They won’t release me until I breed with the alien beast…
After crashing onto a desert planet filled with alien savages, I find myself struggling to survive. My sister relies on me for her medicine, so I must get back to her.
Problem is, a lone alien with an intense stare and brands on his chest has been stalking me from afar. When he finally approaches me, I’m surprised to learn he wants to help.
But just as I’m given this lifeline, we're both captured by a savage tribe. They want him to take me by force, to prove to everyone that he’s the vicious beast they say he is.
Either he claims me, or all the warriors of the tribe will. We both have the same priority – survival. But will I make it out of this trial the same person?
Or will our mating transform me entirely, inside and out?
Alien Seed is an alien sci-fi romance, from the Warriors of the Oasis series of standalone books. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a very happily ever after is guaranteed.
Ivy Sparks has a passion for romances that feature kick-ass heroines and the dark alpha males who love them. If not for her demanding cat, she'd probably have even more books out.
So this one was interesting, if not a bit "Simple" and way too easy on the unfolding events of the plot. Still, it was something about it that was pure and sweet and did leave me curious about the other books in this non traditional series by this Author.
I may continue with the other books here.. We'll see.
I think sometimes these reviews say more about the reviewer's expectations than the book. So, let me start by saying that I like the sci-fi romance genre and read that type of book regularly. However, I did not like this book. It seemed overly simplistic (e.g. they're barbarians so the have slaves and mistreat women; while the good guys can solve all of the main couples problems in about a day) The characters weren't believable for me; they didn't feel consistent in their reactions. The whole thing lacked depth, and to be frank I don't expect a ton of that in the first place. I felt like I could see what the author was going for, but that it was at best a very superficial swipe at it.
This was the first book I’ve read from this author and this series and I enjoyed every moment of it. Although I didn’t feel lost by reading this book first, I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series so I can see what happened with those couples. I really liked the way the author layered the primitive aspects of the tribe with the space port and humans, it made for an exciting story full of action and danger. I love the characters! Each one has their own set quirks and a backstory that made them more relatable. This was really a fantastic read and I’m looking forward to reading more by this author.
This book...just, what? Some of the dirty talk was just too funny, cliche, and like bad porn. I think the author could do better. The title says it all.
I really liked this one! I initially picked this up because I am a slut for smut and I saw that the mmc had to have sex with the fmc to prove something to the tribe. Lol. I felt like the writing was really good in this one. Sometimes I read alien romance and it feels like there are so many grammatical mistakes and weird sentences and it's choppy or confusing. This felt well written(all though I'm no professional so maybe that's just my opinion). I also enjoyed the survival aspect to it, although I would have liked to see more of that. I feel like what we are missing in this book are more intimate moments between the fmc and the mmc to build the sexual tension. Maybe they have to share a tent? Or they are "cold" and need to share body heat? There was a braiding scene, which I thought was leading to an intimate moment(maybe he stands between her legs and touches her face, or he smells her arousal and it makes him feral) etc. There were really no moments like that and I just wanted more!! I wanted more desperate horniness lol. Like I mentioned before...the scene in the pit where they have sex. They both agree to it, they both consent, so it isn't non con really, or even dub con, but the tribe that Drifter is from wants to portray him as a bad man (a crazed feral rapist basically) so they force him to "rape" her and she has to pretend to not want it in order to be let free from the tribe. I'm a freak, I enjoyed it, I wanted more lol. I also felt a little sad because there were mentions of other couples with a human female and alien male and I want to read their stories! Maybe they are in future books? But it would make more sense if we got those books first. Either way, I want to read them! I am not into pregnancy or breeding or whatever. It was very brief. There were a couple mentions of the copious amounts of seed and wanting to breed the fmc and at one point the fmc asks the mmc to put a baby in her. But it was bearable and was really only in the last 10 pages or so of the book. One thing that bugged me was the use of "on account of". The phrase was used a couple of times "they did x y z on account of x y z" and it irked me for no good reason. Maybe it just reminds me of Rugrats/Tommy Pickles lol
Anyways, I liked the book. I'll be reading the next one also!

Ava is on an alien planet leading a team of miners when her ship blows up on day and she is the only survivor. Using her head she determines which direction to travel in after landing in the desert. The only problem is that she constantly feels eyes on her, but cannot find the source.
Drifter has been expelled from his clan because he was outspoken and did not like the way his leaders were heading. He has been living in the desert for years and had given up thinking he would ever feel something with anyone, however he is drawn to the strange person on his planet and is impressed with her thinking and courage.
Ava is captured by another clan, but Drifter steps in and rescues her, but there are consequences, which lead to them both being captured by Drifters original clan.
Both feel a strong connection to each other, but are forced to act in front of others in order to be released, which seals their fate as a couple. With Ava's limited knowledge on the planet, they decide to find another clan which may help them with a cure for her ill sister.
This new clan, helps them and also gives the pair a new home and has them feeling welcomed and wanted.
I really enjoyed this book and will more than likely read more from this author.
To be honest when I 1st started this book I thought it was a little slow but I will have to dim it once I got into it I certainly enjoyed the story line.
Ava is the female lead in this book and she is definitely a different type of person everything she does she does for someone else that she loves. The
Drifter on the other hand is a warrior who is questioned the authority in he's tribe and he's been exiled for his troubles. The
Story Area see to read Once I got pass the dry part And I hope that any reader picks it up and enjoyed it as much as I did in the end.

