided. I think after being turned down that many times, I would say to give up, but obviously they worked everything out and had a very happy, beautiful ending.
The art style in this was amazing and so well done. I have no complaints whatsoever in that department.
Thank you NetGalley, Takiba and Kodansha Comics for the ARC.

1.5 stars
Very sexual.
Which would be fine if I weren’t convinced Kanzaki (the boss) just wore down Futagami (the prostitute) over time. A power dynamic was at play, and Futagami adamantly stated many times that he wanted to move on and forget about it. I didn’t like the way this was set up; it gave me icky vibes, and I just wanted it to be over.
The writing was meh for most of it, then it took a turn with calling a character “good boy”. There was a lot of “he’s just so cute” talk.
“...if I told you the most wonderful thing about you...is seeing you trying so desperately to become the person I love...”
I don’t like it when people try hard to change a person right out of the gate. At some point, it’s just not a match, and you need to try again. It was obvious Kanzaki wasn’t a good boss, friend, friend with benefits, or person all around. He persisted even though he knew Futagami had a significant other. I just ended up being bored and grossed out.
The art was fine. However, the illustrator seemed to have given up after writing so many sex scenes; they straight-up just wrote “horny” on the background a few times. The bonus scenes at the end made it more drawn out than it needed to be. Overall, it wasn’t memorable or unique enough for me and left me feeling grossed out.

I didn't expect so much spice in a one-shot, but I was here for it. The romance did feel forced between both Kanzaki and Nagi due to Nagi being a male prostitute in the past and then years later Kanzaki- his old client- becomes his boss, however since I didn't feel much depth, I didn't mind reading this as just a spicy BL. The story has some sensitive themes that felt well handled, I do wish the trauma from Nagi being SA'd and his past struggles was a bit more developed and the journey of self-acceptance was touched on more, but overall I think their romance was messy, angsty and lusty. The art was so beautiful, and I'm glad the ending was on the sweeter side with a cute HEA.
I'd still recommend for a shorter, heated, angst filled read!
While the spice was spicy, the plot was a LOT for a little one-shot. I felt like it was a very deep story that needed more than one volume to get perfect. It felt a little bit like a one-shot version of Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, which I adore. I do think the art and the spice were amazing, I just really needed more development before both characters jumped back into dating each other.
3/5 Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for an arc. All opinions are my own.
This manga could have been an HR report/j
In all seriousness, this is a very spicy BL, and the relationship is pretty sweet. I just couldn't really get past the protagonist sexually harassing one of his employees. As the audience we know the feelings are reciprocated, but Kanzaki doesn't know that.
Made me cry so 3/4⭐ Full of both spice and story, so much so that I wish we had more than just a one shot, because at times it did feel like we didn't get to see enough. Artwork was beautiful!

outwardly, this is a fairly simple story: after a chance encounter and a series of subsequent meetings with a sex worker, a man falls in love. at some point, however, life gets in the way — they part, time passes, until, one day, they meet again.
kanzaki never truly moved on from his feelings. he held onto his love, desperately hoping for something more. seeing futagami again makes him want to start over, to feel worthy of a second chance. futagami, on the other hand, is still grappling with his past. he's processing his trauma in his own way, and carries a fair amount of emotional baggage.
while the premise itself isn’t particularly original or groundbreaking, the execution is what makes this story so compelling. i honestly didn't expect to like it this much!
i adored the way their interactions were handled as the story unfolded. futagami’s hesitation and distance, and kanzaki’s attempts to let go and respect his boundaries, even as he continued to want for something more. the constant undercurrent of yearning, alongside the flashbacks to what once was AND futagami's own painful memories-- ugh! it was all told with such sincerity and care that every small detail here genuinely made my heart ache. to me, their feelings felt completely earned and organic, and i enjoyed their journey immensely!
and the art? it’s absolutely stunning! i adored how masterful it was, how intimate and human it felt. what a delight, honestly!
p.s. i MUST check out the author's other work now ✋😔

This was a super cute one shot manga about two men with very different backgrounds who once loved one another, but were seperated when one has to go abroad for work. When he returns five years later to find the man is now working at his very office at his new subordinate, the two get a chance to rekindle their romance, but Nagi has his own traumas to get over before he can commit to being in love again.
I really enjoyed this manga - I thought it did some really great things with consent which is always nice to see in a BL manga, and dealt surprisingly seriously with the theme of someone who is sexually averse. Kanzaki was a really sweet protagonist and I appreciated his maturity in how he dealt with the stiuation. The smutty scenes were great too but mostly I just really liked how emotionally mature this one shot was and is much more about the two being able to form a genuine connection again then it being all about the sex.
I'd definitely read more from this author again :)
You’re All Mine Tonight delivers exactly what I hoped for: a hot, angsty romance that puts you through waves of emotional turmoil in the best way. Takiba balances intensity and vulnerability well, and the chemistry between the characters is undeniably strong, charged, messy, and compelling.
What I especially appreciated is that you can genuinely feel that the characters care for each other beneath all the tension. Their connection has weight, and the emotional moments land. That said, I found myself wanting their motivations to be fleshed out just a little more; sometimes the story leans heavily on kindness as shorthand for deeper feelings, and I wished for a bit more explicit clarity about why they’re drawn to each other beyond the attraction and angst.
Still, the push-and-pull dynamic works beautifully, the pacing is engaging, and the emotional payoff is satisfying. The heat, the longing, the drama, it all blends into a very enjoyable read.

