I'm not one of those people who knew from birth she was destined to become a writer. I always loved to read and throughout my childhood I could usually be found with a book in my hands. To the disgust of my friends, I even enjoyed creative writing assignments that made them all groan. But I had other dreams besides writing. I wanted to be an actress or a teacher or a lawyer.

Life took a different turn for me, though, when my mother made me take a journalism elective in high school (thanks, Mom!). I knew the first day that this was where I belonged.

After I graduated from college in journalism, I took a job at the local daily newspaper and I reveled in the challenge and the diversity of it. One day I could be interviewing the latest country music star, the next day I was writing about local motorcycle gangs or interviewing an award-winning scientist.

Through it all -- through the natural progression of my career from reporter to editor -- I wrote stories in my head. Not just any stories, either, but romances, the kind of books I have devoured since junior high school, with tales about real people going through the trials and tribulations of life until they find deep and lasting love.

I had no idea how to put these people on paper, but knew I had to try -- their stories were too compelling for me to ignore. I sold my first book in 1995 and now, more than 30 books later, I've come to love everything about writing, from the click of the computer keys under my fingers to the "that's-it!" feeling I get when a story is flowing.

I write full-time now (well, as full-time as I can manage juggling my kids!) amid the raw beauty of the northern Utah mountains.

Even though I might not have dreamed of being a writer when I was younger, now I simply can't imagine my life any other way.

I love to hear from readers. You can reach me at my email address, raeannethayne@gmail.com

Rosa Galvez is attracted to Wyatt Townsend, but with him being a police officer she feels her past will make it hard for things to work out. However, when Wyatt and his young son need an apartment while their fire damaged house is being repaired Rosa knows it will be next to impossible for Wyatt to get a place. Cannon Beach is in the middle of their busy tourist season, and Rosa feels she obligated to offer up one of the empty apartments she manages at Brambleberry House.

When Rosa’s past was revealed, I wasn’t sure why she thought it’d be a problem between her and Wyatt, as her actions were completely understandable. It wasn’t like she was a lawbreaker or anything either. It didn’t end up being a huge obstacle in the story. I appreciated the romance was low angst. Wyatt and Rosa were around each other a lot because of the forced proximity and ended up spending more time together making it hard to ignore the attraction they felt from the start. I enjoyed Rosa’s relationship with Logan, Wyatt’s cute seven-year-old son, as well.

Cannon Beach is one of my favorite places to visit in Oregon, with its gorgeous Pacific Coast beaches and forests that spill out onto the sand. The small town is cute with picturesque shops and restaurants, surrounded by greenery and planter boxes filled with flowers, and the author described it beautifully making it feel like another visit!

A Brambleberry Summer was a feel-good, easy going romance with a beautiful setting brought to life so vividly I could almost feel the ocean breeze!

A Brambleberry Summer by RaeAnne Thayne is the sixth book in her popular The Women of Brambleberry House Series. I have not read the other books in this series, but I will now! This was a fun, light book, with a spunky heroine, a tortured hero, a cute little boy, and a couple of fun dogs to make some mischief for the couple, all set in a beautiful small town on the Oregon coast.

Rosa Galvez just wants to live a peaceful life, managing the three apartments in Brambleberry House and her little store in the small coastal town of Cannon Beach. When a friend suggests she let Officer Wyatt Townsend and his seven-year-old son, Logan rent one of her empty apartments, she knows it’s not a good idea, but she doesn’t have a good reason to refuse. Her quiet, solitary life picks up and her initial attraction to Wyatt gets stronger.

This is a fun, light book, with a powerful and strong heroine, who has a past she’s ashamed of, and has a huge heart, and likes to help others. I found this book to read very fast, I enjoyed the pacing and felt the mysterious background of Rosa and Wyatt made me want to keep reading as fast as I could to get to the end.

The characters are wonderful. Wyatt, a strong lawman, his son Logan, just as cute as can be without being saccharine, and of course the energetic beagle, Hank, and the very elegant Irish Setter Fiona all made a fabulous cast of characters.

