We are back to Misha and Ava's side plot in this series. I love their scenes but felt the bromance between Misha and Max took over too much. It's cute to a point, but unless this becomes a threesome, it's overkill. 3 1/2 stars.

Finally! I am glad to be done with this series for now. I am tired and at my end with this mini-series. Because instead of creating spin-offs, it seems Misha, Ava, Kazimir and Emily must always find themselves jetting off to different wars around Europe. Gaining allies and leaving a trail of bodies.

This was a whole lot of nothing and sex. We didn't even fill in the pages up to the funeral in Prague. This novel covers Kazimir and Emily's time in Paris, while Misha deals with his Ava obsession, Valentina and new enemies. We also get to see what Misha contributes to the Brotherhood.

The thing is, I took Misha seriously when he was a guest in Kaz's world. He was efficient and precise. Now? He's just a fool who neglects his responsibilities to chase Ava's tail.

I am sorry but there is no love lost for Ava. She does not fit and I do not get a spark of excitement from her. She, like Misha, is losing their appeal to me. I didn't need these blanks and I don't find their story interesting enough to relive the same story through their eyes.

What's more, this is clearly a rip-off. Kenya Wright is writing the same story from two different POVs and charging people for it. Why not make one story and find a way to fill the blanks? You are clearly a capable writer because despite this trickery of a sequence, the writing is what keeps me coming back.

However, the fillers were too much this go. The excessive descriptions of hackers, sights, soups and the list goes on. In other words, this book was unnecessary or should have been free.

Expect the usual action scenes, killing, sex and Ava obsession. I somehow still love Maxwell and Naveen and Circuit are growing on me. There is no shortage of events or issues but we already read them, with the exception of one. I was just over it.

Maybe this series just needs to be read with breaks.

Is it bad that I like Ava getting dirty?

***SPOILERS***

I am Extremely Happy that Ava and the Xecutioners are pals!!! That's like whipped cream and strawberries to top of the corner piece of a hot brownie with walnuts and vanilla bean ice cream for me. And all of these A1 supporting characters!!! Ugh, I hate getting attached bc ALL MY FAVE AUTHORS be having a killing spree twitch just to keep us on our toes!
Alas, Ready For More!!!

I just can’t get enough ‼️‼️

I can’t get enough of this series. Believe me when I say Kenya Wright is a boss at what she does. This added book was just as amazing as the others. Now I got to see every scene from previous books from a whole new angle and let me tell you I was not bored nor was it predictable.
I love Misha and Ava just as much as I love all the other couples mentioned in the book.
I got to see the funny side to Maxwell that I’ve never noticed around Em. lol i definitely see why he’s Misha’s Homey.

At this point I’m just waiting to see the Corsican, the brotherhood, the yakuza and the Xecutioners to become one big happy family and the most powerful combination in the world. But who knows 🤷🏾‍♀️kenya has a way of surprising us so we’ll just have to wait and see.
Kudos to you KW. You’re amazing

Misha and Ava

Misha has his woman, and has saved the ballerinas from lecherous old men. Unfortunately, there are consequences sometimes. Apparently, Leonid didn't know who he really was dealing with, but he found out in the most excruciatingly painful way. Ava emerged as a bad ass, making plans and saving the day. The best part of it all was her demanding respect and getting it. Misha is so in love with her, he tries to sit her in a gilded cage and keep her safe, but she wants to help and does. I'm glad this book filled in the blanks as to what in the heck Misha was doing while Kazimir needed him in Paris. Excellent book.

Awesomeness

Yes, this is a great read. Misha and Ava are the businesses together. I like his character a lot. Sexy, protective, fierce, family oriented and loyal. This book has it all; a great plot, hotness, awesome character interaction and it makes you feign for more. I can't wait to read the next installment. I highly recommend you adding this one to your library!

Series is addictive

I keep saying that the next book in the series is my last one, and at times the books slow down in the middle, become repetitive and bogged down in too many sex scenes. But I really liked Misha and Ava and the intrigue in the book is well written and action packed. On to the next book

The Mosquito and the Ballerina, the Lion and the Mouse, the Butcher and the Violinist... and MAXWELL!!!! Throw the Dragon, the Xecutioners, the Devil in the mix and you have quite the adventurous compilation that runs concurrently with a couple of other stories...I just can't say enough about how much I've enjoyed this entire series! Ten stars?

Wow!!!!!!!