With a title like You’re All Mine Tonight, you already have my full attention. And wow… Takiba absolutely delivers.
First of all, the artwork. Holy shit. It sets the tone immediately and perfectly matches what follows. This book is spicy in a way that does not waste time warming you up. The sexual tension is thick from the start and only escalates, to the point where I genuinely think my ears turned red while reading.
Everyone in this book is painfully horny, and I mean that as a compliment. The desire feels urgent, consuming, and purposefully overwhelming. There’s an intensity to the characters’ interactions that makes the story feel almost claustrophobic in the best possible way, like you’re trapped in their need for each other.
While the plot isn’t overly complex, the emotional and erotic focus is clearly intentional. This is a book that knows exactly what it wants to be and commits fully. If you’re looking for something subtle, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for something bold, steamy, and impossible to look away from, this one absolutely delivers.
Takiba’s You’re All Mine Tonight is an all-around solid stand-alone BL, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a short but satisfying read with beautiful art. The story revolves around Kanzaki, a well-respected businessman who has just returned to Japan after being transferred abroad for a number of years, and Nagi, a relatively new recruit who joined the office in Kanzaki’s absence. It’s apparent from the outset of the story that the pair have a passionate history, but what’s not clear is what exactly drove them apart in the first place and whether Nagi still harbors feelings for his once lover. In spite of the story being limited to a single volume, it didn’t feel rushed in the way that many one-shot manga tend to feel. The story developed in a way that made me feel invested in the characters and their relationship, and the little glimpses of the past offered throughout kept me on the edge of my seat.
Though the above is an honest review and all opinions are my own, I would like to thank Kodansha Comics for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley.
The art in You’re All Mine Tonight by Takiba is nice, but the story didn’t work for me. It leaned hard on well known and used tropes, and imo, doesn't really build up real emotional connection, as Kanzaki and Futagami’s relationship comes off as mostly physical. I have read some one-shot works and have experienced some level of attachment to characters, but here I didn't connect to anyone at all. I was bored.
Quick, predictable and nicely drawn. Did not work for me but I see a lot of people enjoyed it, so give it a try if this resonates with you.

This was, in the least amount of words possible Mid So very mid.
I’m not exactly sure what I expected but this was just a standard smutty BL workplace manga. It follows two men who sleep with each other five years ago (with one being a prostitute) and the other leaves to go on an international business trip and comes back to find the same guy he slept with working below him at the company
Obviously the man is in love with the former prostitute, but its unrequited for 80% of the story
Until its not. And they confess and live happily ever after.
This wasn’t bad per say I just actually did not care about the plot or characters. It was over so fast and I honestly am already forgetting plot points even though I just finished it. A quick read but not memorable or groundbreaking.

This was a lovely story, though I have to admit I was shocked to see a penis literally on the first page. Alas, it let me know what I'm in for here, and I didn't mind.
There were quite many explicit scenes in this manga, but the storyline was still sweet and angsty, with regrets, insecurities, and feelings of insufficiency. Both main characters had their own struggles and anxieties, and both of them are just unable to communicate.
I really enjoyed reading this, and would recommend it to people who are looking for an angsty but sweet story and don't mind seeing explicit scenes.
This was hot. Reminds me of the stuff I used to read when I was a teen 👹 The storyline could’ve been a bit more interesting, but the art was too yummy. The I don’t want you, but I do— And when he finally gives in. Whewww lmfao. I love me a reluctant romance.
The workplace romance was a bit fun too w/ everyone wondering about the rings lol!! I honestly don’t rate these super critically just ‘cause it’s a piece of art overall. Kanzaki def gives Daddy vibes (he’ll take care of you), and Nagi is the perfect sub.
Thank you NetGalley for letting me get ahold of a digital ARC of this book!
4.5 stars! The facial expressions are everything! Just a minor change and it can tell so much. Also I do love the kind of stories where two friends/lovers/etc meet each other again after a falling out/miscommunication and navigating new circumstances with the same love for each other as they had in the past! So good! Also also I really love how their characters were juxtaposed by Kanzaki being the one looking in the past and Nagi looking into the future, and how they came together to live in the present with each other! One thing that I wish the author had touched upon is a conversation between the main characters clearing up the end of their relationship five years ago.
This was somehow the cutest and hottest manga I’ve ever read, and I am absolutely here for it! It took me a moment to get into the flow (because I haven’t read a manga in a while) but oh my goodness was it worth it!! and those bonus chapters? *chefs kiss*!!
Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to read this manga early