The author did an excellent job of describing the beautiful town of Cannon Beach and the lovely old home of Brambleberry House. Although this book is in a series, it’s very much a stand-alone novel.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is a romance with some suspense, and this is the 5th book in the Women of Brambleberry House Book series. In this book there is two women living in the Brambleberry house that is hiding for secrets and their past when a cop and his son comes to live there. I loved the characters, but I did feel it hard to really know the characters because of all the secrets. The hind secrets makes you want to keep reading. This book has a cloud of secrets and suspense through out the whole book, but it is very well done. I really enjoyed this book, and the ending lets out all the secrets. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Harlequin) or author (RaeAnn Thayne) via NetGalley, so I can give honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

Simply put, Officer Wyatt Townsend makes Rosa Galvez nervous. On the one hand, Rosa is attracted to the sexy cop. On the other hand, Rosa has secrets and she is certain Wyatt can see right through her. Wyatt's house is being repaired after a fire and he and his son Logan will be renting an apartment from Rosa at Brambleberry house for at least a month.

Rosa finds Logan adorable, bur she feels utterly nervous around Wyatt. Will Wyatt move out before he can see what it is that she is hiding? What about the strong attraction the pair share almost from the very start? Will either of them open up their hearts and give love a chance?

Not only does Rosa feel she has something to hide from Wyatt, her other tenant and very good friend Jen is very jittery. Jen has her own reasons for keeping her distance from Wyatt. However, Wyatt proves to be quite perceptive when it comes to the vibe he gets from both Rosa and Jen.

A Brambleberry Summer is the sixth book in The Women of Brambleberry series, and I haven't had the opportunity to read the previous titles. However, this book served quite well as a standalone, and it was very easy to be drawn into the drama of Rosa and Wyatt, as well as to what was in Jen's past.

This touching story was rich on drama with a sweet romance and also had suspense when it came to both Rosa and Jen's pasts. I love watching the stories of friendship and love in this book. This multi-layered story had excellent pacing which led to a very warm conclusion.

Many thanks to Harlequin Special Edition and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

Rating 4.5*

If you enjoy contemporary romances where the couple have their own, very different, reasons for not looking for romance but love is determined to find a way, grab yourself a copy of this heartwarming read! Although it is the fifth in the series, it still works well as a standalone, though it may also make you want to read the earlier books in the series, too – it has me!

Rosa Galvez lives in the uppermost apartment in Brambleberry House, whilst the middle one is home to her young widowed friend and her daughter who have come to this coastal community to escape and hide. The ground floor apartment is currently empty but when another close friend asks if her brother and nephew can stay there, Rosa can’t think of a good enough excuse to say no even though she’s wary of him moving in. That’s when the fun starts!

They are all great characters – and so are their dogs! There’s mystery, history, danger, the past to be shared, secrets to be revealed and dreams to come true, all skilfully entwined in the storyline to create a well written, engaging and entertaining read that is delightful to escape into. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this to anyone who enjoys this genre.

Thank you to Harlequin and NetGalley for my copy of this book which I have voluntarily read and honestly reviewed.

This is the fifth book in The Women of Brambleberry House series, but it can be read as a standalone. Having said that, I will go back and read the previous books as I want to know about all these characters. Rosa Galvez owns Brambleberry House. She lives on the top floor, her friend and her daughter live in the middle and she rents the ground floor apartment to a friend's widowed brother and his young son while they are waiting for their home to be repaired after a fire. Both women have secrets and do not want Officer Wyatt Townsend to find out what they are hiding. Neither Rosa or Wyatt are interesting in a relationship, but sometimes attraction has a mind of its own.

I loved all the characters in this story. I didn't know what the secrets were, but I certainly had a couple of ideas. Rosa is strong character, who has a past she’s ashamed of, but with her caring nature, she doesn't hesitate to help others. Both women had been through some things that have caused them to be wary of men and not trusting easily, but Officer Wyatt is one of the good guys. I love his interactions with his son, Logan. Then there are the dogs, a beagle named Hank and an Irish Setter named Fiona, which always adds a little extra to these stories. This story has some mystery, danger, a past to be shared, baggage to discard, secrets to be revealed and dreams. This was a sweet story, well-written, entertaining and enjoyable. If you enjoy contemporary romance, then I recommend you pick up this book. It is a relatively quick story that you could read in a day at the beach or by the pool. The audiobook, narrated by Stacy Gonzalez was a great way to engage with this story. She has a great voice to listen to and adds expression and emotion to the story. This is the first time I have listened to a book she narrated and I would not hesitate to listen to others. The publisher generously provide a copy of this book upon request. The rating and opinions shared are my own.

