***This is a SUPER PLUS LENGTH NOVEL--OVER 155,000 WORDS LONG***

Dr. Penelope Wainright -- Penny to her friends -- is an archeologist on a serious mission for the Kindred. She must find the Eye of Tengu, an ancient stone artifact, before it awakens and causes horrible death and destruction. But before she goes to the Yown System, where the Eye has been hidden, she is given a warning -- stay way from Hell's Gate Station and the notorious pirate, V'rex, who makes it his home base. But through a series of mishaps, where does she end up? On Hell's Gate Station, alone and vulnerable, of course. And you can guess who she runs into...

V'rex is a Hybrid -- half Beast Kindred and Half Kru'ell One. The minute he sees Penny lost and alone, he knows he has to have her. The curvy little plus-sized female is exactly his type and he's about to go get her -- when fate intervenes.

After being drugged and kidnapped, he wakes up in the compound of a fertility cult. By chance, Penny has been kidnapped as well, and soon they are forced together as "Forever Mates" by the fanatical cult leader.

Penny is frightened to death of the huge Hybrid, who is tasked by the cult to impregnate her.
V'rex wants the little human, but he doesn't want to hurt her.

Now they must work together to escape what seems to be an inescapable situation. But can Penny trust the male she has been warned against? And can V'rex keep her safe from the fanatical cult and their "Glorious Leader?"

You'll have to read Stolen to find out...

This Brides of Kindred book felt different from the others because most of it takes place on an isolated planet that is home to an atmospheric dome wherein a cult lies. Penny is on a mission to recapture and destroy the Eye of Tengu when she's captured by small orange aliens that resemble Oompa Loompas. V'rex is also captured, and the two are paired together (because V'rex liked her) as Forever Mates.

The whole compound was so fucked up from inducing its citizens, known as "breeders", to have sex, and then before the fetus could reach its second semester, taking it out and putting it in a bath to make it a NeverBreeder, the Oompa Loompas, to recycling (aka killing) its members who were no longer useful or posed a threat. If a woman could no longer conceive, she'd be recycled. Almost everyone there was brainwashed. Now that I am writing this review the society reminds me of the utopian in The Giver , but this was way worse and more sinister.

This book was 599 pages long, but it never felt that way, and that's a testament to Evangeline Anderson's skill at weaving an entertaining story that keeps your attention. And that's why I'm still reading her books at #25. She is, without a doubt, the author I've read the most this year.

I would prefer the next heroine to not be plus size or from Florida, but I doubt it.

Stolen: Brides of the Kindred 25 - Evangeline Anderson

This continuation of the Kindred Brides Series is a blessedly long, intriquite full length novel that takes readers through several different adventures and events on this couples’ quest.
Several of the new Kindred stories involve women who now work for the mothership in a professional capacity, which is a great new development and interesting how the earth women can contribute to their society other than as mates.
Penelope (Penny) is an archeologist working for the mothership given the assignment to recover an ancient artifact that could destroy the world if awakened. It is evil and must not be awakened by any sun exposure. Penny has been sent together with a mated pair of kindred who unfortunately get frozen within some time bubble when they land on a dangerous outpost to fix repairs to the spaceship.
Penny escapes being frozen and finds herself looking for a way to contact the mother ship at a bar filled with questionable aliens. She attracts the eye of the one hybrid Kindred/ Kru’ell one , supposed pirate, she has been warned to stay away from “V’rex”.
Before she knows it she has been abducted and transferred to a strange planet ruled by a cult. There the leader “The Golden One” has drugged and developed a whole society built for childbearing and the dominance of the males.
V’rex also finds himself abducted and is disturbed to find the alluring female from the spaceport also kidnapped. Since neither he nor Penny have been hypnotized they join forces to escape.
Physical and mental attraction form a serious bond between the two although they do try to resist. Many crazy adventures including side-effects of the drugs, lead to an exciting , thrilling, sometimes 🔥🔥🔥escape from the cult.
V’rex insists he is going to help retrieve the ancient artifact with Penny, and from there we experience a more crazy new worlds and experiences.
The author hit it out of the ballpark with world and character building as well as weaving several storylines into the main storyline.
The story had me booked page one thru the end. It’s a roller coaster ride of excitement, suspense, danger, strange surprises, plenty of emotional feels, sizzling chemistry, it’s a long entertaining road to a well won HEA!

