LOVED THIS BOOK !!! There are a few things you should know - this is not a standalone and does end on a cliffhanger!
WOW just from the first Chapter I knew this was going to be a really good book. Here are just a few things that really appealed to me and why I am growing to really love this new ( for me ) author ....
Mafia setting where there is a kidnapping and arranged marriage
Sibling rivalry
Great secondary characters
Interesting plot with some great twists I didn’t see coming ...

Catalina is running from her past although we do not know her full background. She is kidnapped by Angel Montoya ( a powerful cartel boss ) who hopes to clean up his image with an arranged marriage. Cat is a feisty captive and gives everything right back to him in sarcasm and loads of sizzling chemistry between the two ... when things start going wrong in Angel’s kingdom it seems as if his whole world is falling apart and yet we don’t know who he is being deceived by .... in order to protect Cat they escape to Ireland where one of Angel’s long time friends ( Cyrus ) gives them a place to hide out. In a castle no less ...
I can’t wait to see what happens in Book 2 !! I read this book in one sitting - loved it !!

Amazing start to a new dark mafia series. Cat has become the pawn is a mafia war but soon sparks are flying between her and Angel. Angel has plans for his little captive but then his brother starts to fall for her as well. Who will she choose? Fast-paced mafia read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. Great characters with lots of depth and intense chemistry. I really liked it.

Disjointed
This started out really good, but has lots of typos, disjointed storyline, and minimal character buildup. Its like these major events have all this buildup, but don't deliver. Couldn't finish.

Who do you envy?
Envy is the first book in the Criminal Sins series. This is the first book I have read by Sasha Leone so I was not sure what to expect, as you never know if you will like a "new to you" author or not. The book description intrigued me as I do love a dark Mafia/Cartel story. This book is about Catalina and Angel who meet and get tangled up in more ways than one. The story-line was nicely developed with a lot going on in it. The characters were interesting, not always likeable but such in life when you are reading this type of story.
Be warned that this book does end with a cliffhanger that is picked up in the next book, Vicious. There were a few things that I was not completely on board with but that is to be expected. The book could also use at least another visit with a good proofreader, as it cut into the flow of the story for me as I was reading.

The more time they spent together, Angel knew he had made the right decision. Before the marriage can take place, Catalina is abducted, and his empire starts to fall apart. Someone close to him is out to destroy him. Angel manages to free Catalina, but he loses everything, and they are forced to flee to Ireland. Who is the enemy close to him? You will have to read the book to discover this and other dramatic revelations. Their story continues in the next book, "Viscious Angel." I found this book a fascinating introduction to Catalina and Angel's romance, despite their troubled beginning they were perfect for each other and I look forward to reading the next book to discover what happens next.

Wow! What an exceptionally well written storyline and plot. It’s gripping, fast paced with an explosive cliffhanger. Angel has built his empire with hard work, grit, wickedness, a cold heart and self preservation, plus he raised his whiny, sniveling brother, Dante, who is more evil and cruel.. Angel first sees Catalina at a gala while he’s focused on business but even the fleeting meeting had an impact on him. This is such an intense read, from kidnapping Catalina and holding her hostage, to proposing a marriage of convenience, to losing his empire and then losing the woman who he has fallen for to unknown enemies and discovering the biggest betrayal of all. Can not wait to read the 2nd book Vicious Angel.

Dark, gritty, twisted, suspenseful page turner with one hell of a plot and cliffhanger. This book is exceptionally well written with surprising twists and turns, lots of action and betrayals that comes from an unexpected and close source and kept me captivated and I was unable to put the book down.
Angel sees Catalina and must have her, so he takes her captive to serve his needs, but slowly he starts to see her more as a captive only to realize that his brother Dante want her as well and believes she belongs to him as he saw her first, however Catalina seems to be drawn to Angel. The author does an amazing job highlighting and describing the emotions and feelings between Angel and Catalina and their growing attraction to each other, while the supporting characters and relationships between them were realistic and well done and supports and elevates the plot. This is the first book I've read by this author and I was impressed with her skills as an author. This is a dark mafia story about Angel who's a mafia boss and an alpha character. He doesn’t do relationships or love until he tangles with Catalina. Cat was mafia royalty until her family's wealth was wiped out. She's looking for a rich man to provide for her lifestyle which is how she and Angel met. Let's just say there were fireworks throughout this book. There were fantastic characters, a sexy, well written dark storyline with action packe twists and turns that will leave you wanting more. I can't wait to read book 2 of this duet. I would highly recommend this book.