I am a RaeAnne fan and love her books but saw the cover and immediately was turned off from reading it. I live on the Oregon Coast in the area where this series takes place and walk the part of the beach that is designed on this cover. NOWHERE is there a house perched on these rocks like this. There is a State Park in that area. No house ever perches on our sea stack rocks. This so horribly portrays what is one of the most beautiful parts of our Oregon Coast and shows such a lack of understanding for the coast. If you are going to set your story in Cannon Beach then do the research to understand the coast line of our shore and beaches and what is protected and why.

RaeAnne Thayne is a master at creating these charming, welcoming, small town settings and then BAM! She ruthlessly let’s loose on the intrigue and suspense but it’s also subtle and gradual. You’re on the edge of your seat the entire book from the beginning because she plants these little Easter eggs and the tension continues to build while you’re all snug in coziness. Then BAM!
So good, I loved Rosa and Wyatt’s romance in this one. Rosa’s backstory is tough to read but she’s such a strong woman.

A Brambleberry Summer
is pretty much what you expect from a Harlequin romance. A widowed single father falls in love with his temporary landlord, whose hiding more than a few secrets.

The story itself wasn't bad, but I wasn't overly impressed with it. I'm not sure why, I just didn't believe their love story and everything just felt a little to surface level. The dialogue between everyone felt chopping and didn't flow. Maybe if it was longer I would have been able to form a connection to them.

Overall, A Brambleberry Summer was a decent romance and maybe if I had read the other books in the series I would have felt a better connection to the characters.

This is a story of triumph and courage and taking a chance on love again, even in the face of overwhelming odds against you. Rosa has secrets. Secrets that she doesn't share with anyone, well, except a very few. Her life has held some horrific events and she feels she is destined for life alone so she carved out a life with a few select friends and a place on the Oregon beach. She's happy, isn't she? Wyatt lost the love of his life when his wife died. He isn't going to find another love but he has a young son and perhaps he should try love again for him. It's been a few years now. How can he possibly be attracted to Rosa - the woman has secrets and as a police detective, he doesn't like that! But, his son loves her and Rosa love his son! I devoured this book in one day. So sweet and touching. Second chances and forgiveness of oneself. The secondary story of Jen and her daughter, Addie, only added another layer of meaning to the story. A must read!

Terrific story of love and healing. Rosa manages Brambleberry House, an old Victorian house separated into three apartments. She lives in the top one, her friend and former college roommate, Jen, and her little girl live on the second floor, and the bottom floor apartment is vacant. Then Rosa's friend Carrie asks if Rosa will rent it to her brother Wyatt and his little boy for a month or so. Rosa is reluctant for several reasons but can't refuse her friend.

Wyatt is a widower who moved to town after his wife died. He needed his sister's help to take care of his son while Wyatt worked and dealt with his grief. Carrie invited them to stay with her when his home was damaged in a fire, but it's taking longer than expected to fix it. Tired of sleeping on a too-short couch, Wyatt is stunned when Carrie finds him a place before he has a chance to look for himself.

Wyatt and Rosa already know each other before he moves into Brambleberry House. Though neither will admit it, the sparks of attraction are already there. Neither Rosa nor Wyatt is looking for a relationship. Wyatt lost the love of his life and isn't interested in risking his heart again. Instead, he's locked down his emotions. Rosa has a turbulent past and feels that the choices she made make her unworthy of love. Very few people know her story, and Rosa prefers to keep it that way.

Because of her secrets, Rosa is very skittish around Wyatt. She's certain he would see right through her. Wyatt senses that she has secrets but tells himself they are none of his business. Both are determined to steer clear of each other, but they don't count on the effects of a matchmaking sister, an adorable little boy, two mischievous pups, and maybe one ghost. Rosa quickly falls for Wyatt's son Logan, who sees Rosa as a great new friend. Their Spanish lessons are sweet. Wyatt's sister, Carrie, seems determined to throw the two together at every opportunity, and even the dogs seem to be in cahoots with the house ghost. Rosa and Wyatt don't stand a chance.

I liked seeing Wyatt and Rosa spend time together though they insisted they were just friends. It isn't too long before she finds her solo days and evenings shared with Wyatt and Logan. Her heart wants more, but her fears insist she keeps him at a distance. Wyatt finds that his time with Rosa breaks through the walls he built around his heart. Suddenly he feels things he hasn't felt since his wife died, but Rosa pulls away. When trouble comes to Brambleberry House, the aftermath breaks Rosa's grip on the past. I ached for her because she was sure it would change how he looked at her when she told Wyatt everything. And so it did, but not the way she thought it would. Wyatt won major points with me for his obvious respect and admiration for her strength and resilience. I loved the epilogue and seeing their happy-ever-after come to pass.

