It didn't take Rome too long to grasp this new development, which I liked since I'm not a fan of men who deny their child. Harley was a great mom, and you could just tell she dotes on sweet, Calista. It's the first baby in this tight knit family clan, so you just know that girl is always going to be taken care of and adored.
Overall, it wasn't all roses though for them, though, but eventually they figure it out, of course. I did not enjoy it as much as others in the series, but still liked it well enough.

All Bailey's are heavily involved in each book, so you might as well start at the beginning.
Narration notes:
They both did a fabulous job. I do wish there were different narrators for each book in the series, since I was used to these voices for the last book. It seems like they'll narrate the whole series so I'd better get used to it.

--> That's how excited I was about this book! It drove me crazy not knowing who the baby's daddy was. Finally, the secret's been lifted!

Besides Savannah’s story, this one was the most anticipated book in this series for me, especially after how book #2 ended. I was so excited and had high expectations with a storyline like that, because there were so many possibilities and you just never knew on which path it would lead you.
'This is like a wild fucking pitch I didn't see coming that hits me right in the helmet.'
The story had a fast pace, was quick and easy to read and very enjoyable. As always, I loved the Bailey family and how fun they were. I can’t say that I got to know much about Harley but she seemed like a nice woman who lived her life without much drama as she had enough of that while growing up. Calista was a sweet kid and I liked how everyone seemed to be smitten with her.
The beginning of the story was great with Harley coming into this small gossiping town and looking for her baby’s daddy. It was a great start but not long after, when she was still somewhat of a stranger after only a couple of days in Lake Starlight, the time jumping forward and rushing the story along kept me from connecting with the characters. It took away some great things from the story because I would have liked to see more of the first moments between the father and his child as well as with Harley. I also expected him to struggle a bit with his new role in life and the responsibility for another human being, having to learn his way with a baby. But sadly this was all taken away and showed hardly any development but jumped right into the almost perfect family. I also didn’t like Harley’s rash decisions without further thoughts.
Maybe my high expectations of this book and its unused potential were the reasons why I was slightly disappointed.
Don’t get me wrong, it was still a very well written story with a few funny moments in true Piper Rayne fashion (absolutely loved the kitchen scene!) and some hot sequences, but I guess I expected a bit more depth all things considered. It also wasn’t as memorable of a story as other’s in this series were. Nonetheless, I’m looking forward to the next book, especially because it will be about one of my favorite members of the Bailey clan.

Birth of a Baby Daddy was the third book in the Bailey’s series by the authors Piper Rayne. They are my new favorite authors because they keep me giggling and this experience was no different.
The book started exactly where the previous book left off with the Bailey family celebrating Rome’s new restaurant and a female stranger crashing the party wanting to know which twin, Denver or Rome, was her baby daddy.
No spoilers on which twin was the star of this show, so I can’t elaborate, but let’s just say I loved him. His progression was awesome. The authors also unpacked both Harley and “baby daddy’s” baggage as a central part of the storyline. At times it was emotional and frustrating but always funny. And as expected, the Bailey clan bantering and antics were front and center.
All in all, it was a quick, sexy, funny and lighthearted read. It was perfect for a simple, “feel good” reading mood. Finally Liam and Savannah are up next in Falling For My Brother’s Best Friend. Until then, we’re graced with a short novella, Operation Bailey Wedding!