I’m so in love with Misha and Ava!! I hadn’t read all the Lion and the mouse books because Emily was doing way to damn much, and the fact that I felt like they tired to make Jean Pierre a punk . I hope Ava put Misha out of his misery an say yes. Maxwell may not like that Hiro wants to be Misha best friend.Poor Yefim just couldn’t catch a break Ava always had him doing something that he just knew Misha would kill him for when he found out (Lol).Rolan has claim Jackie to be his so only God knows what’s going down in Prague with the Big Bear romancing Mrs.Jones. I really hope there is another book staring Misha and Ava and their band of misfits.Oh and circuit needs to get out a little so he can stop having play time by hisself .As always Kenya great work thank you so much for entertaining us

Finally Misha and Ava

I have been waiting for this book. When reading about the Lion and His 🐁, I always wondered why the he'll Misha was up to. This book ties everything together. Miss had so much going on,and trying to keep the love of his life. It's like everyone can find love but him. Like he isn't a person and just do for everyone else. Can't wait for the next book ☺

Action packed!

I have to admit, when I ⁰first read the summary I was disappointed that this story was not about the lion and mouse. Then I read the first chapter and was like, okay Kenya I see you girl! There was so much action, it was impossible to guess what would happen next. Ava and Misha are so great together and I can't wait to see what happens next with these two. I wish the story would have ended with the funeral so we could catch up to where they were last mentioned, but I am looking forward to hearing the shenanigans they will get into. Can't wait!

Ms. Wright writes books like they should be made movies! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SERIES! Ms. Wright can do no wrong in my eyes. She does her research and I completely love that. We get a well-rounded story full of history, action, hot sex scenes, a love so pure between the hero and heroine, and the sooooooooo many laugh out loud moments. There is depth to each of her characters and I cannot possibly say any more about how she totally captures and reels you in. You are left satisfied and wanting more. A phenomenal writer who needs a movie deal, like right now! Lol. I love her writing so much and I pray she never stops! Misha and Ava were great, especially Ava! Lol, I love the scenes with his Batya and Mrs. Jones. Lol. The fight scene with the swords between Maxwell and Misha? Priceless. 5 ASTOUNDING, SUPERB, AWESOME, THESE BOOKS NEED TO BE MADE MOVIES STARS*******

Killer Obsession

How does a Ballerina becomes a Queen.... By playing 3 dimensional chess...by becoming a Unicorn.. The most valuable piece.. after all everyone knows she's the Mosquito's most prized possession... Above everything else... All the action in all of the Obsession saga is all happening simultaneously... The Lion and the Mouse...The Butcher and the Violinist... And now the Mosquito and the Ballerina shows the other set of complications happening in Russia... Que in the Xexecutioners... A group of killers closely related to the Yakuza....but that's the Dragon's problem now....I guess we are going from Prague to Japan... That's my KW...A bada$$ storytelling Sista and her magic pen😍

Yeah Misha is related to Kazimir alright!!!

They BOTH are missing a few links that make them sane!!! I LOVE IT ALL THOUGH. However, I will say there is no denying their LOVE for their women. Thoroughly enjoying the budding relationship between Maxwell and Misha too. And Ava showed she is GANGSTA, its in her roots so yeah. Cannot wait to get more of these two and ALL their supporting characters. Also looking forward to more of Emily and Kazimir.

😃😃😃

So I first read the French Mafia series and I thought Paris action was crazy. Then I read Kazmir and Em’s story and I was like whoa!!! Now reading Ava and Mischa’s point if view expands the global picture of that particular event. I need to read redemption now!

I. Loved. This. Book!!!!! The Ballerina and The Mosquito are ah-may-zing!! The addition of Rolan was genius and Naveen's larger role was terrific. I'm really loving the Misha/Maxwell/Naveen dynamic. The dialogue between The Mosquito and his Batya is flawless and extremely funny.
As usual I loved Ava and when I damn near dropped my Iphone! The Xecutioners were insane yet comical! I was really worried about Misha and Ava, but they handled themselves very well. I really love all of the main characters in this book and that is a rarity for me. I need this series to spawn at least half a dozen more books😍 As I read and reflect on the series the faces of the characters sometimes shift and change. This is how I currently see these engrossing badasses. I am eagerly awaiting the release of this on audiobook.

I'm so tired of Maxwell smoking and

whatever comic relief he is offering, I could do without. I'm tired of Sasha running away from taking care of the business with his father. Heroes don't avoid doing what's necessary for two whole books. I am halfway through and could amend my rating to five stars, but these two things are so on my nerves that I had to break off and write this. Please let Maxwell go back to Russia or even New York. And please stop avoiding business, Sasha -- it looks so weak.