I also liked the secondary storyline about Rosa's friend Jen. She moved to Cannon Beach at Rosa's urging to escape a dangerous situation back home. Her nervousness at the beginning of the book is understandable as her story is revealed bit by bit. Rosa's love and support help Jen see that she can trust Wyatt. That trust is rewarded when Jen's past shows up and puts Rosa's life at risk. I loved Rosa's defense of her friend in spite of, or maybe because of, the memories it stirred up. Wyatt's part was great too.

Although this book is a part of a series, I have not read any of the other books and was able to thoroughly enjoy the story of Rosa and Wyatt as if it were a standalone. Rosa Galvez lives and works in the little beach town of Cannon Beach, managing the Brambleberry House apartments and running a little souvenir shop. She is totally content with her solitary life, letting into her heart her Irish setter Fiona. Then a new police officer needs a place to stay while his home is being repaired, so he takes at apartment at Brambleberry. Wyatt is recently widowed and has a young, precocious son names Logan. All of the characters were so realistically portrayed that I felt as though I could meet them on the street and instantly know who they were. I felt a great affinity for Rosa, a woman who has a lot of secrets in her past but who is determined to just hold them close and not let anyone touch her heart. Logan, however, could break a heart of stone and that is where Rosa begins to see that she needs to tell others about her past and let go of it. There is building suspense in this book which was unexpected for me since I was thinking this would be just a lighthearted romance. The romance was there, but the road to it was rocky and filled with intrigue. That kept me engaged and reading quickly so I could find out what Rosa’s secrets were and if she could overcome them in order to establish a lasting relationship with Wyatt. Two people with overwhelming hurts in their past discover love, so that was very heartwarming, if totally predictable. What was not predictable was all of the detours that they had to take to get to their happy ending. The plot was very well done, with some unexpected twists and even a sub-plot involving another tenant in the house, Jen and her daughter Addie. The multiple layers also added interest for me as I got to know more of the characters and felt empathy for them. The author did a masterful job of creating an engaging plot, characters with heart and soul, and an ending that wrapped everything up with a bow. Fans of romance will enjoy this journey to Cannon Beach!

Charming and heartfelt telling of Rosa's adult life. I am glad I went back and re-read her backstory in "Shelter from the Storm" because it does inform your understanding of her character.

Also I was totally surprised by the reveal (not writing it here - no worries). I guess I was so into the romance I didn't see it coming. Kinda sweet conclusion all the way around.

I've read a couple of RaeAnne Thayne's charming books, and somehow, I keep managing to come in at the middle or end of a series. Thankfully, this one, like the others I've read, works as a standalone. And I'll just go ahead and say that now that I've been introduced to this world, I'll need to go back and read the first 4 books. This one is an engaging romance with secrets, so of course, we have characters circling those things they want to keep hidden, and of course, they're gonna come out anyway. In that, it was predictable, but that didn't stop me from turning those pages. I thoroughly enjoyed Rosa and Wyatt's romance as Wyatt's son, the sweet dogs, and various other characters that come and go. It's a quick read, so A Brambleberry Summer is great for whiling away an afternoon or day at the beach.

I loved this story of Rosa and Wyatt. Brambleberry house is someplace I can see myself living. The descriptions are beautiful, and the characters feel like old friends. Add in a little suspense and drama with a cop moving into a house with women who have secrets... Great heartwarming read!

Heartwarmingly beautiful! A BRAMBLEBERRY SUMMER by RaeAnne Thayne is the fifth book in the series centering around this memorable house filled with unforgettable characters who each have had hurdles in life to overcome. I feel like this would have been a more complete story had it been one of Thayne's longer books to delve more into their backstories but I couldn't have enjoyed the charm of Rosa and Wyatt and especially little Logan anymore than I did.

Rosa was everything I wanted her to be and more! She's loyal, she's kind and she's determined to never hesitate to stand up for anyone who needs her help.

Wyatt is kindhearted and fair, but his inquisitive nature doesn't like knowing Rosa is keeping secrets.

I highly recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who enjoys a small town coastal town that is filled with character and charm as a back drop of a good romance.

The Women of Brambleberry House is the first book I have featured on my blog by RaeAnne Thayne after I posted an extract of The Sea Glass Cottage. From that, I knew RaeAnne's writing style was one I liked and I decided I wanted to review more of her books.