Harley hätte den Vater ihrer Tochter Calista nicht gesucht, wenn es nicht unbedingt nötig gewesen wäre. Als Kind wurde sie von Pflegefamilie zu Pflegefamilie gereicht und sehnt sich nach einer Familie, aber mit dem Vater Tochter möchte sie nicht unbedingt zu tun haben. Sie glaubt, Rome hätte sicher kein Interesse an der Konsequenz eines One Night Stands - aber Rome ist ein Familienmensch! Zwar erschreckt er sich, aber er verliebt sich auf den ersten Blick in seine Tochter und möchte ein Teil ihres Lebens sein. Er sieht sich als Versager der Familie, aber gerade geht es in seinem Leben aufwärts und er ist dabei, wirklich erwachsen zu werden.
Die Geschichte hat mir wirklich gut gefallen und war so ziemlich das, was ich erwartet hätte. Ich liebe Liebesromane, in denen die Protagonisten Kinder haben und sich der Verantwortung stellen müssen und Calista hat mir hier sehr gut gefallen. Rome hat sich fantastisch entwickelt, er gibt sich viel Mühe mit Calista und möchte auch gut mit Harley auskommen, damit alles gut läuft. Dazu kommt dann noch die Anziehung zwischen ihnen. Harley hingegen hat Angst, wieder verlassen zu werden und kann kaum jemanden vertrauen. Aber ihr gefällt auch die große, liebevolle Familie und sie wünscht sich für ihre Tochter, dass sie ein schönes Leben hat. Die beiden konnten mich wirklich davon überzeugen, dass sie sich wie Eltern fühlen und dass ihr Kind für sie an erster Stelle steht.
Die große Bailey-Familie und besonders Großmutter Dori fand ich wieder sehr aufdringlich, sie haben alle starke Persönlichkeiten und stehlen den Protagonisten schnell die Show. Aber damit hatte ich gerechnet, deswegen hat es mich auch nicht so sehr gestört. Ich fand die Geschichte sonst aber sehr unterhaltsam und musste manchmal schon lachen, und ich fand sie auch einfach schön. Harley und Rome sind ein tolles Paar und haben eine süße Tochter. Ein bisschen Kitsch hier, ein bisschen Drama da und die vielen Familienmitglieder haben mich gestört, aber das hat den Lesespaß auch nicht eingeschränkt!
Fazit
"Twist of a Love Affair" hat mich bis auf wenige Kleinigkeiten wirklich von sich überzeugen können. Die Protagonisten sind sympathisch, ihre Liebesgeschichte ist süß, ihre Charakterentwicklung ist gelungen und nachvollziehbar und zusammen mit einer kräftigen Prise Humor ergibt es ein wirklich unterhaltsames Buch, das mir sehr gut gefallen hat!

Okay, so here's the deal this is going to be a super short review because there is NO WAY I am blowing the secret on which twin, Denver or Rome, is the Baby Daddy but I will say I was right in who I thought it was! ;)
Harley had a one-night-stand and the results were a beautiful baby girl named Calista. Being brought up in foster care and not knowing her own medical background has driven Harley to find Calista's father which brings her to Alaska. If you read Advice from a Jilted Bride, and I hope you did because it was really good, you know we were left with a cliff hanger where Harley walks into Rome's new restaurant where she meets not one but two guys that look like the one she slept with, so who is the Baby Daddy, Denver or Rome?
This was a great addition to the series, it had a lot of steamy moments and moments that will make you fall for the Hero with the way he easily falls into his roll as Calista's father. The Baileys all rally around and make Harley and Calista feel welcomed and it's easy to fall in love with them all. This was such an enjoyable read I would recommend reading the series in order but this can be read as a standalone if you chose to do so. Happy Reading!!!

This is not my first read by this author & I have been waiting for this book finally!
First of I'd like to say that I am Miranda through and through!! haha she is the bomb!! Also that this was not what I expected to be honest. It was so much more, you get to revisit the previous characters, same banter and fun except now there is a baby girl involved that is the sweetest thing ever.
When Harley decided to stay for that one week so the hero can get to know his daughter, it was so brave of her considering what awaits her back home and her life. Will they be able to co-manage during this time? They do and SO MUCH MORE. It kind of fast paces from there, there will be a lot of laughter, fun, the passion in undeniable but the hero to me (yes i know what age he is and what he is) but he is very easy going and party fun like to me. I was slightly turned off (I'm sorry if I like older hero's and more man's man alpha) but he was enough for me for this story. I wont lie and say there weren't moment I didn't want to junk punch him! Grrrr....
All in all, I enjoyed the story and fit in very well from the previous book. It's a surprise in the beginning read slow and pay attention and you'll love all the characters. I am rating this book a 4.5 & would recommend it!!