She has a questionable past, and I hope more is revealed about her family in the future. She meets Angel at a party, who can't get Catalina out of his mind. He later on captures her, and the sexual tension between them ignites as they spend time together.
Catalina harbors some secrets here, but she shows she is strong, bold, and has no fear of anyone. She's been on her own for a long time, so she certainly doesn't want to be anyone's captive. Angel Montoya is the cartel leader, but he's facing some hard obstacles with his business. He tries to shore up his image, and capturing Catalina and making her his wife and strengthening his family man image will certainly help him. However, their enemies start piling up, and even includes Angel's brother Dante, who wants Catalina for himself. I mean really? This book is filled to over flowing with beautiful unending wickedness, but most of all a love that literally flies off the page and lands smack dab in your lap! There will be tears. There will be hate. There will be alluring tantalization. You will go up and then be thrown down only to be picked up again and well it will be a miracle if you can put this down. So many twists and turns you very well might become dizzy! Listen Sasha can write! No question about that! She intrigues her readers and literally strings them along to the very end all the while teasing them with viciousness. She will latch onto your senses and will make you eat her words. No lie, I ran the gamut of feelings throughout this story and the title is PERFECT! Such a good book with characters that are well written and a story that will have you begging for more! I know you will be yearning for more once you finish this book. I sure am.

Envy is book 1 in a new mafia romance by Sasha Leone. The main characters are all Columbian and most of the story is set there as well. As far as mafia romances go this is one of the best I have read even though many of the things that happen aren't relatable to the every day person the author has been able to write the story in a way that makes it seem realistic. The character development, especially the one that Angel goes through, is impressive and well written. The FMC is a strong willed woman full of sass, which can sometimes in books become cliche, however the author has managed to make her seem strong and intelligent which really helps the story line. Overall amazing mafia read.

This novel had a lot of good moments, a lot of sweet moments; BUT it also had lot of just okay moments and just a sliver of the romance that the title implied. However, even though there were times when it would lull, I never pondered choosing another novel for immediately something would grab my attention again. There was always something slightly spicy or mysterious which would reel me back in to stick by the side of this author. In the end, though, I'm glad I finished reading this novel.

A great new Mafia series. It started off pretty slow to begin with but i stuck with it and things soon heated up. The chemistry between the MCs was really good. The story definitely had suspense and angst, which do keep you on the edge of your seat. It just didn't knock my socks off! I think this was because although there were some really heated great mafia parts, it just lulled too much in places and lost its pace a bit. I'm really hoping things speed up and get a little darker in the next instalment.

If the other books are like this one it will be a huge hit. We have Angel and Dante brothers and they each are attracted to Cat. This is the rollercoaster rides of all rollercoaster rides.

Envy is book 1 in a new series by Sasha Leone. Catalina's family past is shady to say the least her parents now dead she is stuck in Columbia as no country will accept her family underworld connections so she needs to find someone powerful enough to get her out, and Angel Montoya fits the bill. At first Angel didnt see think he thought much of Catalina only to serve as a captive for his demands to be met, but his mind couldn't think of anything but her, as desire burns between them it's not just Angel's eyes who are looking upon Catalina bit his brother Dante's too. When the stakes are raised and the heat is on who will Catalina choose, will she have a choice? Or does something more important control her decisions. Ends ina cliff hanger. This is a well written and great story line that's in depth and leaves you hanging g on for more! With action, suspense, sass, desire, romance hot scenes and more!