It is the first book of hers that I have reviewed, as well as my first book in the The Women of Brambleberry House series.

I know I am coming into the series very late, and that is always a hard thing to do.

However, I found myself absorbed in the characters lives and the atmosphere of the house.

I enjoyed Rosa and Wyatt's story and I definitely want to catch up with this series so I can understand where and how everything started as well as get more backstory.

Thanks to RaeAnne Thanyne and Harlequin Dreamer for my ARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

I’ve read this series from the very beginning and have waited for Rosa Galvez’s story – it was a long time coming, for me at least. She has a special back story and has really been the glue that holds all the characters in past stories together, imho. No spoilers from me; you will need to read her story for yourself. And you won’t be sorry.

Wyatt Townsend is the brother of Rosa’s best friend. He’s a police detective with a young seven-year-old son, Logan – an active, adorable little boy. Wyatt and Rosa have met many times before but Rosa has secrets…and she is afraid Wyatt will be able to figure them out. Try as they might, they can’t stay away from one another.

Although their road to the HEA is a rough ride, these two (or three) are perfect for one another. Really enjoyed reading about Rosa and Wyatt. Ms. Thayne’s stories always grab me and take me away on a special journey. Loved this story.

A Brambleberry Summer is the fifth book in RaeAnne Thayne's, The Women of Brambleberry House series, and it's the second book in the series I've read, the first being A Soldier's Return, which I liked but didn't love, even though I absolutely loved her Haven Point series. If you've not read any books by Ms. Thayne, have no fear, this novel, and most of her novels, work just fine as standalone reads. As with A Soldier's Return, I felt this novel was only marginally better than the last, and am giving it 3.5 stars.

Although billed as a light summer read, there are some darker aspects to this novel, and although Ms. Thayne really doesn't put them front and center, they might be triggers for some, so if human trafficking, domestic abuse, and stalking are triggers for you, you might want to skip reading this title and opt for something lighter.

The women of Brambleberry House are first, Rosa Galvez, who is managing Brambleberry House and who also owns and operates a small souvenir/gift shop in this tourist town on the Oregon coast, and the second, is her friend and former college roommate, Jen Ryan, who is raising her 6-year-old daughter, Addie. Both of these women have secrets, and they are secrets they don't want to share. Neither woman is looking for love, simply seeking a friendly, safe, and peaceful place to live and work, and in many ways, a place where their secrets will not be revealed, but all that is about to change when there's a fire caused by faulty wiring in the small bungalow bought by widowed police detective, Wyatt Townsend, who is raising his 7-year-old son, Logan.

Rosa has been a friend of Wyatt's sister, Carrie, for some time, and when Carrie tells her that Wyatt and his son have been living with her, with Wyatt sleeping on her too-small sofa, while his house is being repaired, she asks Rosa to let Wyatt and Logan move into a currently empty apartment at Brambleberry House until repairs are completed and he and his son can return to their home, and although she has reservations about this decision, she simply cannot refuse her friend's request. In some ways, having a police detective living there, may offer some protection to Jen and her daughter, although we aren't told exactly why that's needed until later in the novel. The added complication is that tall, handsome, and kind, Wyatt, is as attracted to Rosa as she is to him, although she has convinced herself that nothing cam come of it because of her past, and again, we don't learn her secrets either until much later in the novel.

While the characters in this novel are fairly well-drawn, I simply didn't feel the same connection to them that I have to the characters in most of Ms. Thayne's other novels, nor, as someone who is up-front and honest with the people I meet and befriend, could I fully understand why Rosa, who clearly must have at some point received counseling after being adopted, still, years later, felt that what was done to her made her unlovable and unworthy of love. With Jen, once we learn that what she's hiding from isn't all that unusual these days, her fear and reluctance to divulge her secret seemed over-the-top and hard to believe for this reader.

Finally, A Brambleberry Summer is well-written and an easy read, and while many readers may not find fault with it at all, I have to admit that it is simply not among my favorite novels by the talented Ms. Thayne.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions stated are my own.

Heartwarming, emotional and wonderfully romantic, A Brambleberry Summer is a spellbinding romantic tale from much-loved best-selling author RaeAnne Thayne.

