Concluding the ground breaking Nordic noir thriller trilogy set in 2068.
Facing near impossible odds, Nero and his companions are forced to act outside the law. To protect the innocent, they will risk everything as they battle to defeat the ruthless and shadowy figures conspiring to take control of the city.
The Eldísvík trilogy is riveting, rollercoaster ride. A story of survival, loyalty, betrayal and love that will appeal to fans of Jo Nesbo, Peter Hoeg and Lilja Sigurdardottir.

Within Each Other's Shadow concludes the Eldisvik trilogy. It keeps up the pace and tension of the earlier books and hones in finally on corruption and criminality at the very pinnacle of this dystopian society. Its small band of honest cops is well drawn, led by the all too humanly fallible Nero, and assisted by the dissolute but determined young arts student Bruno. One of the major issues it confronts is how we stay uncorrupted when fighting corruption. Some of the society's guardians slip, understandably, into a righteous murderous revenge when confronted with the evil at its core. Nero , Bruno and their colleagues shine out as a beacon of hope between the rocks of these two extremes. A very good read indeed.
While each book is good reading the entire trilogy at one time is way better. Great characters and plot. It’s a long read for all 3 and often hard to keep track but well worth the effort. I look forward to her next book.
Once again I was blown away by the ins and outs of the plot that carried through the trilogy and how cleverly Petrie wove sci-fi and mystery - not an easy thing to do. As you can see from the "read" dates, I couldn't put the book down.
A terrific end to this highly original future world thriller series. The pace remained fast, the story twisty and I didn’t see the end coming. Some great characters I will miss. A really enjoyable read I thoroughly recommend.
Brilliant ending to a fast paced, gripping series. Believable, realistic characters, interesting setting, strong interweaving plot lines and well written. I loved every moment.
