An amazing poetry collecting about being in love and being in a long distance relationship. Amanda had me craving that giddy feeling of having a crush and falling in love. The way she described being in love and loving someone was beautiful. And I love how she weaved the title and the 'sunshine' feels into her poems and that last one was amazing.
This book is a beautiful collection of love poems. Every writer struggles to weave words together trying to define the impossible - love. Amanda does such a beautiful job of finding the right words every time, of painting the right picture so you can really feel what she feels. Each poem is hint of happiness that you can't help but find yourself smiling along with. I loved every page of this poetry collection, and I would definitely recommend this book!
I absolutely adore Amanda‘s debut poetry book. This book is uplifting and beautiful. I love that the entire book is based on romance and love. If you want to read positive poetry, this is the book for you! The theme of “sunshine yellow” is woven beautifully throughout the entire book. Highly recommend!
“is there some place where tears don’t grow on trees?”
as my favorite color is yellow, i was very excited to read this book. the poems in this book are so beautiful. the poems in their whole are beautiful, but so are the seperate sentences within those poems. this was such an honest poetry collection and i loved it.
A raw and beautiful collection of love poems. I just love how the theme “sunshine yellow” was consistent throughout almost all her poems. Amanda’s choices of words are amazing which got me falling in love with love. the last poem was a touching and sweet one. Certainly a memorable read.
Come for the love poems, stay for the love poems! This book is unapologetically positive, unleashing the reader into a world where love is beautiful, joyful and everlasting! Such a fun and welcoming debut collection from this talented poet!
I really enjoyed this book. I liked how she put together her love for her partner as a color, and I feel like that color really represents the love she has for them. Very cute book.

I haven’t read any poems in a while and I discovered it while browsing and I’m so happy that I picked it up because it was beautiful. The poems are very romantic and emotional and just stunning. Often elements like the ocean are incorporated and that made them even more gorgeous. I also highlighted a lot in it and can only highly recommend it.
I adored this book. While I was reading it all I could think about was the love I have for my partner in life. I actually am going to buy it for him for a gift. He likes poetry as well. I think the book has a beautiful way of putting emotions into words. It’s often hard sometimes to make sense of our emotions and find the words to express them. I read this book so quick and I’ll continue to reread it every so often. I think the author did an amazing job at expressing love in a different ways opening the mind to see it all differently, all around you.