I've been waiting a year for another Kindred Tales book. I loved how long it was however, I felt some parts were repeated unnecessarily. Certain hang-ups were repeated for one main character through out the book and for the other character, they were kind of glossed over. The set up also seemed to imply a character had a certain type of traits and you'd expect it to last more than 5 min throughout the book, however it only pops up in certain events and otherwise the character was the complete opposite. On the other hand, the story sets up a realistic timeline, and couple growing moments. I didn't like the last trial set up for the fact that one character forgot the whole purpose of why it was started but it led to a HEA ending. The choices and regrets the characters have are what drives this story. I can't say that I agree with them as some had me screaming 'why?!?!?' but that just showed me how much of a good tale the author wove to get me interested. There were also a few humorous spots in the beginning that I wished carried through the book.

The Best One
If I could give this novel 6 or 7 stars, I would. I believe it is at the top of all of the Brides of the Kindred. Although Ms. Anderson warns us this one is longer than the others, I loved the extra length because we needed that to explore everything happening.
Penny, the heroine, is a beautiful and intelligent archeologist. But she feels less-than because her curvy plus size has not been accepted by those from Earth. V’rex is a hybrid, half Beast Kindred and half Kru’ell One, who is labeled a Space Pirate, even though his actions will eventually be explained. Although Penny has been warned to avoid the place he frequents and to stay away from him, through a series of misadventures, not only do these two end up together, but they are even in a completely different place. From there the two start on a Great Adventure, filled with dangerous and life-threatening situations.
This novel contains all those things we’ve come to expect from Evangeline Anderson. I found romance and angst all wrapped up in the incredible adventure that pervades throughout the entire story line. The Kindred Universe is greatly expanded, and we meet a new type of hybrid. The hero and heroine are so well developed that I hope we get to see Penny and V’rex in other Kindred novels.

Stolen

Omg! This story was so intense and exciting. V'Rex is a Hybrid Kindred and Penny is an archeologist employed by the Kindred Mother Ship to find an evil relic that must be found and destroyed before it awakens. But unfortunately Penny finds herself stranded at a dangerous spaceport and she sees the hybrid Kindred Commander Sylvan warned her to stay away from. Now they are kidnapped by little orange, bald men, along with other patrons and brought to a strange compound where unthinkable things are happening. This author's continued strange, wonderful, colorful, exotic imagination gives us the best books to read. Can't wait for the next one. Love it!!!

As always, Evangeline has hit the top of the scale with her kindred. I love this story and the characters. Being kidnapped by the orange “oompah loompahs” for “colonel sanders” was hilarious, but how they were treated was horrid. All the misery and pain that came along with everything they went through. But those Fox’ens know how to party and she gets her wish to be able to be with him forever. Now just to find out what happens next with the Cruel One

Stolen from the gorgeou Evangeline Anderson is the 25th book in the Brides of Kindred series. It is super length and super good. Im always in awe of how Ms Anderson can entertain her audience book after book and they never become boring or dull. Each story is magical and lets you immerse yourself into another world.
Stolen is about Penny, who is an archeologist tasked with a very special mission with two crew mates to find the Eye of Tengu. When they stop at Hell Station everything spirals down hill. Penny's ship mates become stuck in a slow time lock and she gets kidnapped by an insane fertility cult.
V'rex is a hybrid, half Beast Kindred and half Fru'ell One. He doesnt have a high opinion on anyone and has been labeled a Space Pirate. What he doesnt expect is to be kidnapped by a fertility cult and winding up being paired with a beautiful curvy woman. Together V'rex and Penny have to rely on each other to get through each day and escape.

The chemistry between the two characters was so hot.

