"If readers are looking for an author who is the perfect mix of Debbie Macomber and Nora Roberts, Lilly Mirren is it." - InD'tale Magazine
I enjoy the blend of continuing stories of returning characters and the introduction of new ones. We were introduced to Ben in book 3 which concentrated on his new relationship with his birth parents. Now the focus changes to romance with Vicky, showing us a completely different side of him. I really like the way the author uses the same character to explore different issues, showing how they mature over time. Other characters make a reappearance in a more minor role and some big changes are afoot for several. I was pleased Ben’s adoptive parents were brought into the story although I never imagined the plot twist that would bring them to the Cove! Vicky’s sister is an interesting character and it was quite a shock for Vicky to learn the reason for her changes in behaviour. And I love how Cindy’s life has turned around, especially in comparison to her ex-husband. I was up most of the night reading because I just had to read one more chapter…
The 4th book in this delightful series set in Emerald Cove is about some of the characters introduced in earlier books.
Ben Silver, newly found Son of Diana, whom she put up for adoption when he was born, has a life changing moment, he realises he needs someone in his life, to share it with.
Vicky, the town vet looks after the towns animals, but she needs looking after herself.
Cindy Flanagan has her youngest daughter, Adele, home at last, but something is troubling her, can Cindy help her. Cindy has sold her house, found another but is she ready for the next step?
Adele has a few boyfriend issues; while living back in the Cove, she realises what she must do, but to give up everything she's worked for, can she do it?
A wonderful series about a beachside town in Australia , ideal for fans of Debbie Macomber. Good, clean, family based stories. I can't wait for the next book to be released.
This time the story concentrates on Ben and Vicky, although the characters from the previous three books in the series also appear and continue to develop. For me one of the joys of a series is that the storyline can be kept fresh by the emphasis of new and different characters and that is certainly the case here. Again the viewpoint flicks from one character to the next, although clearly signposted, but this enables their individual storylines to continue. The location again sounds idyllic, although I might be a bit nervous about swimming in the sea, and the different storylines are fresh and kept me hooked. With the introduction of new characters there is still opportunities for the series to continue and grow and I'm certainly looking forward to the next one. I received an advance copy of this book from the author, however this did not influence my review of the book the book.
This author is doing an outstanding job of writing, story-telling, and, bringing us into her Emerald Cove lives. I loved this book! So many lives have changed over the past few months within Emerald Cove and when I saw The End, I smiled, felt comfort and noticed there is going to be Book 5 about Christmas. I've loved the strength of the women in these stories: Diana, Cindy, Sarah, Vicky, Meg, Rebecca and even Adele. Each has their story to tell and I've loved visiting the cafe, shopping at the little store, going into the Bed and Breakfast, knowing the Doctor and Veterinarian, and, house-shopping as families expanded, changed and grew. It's been a wild adventure in Emerald Cove and I've loved every moment of these books. I'm anxious to see what Ms. Mirren has waiting for us for Christmas.
I loved this next book in the Emerald Cove series! It was a story full of drama, relationships, and challenges, and Ms. Mirren tells it so well! I enjoyed how old characters from previous books are interwoven and updated with newbies. Personalities at times clash, relationships grow, families resolve some issues. As Ms. Mirren writes about these new beginnings, relationships, marriages, etc. (including a shark attack!), I feel like I've become a part of the community. The characters are so well developed and continue to evolve. It was hard to put the book down, wanting to see what happens next! I received a complimentary ARC of this book and have given my honest opinion in this review.
This is a continuation of the Emerald Cove series. This is mainly the story of Vicky and Ben, even though many of the characters from the previous books are again present. Vicky and Ben start a friendship, both thinking that their age difference is to great, that gradually evolves into a romance. This series is full of good feelings. There is drama along with romance. The women that are in this series are strong and good friends to each other. I am looking forward to the Christmas book. I received a complimentary ARC of this book and have given my honest opinion in this review.
This is the fourth book in the Emerald Cove Series, a beautiful Small Town Romance.. I love this series of intertwined characters, with an ongoing plot, filled with drama, and twists and turns. The characters are wonderful. I feel like I know them personally. The storyline is beautifully written. Coralie Bywater did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to An Emerald Cove Christmas, the next book in the Series.
I’ve waited for the the next book in the series as it’s written like a saga with the strand of the same characters following through each one. The relationships are explored both in love triangles but also the familial ones. I like the links. I can’t comment on the reality of the setting as it’s alien to me but as I live at the beach in U.K. there is familiarity in the lifestyle
This book was so good. It's full of emotions, family drama and romance. Once you start reading it you can't stop. I love this series and look forward to the next book. I received a complimentary copy and all opinions expressed are my own.