Hmmm how do you review a book when one of the MCs is a secret? When all you want to do is gush about him, it makes it even harder. If you're reading this in series order then you know one of the twins just became an unexpected baby daddy. If your not, don’t worry this could be read as a stand alone you just missed the cliffhanger of OMG who’s the baby daddy from the last book.
And since that little bomb was dropped I have been dying to find out whether it was Denver or Rome and how the Bailey clan was going to react. And I have to say it was definitely in line with the rest of the series.
There were a lot of laughs, some much expected meddling a few steamy scenes and a whole lot of love. And of course an adorable baby girl for every one to dote on.
I really enjoyed this book and the series as a whole has been so much fun. I love it. Hopefully next up is Savannah and Liam, although I am seriously looking forward to seeing the other twin bite the dust. Oh who am I kidding I am happy no matter which Bailey we get next.

and I will continue to state it until it becomes an un-truth! Their imagination holds no bounds and quite frankly, currently in my life, they are the perfect escape!!
THIS FAMILY IS JUST OUTSTANDING! You’re not just going to fall in love with the individual journeys in this series, you will continue to read and read because THIS.FAMILY! You just have to read about them. You must have this joy in your life. Every single page just screams fun!!
Obviously, there is a big question in this journey that I am sure every single person who read Advice From a Jilted Bride wants to know and wants to know it NOW but you’re gonna have to wait. READ THIS BOOK! Lol

They did it again! I love this series and I adore the authors!
I love a good Surprise pregnancy/one-night stand book and this is for sure going up there with some of my favorites in this trope.
This book is filled with humor, love, a loud family who don't know when to mind their own business, a Surprise pregnancy, a little drama and a lot of fun. What more can you ask of a good book?
This is a Bailey's books so of course it is good they don't even have to have a love story in the book as long as the family is in there I am game.
As to not make any spoilers I will do a review with no names and I will call them the Hero and Heroine.
I loved the heroine from the start of the book. This woman is a fighter, she has a huge heart and all her love goes to her daughter. She is extremely protective of her daughter and is a total mama bear. But as she slowly starts to trust the Hero and the other people in town she starts to grow, you can see her bloom and I only end up loving her, even more, she deserves all the loves she can get.
What do you do when you just got told you have a daughter and you can't remember her mom? Well, our Hero started drinking! But when he got over the chock (and got sober) he finally meets his daughter and her mom. It isn't as easy to get close to them as he thought but when he makes a deal with the Heroine for her to stay a little so he can get to know his daughter he is over the moon. But what does he do when he starts wanting to get to know her mom too. How does he convince them to stay?
The hero is amazing, I adore him. He is such a fun, free person and everyone loves him. When he finally loves something or someone he loves with all he has and it is so beautiful. I loved to see him with his daughter and the Heroine. Plus it doesn't hurt that this many is insanely hot and is really dirty in the good kinda way if you know what I mean. The chemistry in this book is crazy wild.
So are you looking for a fun, easy read with some crazy people, a huge of family, some sexy time and so much more this is your book.

I love a good Surprise pregnancy/one-night stand book and this is for sure going up there with some of my favorites in this trope.
This book is filled with humor, love, a loud family who don't know when to mind their own business, a Surprise pregnancy, a little drama and a lot of fun. What more can you ask of a good book?
This is a Bailey's books so of course it is good they don't even have to have a love story in the book as long as the family is in there I am game.
As to not make any spoilers I will do a review with no names and I will call them the Hero and Heroine.
I loved the heroine from the start of the book. This woman is a fighter, she has a huge heart and all her love goes to her daughter. She is extremely protective of her daughter and is a total mama bear. But as she slowly starts to trust the Hero and the other people in town she starts to grow, you can see her bloom and I only end up loving her, even more, she deserves all the loves she can get.
What do you do when you just got told you have a daughter and you can't remember her mom? Well, our Hero started drinking! But when he got over the chock (and got sober) he finally meets his daughter and her mom. It isn't as easy to get close to them as he thought but when he makes a deal with the Heroine for her to stay a little so he can get to know his daughter he is over the moon. But what does he do when he starts wanting to get to know her mom too. How does he convince them to stay?
The hero is amazing, I adore him. He is such a fun, free person and everyone loves him. When he finally loves something or someone he loves with all he has and it is so beautiful. I loved to see him with his daughter and the Heroine. Plus it doesn't hurt that this many is insanely hot and is really dirty in the good kinda way if you know what I mean. The chemistry in this book is crazy wild.
So are you looking for a fun, easy read with some crazy people, a huge of family, some sexy time and so much more this is your book.