Plenty of heart-racing moments made this story so exciting.

I loved this story!

We got new people and more than one new location, several new creatures and characters, and a fantastic-sexy as hell- love story. There was steam, danger, action, and violent sexual situations and implementations that are brief but intense and might cause some to have issue. Read with that in mind if you have any personal trauma that could be triggered.

As usual, Evangeline Anderson wins, with another great Brides of Kindred book!

This is a riveting read, which you will find totally riveting
Penny is a well-respected archaeologist who is working on behalf of the Kindred to discover the much-wanted Eye of Tengu an ancient stone that has very specific properties. She finds her self in near dire circumstance and is only able to call on one person V’rex ah hybrid that is half Beast Kindred and half Kru’ell One.
When penny first was seen by the plus sized curvy female he knows that he has to make her his unfortunately fate steps in and he is taken away after being drugged and kidnapped and discovers that Penny has also been kidnapped as well.
Penny is at first frightened by the huge Kindred warrior however as they are incarcerated together Penny discovers that he would never hurt her and if they are to survive this ordeal, they must plant together so that he can assure her safety.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

This one is longer than normal but it packed so much into it.
Penelope and V'rex, so opposite in every way but you know he's the one for her. Stuck in a foreign place, only to both find themselves kidnapped. As much as it's serious it's actually not, the author's humor in her descriptions had me chuckling through the story. Plenty of heart racing moments made this story so exciting. Their chemistry was hot, she had insecurities and who'd have thought the big bad guy would be so gentle and patient.
Love and angst in outer space, orange people, poisonous plants, furry people omg what more could you possibly want in a story. It was brilliant, I loved it.

I liked this story. It is definitely one of Ms. Anderson’s longer stories and subsequently, there was lots of time and context given to the plot, the setting and the history of the characters as well as to the relationship between V’Rex and Penny. They were in unity due to their shared circumstances and that became the foundation for their strong attraction and relationship.

As always this series doesn't disappoint. I also liked that this one is longer than the previous book. Plenty of action, intrigue, and of course steamy romance to keep you hooked from beginning to end. So looking forward to seeing what else in store for this series. I received a free copy via Booksprout as always my review are totally voluntary and no monetary compensation was received and the opinion I have expressed are my own.

Archeologist Penny starts out on a retrieval mission to recover an important artifact and ends up in a nightmarish situation after being kidnapped.
V'rex, a hybrid Kindred winds up in the same bizarre place and learns quickly what needs to happen to keep both of them safe which is escape as soon as possible.
Their story hits it out of the ballpark with emotionally intense scenarios and creative world building that has you living and feeling the highest highs and stomach clenching travesties as Penny and V'rex do.
Most highly recommend this excellent Brides of the Kindred book!

It has been awhile since I have read a kindred book from Evangeline Anderson’s series, but I recently recommended her books to a friend which had me revisiting the series. She has continued the series and this is book 25. Frankly, I forgot how much I really enjoy this universe with it’s diverse planets and life forms.

Evangeline is very creative and her imagined universe is the real reason to read this series (well, besides the sex…she really knows how to write a great if not unusual sex scene). From a Fox-like species who appreciate when their humanoid trading partners wear fur-like clothing to a species of non-breeding yellow oompah loompahs who have a leader that looks like colonel sanders of KFC fame. There are just so many interesting ideas in her series with the added bonus of a love story and some great sex. (Really 5 stars for the smut!)

If you had told me I would enjoy this series, I would have told you that was crazy…but for some reason it just works for me, probably in large part due to the humor, pacing and character development.

This is the story of archeologist Penelope who is sent on an important mission to retrieve an ancient artifact that could be activated to destroy the universe and V’rex a pirate who is a half Beast Kindred and half Kru’ell. Both end up kidnapped and taken to this planet where they are forced to be breeders. The two are unaffected by “the whispers” and team up to come up with a plan for escape.

This was great fun and just the kind of light entertainment that is sometimes called for.

Another wonderful book.

