I wanted to love this book much!
I really liked the shifter aspect to this novel. I would have loved to have learned more about Jeremiah's journey as the alpha of his pack and how he became who he was as the alpha.
I thought Shante was a great female protagonist who was opinionated, head strong and smart as well. I thought they were an overall good match as a couple.
But, it took me forever to get through this book. The pacing was a little off to me and some of the decisions the characters made about their relationship were annoying. I wish there was more of the suspense at the beginning that there was at the end.
I am going to continue on with the rest of the books in this series!

Loved It!
I really enjoyed this story. At first, I thought Jeremiah was a little too hard on Shante when they split but then I thought about it, some men would really be in there feelings just like he was. Zoe can really write spicy scenes really good and she did not disappoint in this book. Whew, can’t wait to read more from this author.

Yes alpha, Jeremiah, Professor Johnson
Not the typical student teacher romance!
Shante has been through somethings and had to be reminded along the way to never forget who she was and even in her lowest times don’t lose her voice.
Jeremiah was a made man. He had a rough upbringing and left to make it on his own. He made a good life for himself but his family won’t let him go.
All shifters dream of the moment when they meet their mate. When these two meet it’s flirty, fire, and highly inappropriate for the classroom. He thinks she can’t possibly be his mate with her loud and brash mouth and attitude. She is human and recognizes that there is an undeniable connection and attraction but she is clueless as to what it means.
They go in this emotional roller coaster of a situationship fulled with all of the up and down emotions and heart pumping moments. It’s chills, thrills and all the feels!

Shante Wilson wants to be more than the receptionist at a law firm so she decide to enter the Paralegal Studies Associates Degree program.Through a series of delay she ends up two minutes late for class and the sexy professor dismisses her from class and tells her to be on time for the next class. She argues and they end up arguing some more in the corridor then Professor Jeremiah B.Johnson, JD. picks her up over his shoulder and puts her out the door at the end of the corridor telling her he will see her at the next class. Jeremiah is shocked when his wolf get the scent of Shante and tells him she is their mate and needs to get her away from him so he can get his thoughts straight.

I really expected to enjoy this one. The blurb hit all the things I enjoy. What I didn't like is how Jeremiah was pushing Shante into a fated relationship almost immediately, but after their first relation trouble kept pushing her away. They'd have sex and he'd push her away almost immediately. Shante apologized for the things she said, took time to process her feelings, and dealt with Nana's death. There wasn't a lot of introduction or explanation about Jeremiah's shifter world. When they eventually work things out, Jeremiah does almost zero groveling. He was very stubborn about them not getting together and kept pushing her away out of stubbornness. There were also a few continuity issues in a few scenes throughout the book.

This is the kind of Alpha story I was looking for and could never find. It gave me action, love, sex, and great characters. The writing was great and I felt like I was in the story. The only thing was, I hated both of the main characters. They were perfectly written and by the end, I was hoping for nothing but good things for both of them, but Shante was way too disrespectful for me and although Jeremiah was an alpha, I thought he was way too indecisive for my tastes. I know Shante was young, so that might account for her behavior and I did not like that she wanted to chase him, but again, age. Jeremiah, I believe was written as some alphas would behave, but he was not the good person I wanted him to be. I would definitely read other books by this author and this book was not a bad read.

My favorite book in the series.
I have enjoyed every book in this series but this is my favorite. This book felt like a complete novel. If you made it through the series you know the formula. I liked seeing the other couples from previous books but you can read this book without having read the first two. Jeremiah is Mr. Perfection so he almost got on my nerves being so stubborn before he realized his mate doesn't have to be perfect. The miscommunication between Jeremiah and Shante could have easily been resolved but I'm glad it wasn't, it gave them time to communicate and learn to appreciate each other and that was missing in previous books.

"Yes Alpha!" Seriously? I didn't mind that he has a dominant personality but not to that extent where others have no opinion or can't express it ornhad to do what he says without challenge! More than half the book was spent with her begging him to be her mate. It didn't feel like a romance but more like I am the master and you do my bidding when I feel to let you. If mates take care and love each other till the end, their story didn't live up to that at all. This book was disappointing. It made black men look like tyrannts!

I have had the good fortune of reading all of your books, and I must say this is your best book yet by all standards! I was unable to put my kindle down until I read the very last word. The story line was incredibly captivating with its numerous unexpected twists and turns. Reading this book elicited vulnerability, frustration, fear, anger, excitement ........ This was a bit difficult for me to get into. It has a slow start but then picks up and once it does well good luck in putting your reading device down! I enjoyed the interactions between Jeremiah and Shante. I felt that it took a bit longer for him to let go of his emotions but that Shante wore him down. It was a good story and I would recommend it to my friends.

This was a great read and I enjoyed reading Jeremiah and Shante's story they were an amazing couple and I loved their story. The story held my attention and I kept reading faster to see what happened next. It's a paranormal romance with a strong alpha male and the curvy woman he loves, I can't wait to read more.

This very well written book in the Alpha Romance Series is an interesting story about Alpha Wolf Shifters. The characters are very well constructed and the have depth and chemistry. There are many twists and turns to this story with action and adventure. This has a great plot and I enjoyed it very much. What a wonderful story

I love it when I can read supernatural or sci-fi with AA lead characters. I still get the sexy, swag of a beautiful Black male character, but with a storyline not normally written with us in mind. I don't even see us as secondary characters or less most times when I want to indulge in a bit of shifter lust. This was a good, sexy, fun story full of characters I can't wait to read more about. I will definitely see what else Zoe Ray has for me to dive into.

I thought I would love this story BUT Jeremiah is too controlling & Shante is pretty stupid to follow directions! This story goes on & on & on for chapters where she rejected him, mths passed & she realized he made a mistake & she apologize BUT he was not hearing it.
According to the story they are mates but he can reject her like nothing is happening. Such a waste of story!

Friendship Fun
It was good to read about the previous characters and I loved that the ladies become friends. The back and forth before they decided to really be together could have been cut in half. It annoyed me how they broke up in the first place. If Jeremiah was that sure, why would he let a tantrum come between them even months later? The story was still enjoyable. The love scenes were super hot and the guys and girls forming their own mate support groups was so cute.

Real world and fantasy blended perfectly!

Yes Professor
Jeremiah was so straight edged he needed someone that liked to color outside the lines in his life. Shante had a lot going on but once she figured out herself she was on point. I really thought we were going to get a double fated mate situation with the intro of Strike. I was waiting.. This was a good read and kept in line with the Alpha Boss series.

The author gave us such a strong alpha male willing to do anything for his woman. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline flows well and is engaging.

It was okay but she’s written better.
This was a pretty good book but it wasn’t as exciting nor action filled as her other books. Maybe because I read it out of order. It helps to read them in order because there are events that happen that will give away the story if not.

One way or another she plans to win!
I loved reading this book. The hot n cold actions of the characters was engaging. Both characters made you want to slap and encourage them. But it was an engaging read.

Yes the Professor was an onion cause he had a whole lot of layers to him that did surprise me cause from his description you would think of more Carlton Banks not a sexy Alpha. Great read as always

I need a professor Johnson! He was so hurt and Shante was downright confused but I’m so glad they got it together and The girls helped her realize her worth. Poor Spike, he was misguided!