LAWD HAVE MERCY.... this book was EVERYTHING!!! I'm so head over heels in love with the Bailey's and with each book released it gets harder and harder to pick a favorite and really you can't because each one is that damn good!
In true Piper Rayne fashion we get a read that is filled with witty banter, family shenanigans and undeniable chemistry. Harley is a beautiful, sassy, tell-it-like-it-is momma who only has her adorable baby's interest at heart. Baby daddy is the typical bachelor and one who doesn't realize his drunken one night stand is about to turn his life upside down. The instant bond between father and daughter will have you swooning so hard for baby daddy and Calista will have you so captivated you'll fly through page after page wanting so much more of this story!
This book will leave you with all the FEELS and of course a jaw-dropping moment when you find out whose the baby daddy! This is one Bailey book you won't want to miss!

Es haben sich nur wie ein paar Minuten statt Stunden angefühlt die ich mit diesem Buch verbracht habe.
Auch den dritten Teil habe ich als Hörbuch gehört und mich in Rhome, Harley und Calista verliebt!
Ich liebe alle Bücher in denen Kinder vorkommen und wenn der Vater auch noch Rhome Bailey ist kann man diese Geschichte nur lieben!
Again war da dieses Kleinstadtfeeling, die unterstützende Großfamilie und einfach eine perfekte Portion Drama und Humor, weshalb man sich in der Reihe nur wohl fühlen kann🤍
Jetzt muss ich aber auf den vierten Teil warten was mir gar nicht in den Kram passt!🥺

Wie ihr wisst liebe ich die Baileys bzw mochte ich die ersten zwei Bände gerne. Doch Band 3 hat mich nochmal überrascht und ich habe mich noch mehr in diese Familie verliebt, wenn das möglich ist. Ich kam beim lesen immer schnell voran und habe wieder oft gelacht, da diese Bücher so humorvoll sind und daher freue ich mich total, dass Band Band 4 und 5 erscheinen wird. Ich kann es euch nur empfehlen.

One of my favorite authors is Piper Rayne and so when she releases a new one - it jumps to the top of my reading list, and I devour it within one sitting. The Baileys at the moment happens to be one of my favorite bookish families. I want to be a Bailey. Birth of a Baby Daddy is one of the twin's story as a woman rocks up carrying a little girl, and she doesn't have a name but a face. The thing is that there is two of them, and now they have to pinpoint nine months earlier to see which bachelor is the little girl's father. While this is happening, the mother Harley is here with her daughter Carlista to get a blood test, and medical records as her little girl are ill. That's all she wants as growing up in foster care, and without a stable family, she doesn't rely on anyone. She is in for a big surprise though as she has stumbled into the one family that will do anything for a family member even die for them and now that Harley and Carlista are here and the fact that Carlista is the first Bailey grandchild, they aren't being let go just like that. Once the father is discovered, he will now try everything in his power to get them to stay in their small town as once a Bailey, always a Bailey. I have to say I am interested in Savannah and Liam's story and can't wait for their tale as the chemistry is just reaching the boil. If you haven't discovered the Baileys, then what are you waiting for and this is one family that will welcome you with arms open wide.

Habe es wieder als Hörbuch gehört und fand es wieder richtig toll ! Ich fand es sogar ein kleines bisschen besser als Band 1 & 2, weil einfach etwas mehr Spice drin war. Ich mochte auch die Protagonisten Holly und Austin extrem gerne und freue mich jetzt auf Band 3.5 und die anderen !❤️

