As part of the NSW fire & rescue service, Owen funnels every ounce of his passion into his job. Every time he and his team are faced with a deadly and dangerous inferno, he’s determined to make sure that every single one of his friends make it out alive.
All that’s ever mattered to this broad-shouldered, blue-eyed Aussie firefighter is his job... though he’s always secretly longed for more.
Then, out of nowhere, Owen’s dream girl falls right into his arms.
Holly is a buxom beauty who checks every box Owen didn't even know she had – but she turns him down right away... even though she yearns for Owen as deeply as Owen yearns for her.
New in town, Holly is desperately trying to find her footing after being abandoned by her ex and left with their two-year-old son. The last thing she expected was for sparks to fly with a gorgeous fireman.
Holly isn’t sure whether or not she’s ready for romance, but she’s about to find out that once the fire of love starts burning, it’s impossible to extinguish those flames. Owen is the first book in the Grafton Fire & Rescue Series , but each of these sweet but sizzling Aussie firefighter romances can be read and enjoyed all on their own. With no cliffhangers or cheating, expect a flaming hot love story featuring rugged firefighters and their curvy heroines finding happily ever after!
Owen spots Finn racing into a burning small business building and shouts at him, knowing he can’t hear him over the chaos. Apparently the owner said he didn’t have time to rescue his pet turtle who was still in the building, so Finn raced inside and came out of the flames and crumbling structure with a small turtle in his palm. But Owen was unhappy at the newbie firefighter unnecessarily risking his life for a turtle. He’s high on the adrenaline rush, but he needs to realize the importance of self-discipline or he could be injured or killed on the job.
Owen spots a young woman walking down the street, head turned to look at the fire as she walks. Two more steps, and she will walk in front the high-pressure firehose, likely getting injured by the intense directed spray of the water! He calls out but she doesn’t hear him over the surrounding noise. He runs full speed and snatches her by the waist as they both fall to the ground with the inertia. Even then, Holly noticed that his arms around her were keeping her safe during their fall. He helps her up and asks if she is okay but, when she continues to stare at him and not answer, he removes his helmet, moves closer and touches her shoulder. She’s just in shock at how handsome he is and impressed with his deep concern for a stranger. Embarrassed, she starts mumbling about a new job, new to the town, confused by the bus schedule, too busy to write more of her novel . . . and he laughs and offers her a tour of Grafton! But she has a two-year-old son to think of, especially after her ex walked out on them, so she can’t get involved with this man.
Owen has been thinking about Holly all week, wondering about the guy she said who already had her heart. As he walked toward his car, he noticed a woman digging through her purse as she walked blindly toward a busy cross-street! He pulls her back as a car races past, once again rescuing Holly! Keeping gentle hold of her arm, he walks her to a bench. He feels very protective of her, wants to know what is wrong and how he can help. He also says her guy should be taking better care of her! When he looked confused as she said SHE was taking care of Max, she explained. So he asked again to let him take her and Max on a tour of the town, show them where things are, where to eat. No strings or expectations. He just wants to be a friend. But on the day they agreed to meet, as he was ready to walk out the door in the next few minutes, the alarm rang. Since he was still “on the clock”, he chose to go out on the truck, sure than Holly would understand.
On the way to the scene, he found out a bus had crashed and was on fire. He felt a chill – were Holly and Max on that bus? He, Finn, and Leo knew they could not wait with people still trapped. The three of them moved what was blocking the people, but Owen felt it was dangerous to take them back through the burning bus. So he got to the emergency door and forced it open, having the guys hand the passengers to him. He spotted a woman trapped in a seat with a child and he went back in to free them. It was Holly and Max, and she noted that he had saved her once more. Telling her he would always save her, he knew these two were his world now. He just has to convince Holly. Can she trust a man after her recent divorce and when she has a son to think about first? Is Owen ready to fight for his new family and a HEA for the three of them?