Rosa Galvez cannot deny the fact that she is attracted to Officer Wyatt Townsend. Having been drawn to him from the first moment she clapped eyes on him, Wyatt is Rosa’s perfect man, however, past experience has taught her a very harsh lesson when it comes to romance and relationships. Rosa had once put her heart on the line and had it broken into a million tiny pieces, so the best she can do is try her hardest to keep Wyatt at arm’s length – until he moves into Brambleberry House alongside his adorable son! What is Rosa going to do now?

As she beings to spend more and more time with Wyatt, Rosa finds herself getting in deeper and deeper with him and his son. Rosa Galvez isn’t looking for a relationship and is happy with her life. Her past has been kept a secret and is keeping her from having the life she’s always wanted. Wyatt Townsend has moved to Cannon Beach to have the support in raising his young son. He’s not looking for a relationship or may never want one again after the death of his wife. When a fire has Wyatt needing a place to stay, so his sister asks her friend Rosa to rent an apartment in Brambleberry House. Their attraction gets stronger, and secrets just may keep them separated. When danger comes for another tenant Rosa and Wyatt will realize that their love just maybe forever and not just A Brambleberry Summer.

A Brambleberry Summer is the fifth story in RaeAnne Thayne’s Women of Brambleberry House series. A much awaited story of a woman’s strength and courage. A man’s coming alive again after a tragic loss. Emotional, and heartwarming story of a woman keeping secrets that she believes won’t let her have the future she dreams of that is out of her reach. A man who is afraid to love again after a tragic loss of his wife. A Brambleberry Summer has these two facing their fears, passion and love to hopefully find each other and the family they’ve been looking for. She’s leery of him being a police officer even though her adopted father is a county sheriff. He can’t stop thinking about his landlord but isn’t ready for a relationship. They’ll be thrown together by his sister. Danger brings them together when secrets are revealed. An acceptance is given that isn’t expected. A Brambleberry Summer brings a much loved character in RaeAnne Thayne’s Women of Brambleberry House series the story she and happiness that is well deserved. This story is a sweet, well written emotionally pulling look at the character a lot of Thayne fans have wanted to read about and asked about for a long time. You’ll fall in love with these wonderfully crafted characters, written by a favorite author.

Brambleberry House is a place for safety and healing. Rosa Galvez manages the building, which houses three apartments, for her aunt and her aunt’s friend. Rosa lives on the top floor with her dog, rents the middle floor to a single mother and her little girl. The first floor apartment is empty but Rosa’s friend , Carrie, asks a huge favor. Carrie’s brother, Wyatt and his seven year old son have been staying with her and her family while his home is being renovated after a fire. Things are cramped and Wyatt has been sleeping on the couch. Carrie wondered if Rosa might rent the lower level to her brother, a police detective, until the restoration is completed. Rosa hesitates for several reasons. Jen, the second floor tenant , has secrets and Rosa is not certain she would be comfortable having a stranger move in. Rosa also has secrets she is not sure she can keep from the handsome detective. This book is a continuation of a series (book 5) but it can be read as a stand alone. All of the books in the series are very good and I would recommend reading all of them.

I can sum up this book perfectly. Our minds read more into our past than what is real. Rosa has a past and she believes Officer Wyatt could never be interested in her with a past like hers. But when Wyatt and Logan, his young son, need a place to stay Rosa lets them stay at one of the apartments at Brambleberry House. The funny thing is Rosa’s past isn’t even something she should have been worried about.

I loved Rosa. Wyatt was great and the connection between him and Rosa was slow and sweet. But mostly I enjoyed Rosa with Logan. The characters are just delightful in the story.

I love the writing of RaeAnne Thayne. She puts so much emotion into her books that you feel you are there in Cannon Beach, Oregon. This is the 5th in the series but can be a stand alone but then as a fan of Thayne’s I am not sure why any lover of the romance genre wouldn’t want to read everything she has written.

“Wasn’t that what love should be? A window that allowed you to discover the best in yourself because someone else saw you that way.” RaeAnne Thayne has written a beautiful story as an addition to her Brambleberry series. Rosa Galvez, introduced in a Shelter from the Storm has grown and recovered from her horrific abuse and experience. Wyatt Townsend is caring for his young son and trying to recover from his wife’s unexpected death. Single father romance books are one of my favorite. (I actually married a single father with a young son) A Brambleberry Summer does not disappoint. With her gift of just the right words and phrases, Thayne shares a story of people who have faced terrible tragedy and still make a difference in the lives of others. Her novel was so captivating that I had to go back and reread Shelter from the Storm and others in the series. This is Summer reading at its finest.