Wie bereits in den vorherigen Bänden, war ich super schnell in der Geschichte drin. Das lag vor allem an dem sehr leichten, humorvollen und gefühlvollen Schreibstil. Außerdem war ich ja bereits schon vertraut mit ein paar der Charaktere.
Das Buch ist sowohl aus der Sicht von Rome, als auch Harley geschrieben, was mir das Lesen ebenfalls erleichtert hat, da ich mich so in beide hineinversetzen konnte.
Zu Beginn lernen wir Harley und ihre kleine Tochter Calista kennen. Harley ist aus einem ganz bestimmten Grund auf der Suche nach dem Vater ihres Kindes und sorgt dadurch für ein wenig Chaos.
Sie hat mir als Protagonistin wirklich gut gefallen, da sie eine liebevolle Mutter ist, die gleichzeitig total schlagfertig sein kann. Zudem war sie nicht naiv und hat Probleme meistens direkt angesprochen.
Rome war mir ebenfalls sympathisch. Anfangs ist er noch der typische Bad Boy, doch er übernimmt überraschend schnell Verantwortung. Es war so schön zu sehen, wie er seine Tochter kennen lernt und allgemein die Situation mit Calista wurde absolut authentisch beschrieben.
Was mir ebenfalls sehr gefallen hat war das Kennenlernen und die Liebesgeschichte von Rome und Harley, die natürlich im Vordergrund steht. Es war das perfekte Tempo und ich mochte, wie sich die beiden gegenseitig bei ihren Problemen unterstützt haben. Außerdem kommt die Geschichte perfekt ohne irgendein überflüssiges Drama aus und bleibt stets spannend.
Ein weiterer Pluspunkt war natürlich das Setting in einer Kleinstadt, in der niemand vor Gossip sicher ist, und die Großfamilie Bailey, die man einfach ins Herz schließen muss. Es war super schön die Charaktere aus den vorherigen Büchern wieder zu sehen.
Fazit
Ein leichtes und unterhaltsames New Adult Buch, das mir unfassbar gut gefallen hat. Ich mochte das Setting und die Charaktere sehr gerne und freue mich jetzt schon auf Band 4 und auf Savannahs Geschichte

This is the third book about the Bailey siblings and this time it is the 25-year old twins that are the focus. The question of who is the baby daddy is solved soon, and we learn it is Rome, who in the past books has been shown to have a way with women. He is now on the verge of opening his restaurant so the news is a bomb. I liked how he took the time to process the news and step up.
Now, I really really liked the heroine Harley. Having grown up in foster care and never having known her medical history she came all the way not to give her adorable daughter a father, but to get his medical history. What she didn't count on was a full family waiting to welcome her baby girl. Another thing I really like, was being a mother hadn't put a kibosh on her personal life and instead she was in a stable relationship.
I did like how honest Rome and Harley were with each other, and their tendencies to run and hide respectively. I think the way Harley chose to stay back, and why she made that decision worked for me. I also liked how these two didn't jump into something right away. All in all I liked seeing two mature parents come together and get their HEA.

Piper Rayne sure knows how to start a story off with fireworks. That's one of the things I've really enjoyed about the Bailey series. These books jump right in and get things moving. It makes for a great read that is instantly attention grabbing.
Once again I fell even more in love with the Bailey family in this story. I loved how they always come together to help and support each other. Even if it's one of their own who's actions caused the current situation they're dealing with.
I don't want to give away the secret of who the baby daddy is for those who haven't read it yet, but I loved how the reveal was done in such a way to be surprising and yet not. I of course had my guesses going in, but I just loved how it all came out.
This is definitely a must read book, but I would highly recommend reading the previous books in the series so that you can fall in love with the characters from the beginning like I had the chance to do.

I swear Piper Rayne gets writing this amazing books and making it harder and harder for me to pick which one is actually my favorite!! I keep saying I think this last one is but I honestly believe that they all are and I just can't pick or that the one I'm reading at the moment is until the next one or whatever they all are I'm just loving the one I'm on at the moment the most because it's the one that's freshest in my mind. Lol I know I sound crazy but I love their books and with this one I can't give any kind of hints about at all. But I can tell you that it is so freakin awesome that you definitely need to read it. And 5 stars isn't enough to cover this book at all!!! And I can't wait for the next one. And I am loving the Bailey's so hard core it's not even funny!!! Piper and Rayne can write nothing bad I truly believe that. I highly highly recommend this book!!!