Owen, Grafton Fire & Rescue, Volume 1 is the first of the new series by Eva Foxx. It is a quick read romance featuring a single mom, her young son and a hot firefighter in Grafton, New Zealand.
Owen and Holly are destined for each other. Being her knight in shining armor, Owen steps in more than once to save Holly, with each rescue a little more dramatic than before.
Being a short read, we don't get a lot of background on Owen. The story is sweet as is but getting the taste of Owen makes you want to know more about him. Holly's two year old son is an adorable character. Through Max, we see a truly endearing side of Owen.
This story also introduces us to several other firemen on the truck with Owen. They seem like a nice, interesting group of guys that will feature in future stories. If you are looking for a light evening read with a happily ever after, Owen by Eva Foxx is a great choice.
Saving lives is what Owen does. He is a firefighter. He is always paying attention like his fellow brothers when in the heat of it all. ( no pun intended ). So it is safe to say that when you see someone who was walking down the street and not paying attention about to trip over the fire hoses from the fire he should stop them from breaking something. So that’s what he does. This is where Holly comes in the scene. She is so discombobulated with what’s going on in her life that she’s not paying attention. She seems to be a couple sandwiches short of a picnic basket. Sometimes life can do that to you. But when he keeps in countering her in the most bizarre life-saving situations there’s a pattern. He’s already smitten with her from the first encounter but if this continues will she be the only one who needs saving? No cliffhanger

Owen is the first book in Eva Foxx's Grafton Fire & Rescue series and has a wonderful protective firefighter, prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that the woman of his dreams knows her value and importance in his life. Holly is a damaged soul betrayed by the person she thought would love her for life, but she is determined to give her precious son the life her deserves, and moving to Grafton is the first step in that direction.
Holly never expected to literally fall into the arms of a strong, sexy firefighter and have her world change I ways that could only be described as a fantasy. Owen and Holly make a wonderful couple and the inclusion of a cute and vibrant 2 year old, only makes this story so much more wholesome.

This is the 1st book by Eva Foxx that I have read, but it certainly won't be the last! Ms. Foxx has a way of drawing her readers into her books from the 1st page till the last with her fantastic storytelling and world building, and that's not easy with a short story. Her characters are so delightful that you can't help cheer for their happily after. Owen and Holly's story is one of instalove and learning to let someone else in your heart. This story has everything that you could want; comedy, action, drama and of course hot romance. I absolutely loved this delightful gem of a book and I can't wait to read more stories of the Grafton Fire & Rescue series!

This is the first book by Eva Foxx that I've read, but it sure won't be my last. I love how Owen and Holly meet, and keep meeting. With each rescue, Owen grows more fascinated by Molly. He's brave, strong, caring, and HOT! Molly has just moved to Grafton, hoping that being close to her only family (a cousin) will be good for her young son. She's sweet, loving, hardworking, and puts her son before anything else. Understandably hesitant, Owen's continuing heroics win not only her heart, but her son's as well. Sweet and sexy, this fast read is sure to bring a smile to your face. Happy Reading!!

I haven’t read anything by Eva Fox before, but the synopsis of the book pulled me in. I opened the book to learn it was 35 pages and I was apprehensive. Despite the number of pages, I gave it a go. This book just did not deliver it for me. I felt the writing style was stilted and unbelievable. It was so short that everything felt rushed and underdeveloped. This story had potential if it was longer and the author developed the story more. The insta love between the characters was unbelievable and just didn’t work.

Holly just moved to town and with a lot on her mind, so much she did not see the fire hose, or that she was about to walk into traffic. Good thing Owen was there for her. Owen is a fireman who wants to find the one for keeps. When he saves her, she turns him down. This is a sweet and romantic story with a bit of mystery and danger, but a hole lot of love.

Holly and her son moved near her cousin after her ex leaving them. Owen saved her 3x first from walking into the spray of a firehouse, second from walking into traffic and then when the bus she was on had an accident and caught on fire. They fell in love and Owen loved her son too. Everything worked out great for them! Love the book! Now have to wait on the next book!
A great start to this new series Grafton Fire & Rescue. This is the entertaining read of Owen a firefighter and Holly a single mom. This is their journey to their happily ever after. The story was well written, the characters are engaging and have great chemistry. Looking forward to read the next book in this series.
Seems Owen keeps rescuing Holly and after fate keeps throwing them together, it was hard for her not to give in. I love single mom romances and she was the sweetest with her boy that I fell in love with them instantly. The attraction and chemistry is amazing and I loved how Owen became this protective alpha around them.
Holly has to be one of the most luckiest unlucky person ever to have hunky fireman Owen come to her rescue. This was a quick read but packed full of cuteness from little Max, of fulfillment of dreams and of HEA for this little family!

Owen is a dedicated firefighter and certified hero. He spots distracted Holly at a fire and he immediately runs to save her. They feel an instant attraction but she’s a single mom who’s protective of her son Max. It’s third time a charm when Owen bravely saves the two and insists on staying with them…forever. Touching HEA story and I especially loved the epilogue.