I bet when Penny set out on her adventure she did not expect to end up in the situation she ended up with or with the one Kindred she was supposed to stay away from.

I personally loved V’rex. He was so sexy and would do anything to keep Penny safe. I love the connection he had with her the moment he saw her.

This was a great story and had a lot of creativity in the story. I just love the imagination that the author brings to the stories. I love the battle that Penny is going through when it comes to V’rex but is scared of him.

This is a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It is one that has a little of everything you could want in a story and one I would highly recommend.

Thrilling!

I loved how this Kindred book felt darker and more intense than usual because of the kidnapping aspect. Sometimes like a thriller/horror instead of an adventure.

I absolutely adoreddddd the male lead V’rex. He was 100% my type — the way he walked Penny to work and gently told her “I have some business to take care of” before going full on Mob Boss in her defense.
The female lead Penny irritated me in the beginning, but I realized she was just battling with insecurities and I really enjoyed her character development.

As always, Evangeline Anderson never disappoints with creativity. There’s a crazy cult of Oompa Loompas, chicken daddy dreams, purple bread, flavor sticks, Foxen people, “Hula-rah”s, and so much more.

Better together

Such a fantastic addition to the Kindred series! I really fell in love with these characters. They suffered through so much and yet managed to find that connection with each other when they needed it. I especially enjoyed all of the different locations and layers to the story. The author kept it interesting throughout, and each time I thought I found my favorite part she brought something new to the table. This book is full of action and danger, it does have some triggers, but the emotional intensity is what really made the story. I truly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read all about the next couple that find their way to their HEA.

Excited to have another Brides of the Kindred book to continue the series. It was refreshing to have a new nemesis and world to contend with in this one. V'rex and Penelope are quite cute together when they let their guard down and trust each other. This book is quite long, longer than most in the series, and for that reason it did feel drawn out and wordy. I had a harder time getting through it despite enjoying the overall story. The book could have been condensed a little more to move the plot along faster. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I have yet to find a Kindred story I didn’t love. They are all so good. These Kindred males are just beyond amazing. This time we get ourselves a pirate and he does have that bad boy appeal. And then there is Penny. She couldn’t be any sweeter. The story does have some scenes that could be a trigger. But the whole story is one crazy adventure with one pretty hot Kindred that knows how to take care of his female. You won’t look at a KFC the same ever again.

Well if course you're going to end up where you shouldn't with the one person you need to stay away from. If you avoided them then it wouldn't be an awesome story! Penny and V'rex have out of this world chemistry and are put in a terrible, awkward, and tense situation. The only thing to do...survive the only way they can and figure out the rest later! I loved these characters and story!

Stolen: Book 25 in the brides of the kindred

Enjoyable, sci-fi, erotica of a female archaeologist, working for the kindred, attempting to find a evil artifact. In the process of going to the area where the artifact is located, she ends up at a station where she is kidnapped and sent to a cult. At the same time, the kindred hero, it’s also kidnapped and they end up together. Good story and a lot of action.

I really enjoyed this one. I loved how V'rex, who was so full of himself and so cynical about lasting relationships, was drawn to Penny. I loved how he came to question himself on what it is that pleases a woman and how he learned to do things "the old fashioned way." And I particularly loved that at the point when many authors might have ended the book, it went on in an exciting adventure that I'd actually forgotten about--Penny's primary mission for the Kindred. All in all, a great read.

Fantastic Book!

If you are up to some kidnapping by sexless orange aliens who do the bidding of a sex cult then this is the book to read. Another kindred warrior and a human woman are thrown together by the cult leader as well as many other aliens so that they may breed and babies taken from the women to increase his army. Many twists and turns in this story. You will have to read to find out what all happens.

Loved it...This book was so intense and wow the chemistry!!! V'Rex and Penny characters were so amazing. The connection they were able to establish after everything they had been through was so amazing. I am so amazed at how much more we keep getting of the Kindred world. Love it and hope Evangeline never runs out of muses for her kindred. Can't wait for the next story.