Initial Reaction:
Absolutely looooved this one!!! The couple was fabulous! I loved Harley and I loved getting to know the Baileys even better...especially our mystery baby daddy! 😉

What Did I Like:
- The characters! One of my favourite things about Piper and Rayne's books will always be their characters! They put you completely in their characters' heads and really bring them to life! Harley and our baby daddy were fabulous!!! They were flawed and had some issues to overcome, but seeing them rise to the task was wonderful! And seeing them together...well that was even better! :D
- All the daddy moments! Romance has taught me several things about myself, and one of those things is that I am an absolute sucker for moments in books where we get to see our heroes being good dads...and this one did it very, very well! Seeing our mystery baby daddy grow into his role within his new family was soooo wonderful, and he was such a good dad! I can't wait to see more of those dad moments in later books!
- The entire Bailey family! I seriously love this family so much, and with each book I'm getting more and more attached! I can't wait for each and every one of their stories, and I also can't wait to see Grandma Dory continue to meddle in all of their lives. :P
What Didn't I Like:
- I wanted more scenes with our mystery daddy interacting with his siblings. We did get some scenes, but that was the one part of the story that I wanted more of...so really, I just wanted more of this story, which frankly isn't really a bad thing. :P

Overall, I thought that BIRTH OF A BABY DADDY was wonderful! I loved this story! I loved the characters, and I'm absolutely loving this entire series! Wholeheartedly looking forward to the next one! :D

And the Bailey’s are back in the Buzz Wheel. They always get in there for such delicious antics. This time; however, is for one Bailey, a life-changing event. Harley came into town looking for the father of her child. Not realising that the father was an identical twin. The Hero never for one minute ever thought that at the age of 25 a child would be calling him Da-da.
Through highs and lows, the Hero proves to everyone around him that he is far more than an easy laid back kind of guy. He has a career he loves and he finds himself navigating through the new responsibilities of being a father and how inherently natural some of this is to some people. Parenting books can’t always teach what nature gives.
For anyone who has read the other two previous Bailey books, you would have already come to the profound realisation of how much G-Ma D is loved by her family, the town and by us readers. G-Ma D fills the pages with hilarity and just a sprinkle of home truths when they are necessary.
‘“Go you two. I going to lock up. Ethel is nosey and the one time I forgot to lock the door, I came home to her watching her Netflix account. She watches the stupidest stuff so now my recommendations all suggest I watch Our Planet. Hello...I’m going to be dead soon. Who has time for that?”’
Harley has had a hard upbringing and doesn’t trust many people. She tends to run rather than confront. As well as seeing herself as a fully fledged member of the hard knocks club.
‘I’m not a new puppy filled with hope for an attachment. I’m the five-year-old dog that’s bounced from shelter to shelter.’
Two things these authors do well is comedy and romance. They heat the pages up and have often sent me to the kitchen in need of an ice cold drink. With Harley and the Hero, these things are ramped up to a factor of ten. I couldn’t see Harley with anyone else by the middle of this book and I was so very much rooting for them to get to their happily ever after.
On a side note: I have never, ever laughed so much over such a small cooking faux pas. What do they always tell you about jalapenos? Well somebody found that out and there ended us being a very funny scene involving someone with greek yogurt on them and the other using milk. I cannot say anymore, I nearly forgot how to breathe I laughed so hard.
Of course, by the end of this, we know who the next Bailey is to get their book and their target of affection is someone I cannot wait to watch the explosions go off with. A mortar would be quieter than these two will be getting together. Well done ladies, you’ve outdone yourselves...again!

A super sweet and fun surprise baby romance where you’re dying to know what twin is the baby daddy? Yes, please! Birth of a Baby Daddy by Piper Raine had me from the blurb and I was not disappointed one bit.
I loved Harley. She’s a strong, independent single mom trying to do her best for her daughter. Having grown up in foster care herself she’s doing the most she can to give her baby Calista a better life than she had, including a family. And gah, that kid is freaking cute! She stole my heart one cute line at a time.
Harley goes in search of a DNA sample from the man she thinks is Calista’s dad. But when she walks into the Bailey family restaurant she encounters the twins, neither of which remember her, and a family who wants to get to know Calista. Harley agrees to starting a week so everyone can get to know her daughter. Little by little the baby daddy begins to remember the events of that night and as the week passed realizes there might be something there with his baby mama.
