Prior to his first professional work, Tynion was a student of Scott Snyder's at Sarah Lawrence College. A few years later, he worked as for Vertigo as Fables editor Shelly Bond's intern. In late 2011, with DC deciding to give Batman (written by Snyder) a back up feature, Tynion was brought in by request of Snyder to script the back ups he had plotted. Tynion would later do the same with the Batman Annual #1, which was also co-plotted by Snyder. Beginning in September 2012, with DC's 0 issue month for the New 52, Tynion will be writing Talon, with art by Guillem March. In early 2013 it was announced that he'd take over writing duties for Red Hood and the Outlaws in April.

Tynion is also currently one of the writers in a rotating team in the weekly Batman Eternal series.

4.25 stars. This series continues to be great. There are so many small nuances in this book that add to the big picture and raise questions that I’m excited to find the answer to as this run continues.

Quick read, fast pace, good action but we also learn a bit more about the weird monsters killers society and that's what I like the most. I'm still enjoying this series and curious about it!

Every issue is a gem. JT4 continues to bring me a great story and Dell'Edera keeps bringing it to life (or death) for me. So good.

THAT CLIFFHANGER. Why are you doing this to us?
The story is advancing slowly in this one but it is already super creepy so I am dying to see how this is all resolved. I think it will be all up to Erica and I wonder how she will act.
The end is near and the need to know is great. I don't know how many issues are left but I am HERE FOR IT.

Welcome Back!

I have not returned to this series in a little while. I had been reading them pretty steadily by using some Hoopla borrows to read them on my kindle however, I took a brief pause (I really do not have a reason why it just kind of happened) but recently with the June borrows, I picked up issues 11! I know I have a bunch of issues now ready and waiting for me alongside a spin-off kind of (all about the House of Slaughter) which I am very excited to get to! Before we get to the plot and thoughts if you would like to know more about this series in general I have reviews for all the previous issues here and on my Goodreads, or I highly recommend checking it out for yourself!

SPOILERS AHEAD

Erica’s last plan backfired and not the monsters might sort of be getting out of control. If that does happen it is highly likely the entire town will be wiped off the map, which is the last thing Erica wants to happen. Now Erica is asking that they keep all citizen’s in the school if possible while she tries to figure out what she is going to do about the monsters next. However, this whole task might be easier said than done.

I really enjoyed getting to jump back into this series, it felt like coming home after a long day. However, this particular issue felt a little bit on the short side. I really still love Erica’s character and learning about the whole House of Slaughter organization (I plan to read the spin-off to learn as much as I can)! I plan to pick up the next issue from Hoopla with another June borrow this weekend!

Very good series but slow moving...the buildup for the end cliffhanger could be something done in the middle, not so shocking or anything.

This was really short. Nothing really happened. I did like getting to see more of the weird people cult situation. Other then that we did it really learn anything.

Short and sweet. Well, not sweet, but another good chapter/issue.

Ugh, I hate that volume 3 isn't out yet and I only have access to one more chapter (issue #12) for now.

I honestly can't stop myself from reading this series. It has a lot of gore, it's scary and these characters are so mysterious. I love it.

I feel like these issues are kinda...not really moving the story forward as fast as they should be. It's odd. Like the story is good, compelling, full of action, and yet...

I'm used to reading the volumes, but I wanted to be up to date. I don't think enough happened in this issue.

I’m worried for the scared and confused townspeople with how Erica reacted to hearing James lost cell service.