Survives them to be captured by one of the many tribes on the planet. She also feels as is someone is watching her intently. She escapes only to be captured by another tribe. Can she escape this one? I really loved this book, but let me clarify the intro because it isn't exactly how "I" thought it sounded. The FMC is a miner who's transport ship to the mines, or from the mines... Honestly that part wasn't clear. Anyways, the transport ship gets cut in half and so far as she knows, she's the only survivor. She has zero survival skills, but still manages to take down two big nasty bug creatures. Unfortunately, she gets kidnapped by weird looking bug aliens. I was thinking of the ant people from "Ants" only with tiny eyes and mouths. Anyways, the whole time and actually hot alien has his eyes on her. They escape the creepy aunt people and he hides her away in his crashed ship for a lil while. (Not actually his, his. It is an abandoned ship that just so magically happens to have burrowed it's own pipes/tubes down to an underground water source) That is filled with military gear and several rations that could last a lifetime. It's a pretty sweet set up and it's a shame they couldn't get it working so that they would at least have a safe transport to places. Also, if they could move that water collector to their final base, that would be awesome. Anyways, I'm getting off track. Point being, they get to know each other, they like each other immediately. So it's not like she just gets thrown in a pit with a stranger to be bread like at a breeding farm. No, the only issue with that part is that their watched the whole time they are doing it under the gaze of a bunch of creepy old dudes, and young, albeit, pathetic soldiers. Though, thankfully, you really can't tell that they're there. I usually avoid any books that have public "deeds" but this was written in a way that you nearly forgot they were there. I was still hoping that the "rebellion" would come to their rescue, but no dice. After that, which is about half way through the book, it's smooth sailing, even if there are a lot of sad emotions. The whole time the FMC is trying to save her sister from her illness, and believes she can't be with her mate, the MMC. And he is such a sweetheart. In the end, HEA, but I do hope they find her friend, and that maybe her sister can get a mate, too. The spicy was decent, not the most amazing, but it was good and worth the read. Nothing kinky, some minor size differences (which get even more different the next time they tango), and some quick foreplay. The foreplay scenes without the "home run" were better than with it.
I didn’t have high hopes for this one going into it strictly because of the cheesy cringe worthy title....it was a slow release week for SFR and I decided to give it a try. This was, I’m pretty sure, a new author for me to try. Would not recommend. Here’s why: ( spoil er ish con tent a head ! ) It was awkward. Not very in-depth, unique or heavily developed. Several tribes on a planet separated by sands. Most of the tribes are backwoods and male centric. The females are nothing more than wombs to use and abuse. The female crashes, gets taken by a nasty tribe. Saved by the exiled warrior from another ridiculous tribe. The typical stuff happens. Forced public mating. Neither one cares that it’s public. No big deal, but just FYI. Some of the cringe worthy cheesy lines... “Begging for him to plant his seed.” Okay, and now we’re gardening! Lol I mean if you think about it technically the females contain the technical seeds... Another one, “Put a baby in me, Drifter.” This made me do some laugh, cringe kind thing. I mean, come on. There’s way better lines to make it hot. There were also unanswered questions that seemed to be blatantly obvious in contractions. Like the aliens have a port in planet, but the natives can’t leave? Because they haven’t been studied to see if they carry diseases. But yet one of their diseases that they also have the cure for is ALREADY intergalactic and happens to plague the human heroines human sister. In general, the writing and editing wasn’t bad. It had its story ups and downs. It was what I call a fluff time filler piece. If you like lighter quick SFR, then perhaps give it a go. Because if that’s your fancy then this should fit the bill. But if you want unique and creative with details and big time world/universe building, this will leave a lot to be desired. But regardless, props to the author for further building a SFR book database. For those curious about triggers: Almost a forced scene with one of the bad guys. He does give her a paralyzing drug. A bad tribe female “examines” the heroine invasively. No cheating. No OW drama.
Ivy sparks is a new author for me. While searching through my kindle unlimited this book popped up in the you might like this section. It look good so I decided to give it a shot and I'm happy that I did. It was a really good read, with characters you not only like but you root for as each chapter unfolds. Ava works for a mining Corp that sends her far from home but late her well. And that all that matters to her because she is taking care of her younger very sick sister. Her parents were/are thoughtless self consumed people so wrapped up in their own problems they forgot they had children. So when Ava was old enough she took her sister and cared for her by her self. This connection and love of her sister is what gives this woman the right and the will to take on any challenge head on. He biggest get is when her ship crashes on the way back to the space port. She's left alone on a strange planet with the majority of manifesting are hostile, and treat women objects to be bought and sold. Drifter, is from a stealth clan native to this planet, he disagreed with many of his tribes out dated way especially the way they treated females and he was branded and exiled. He sees the downed space craft and decided to investigate. When he sees Ava defend herself and survive by any means necessary he feels a connection to her. Just when he is about too help her she captured by a rival tribe that does not mean her well. He follows and when the time is right he strikes and rescues her. As these two strangers start to unravel each others secrets a true bond forms between them, trust grows and feelings become strong. They face frightening situations, danger, death and the desert! But through it all they have one another and both realize that no matter what else is important to them their love for each other is true and vast. It's well worth the read and I've decided to read the other two that came first in this series in looking forward to another few nights filled with action, danger passion and ultimately love!💖💖💖💖
Ava's shuttle started to come apart and she was still strapped to her seat. She blacked out when she hit the ground. When she woke up, she realized that she was alone. She salvaged what she could and started walking in the direction of where she thought the space port was. Her imagination was working overtime of sand terrors. Just then a sand beast appeared! All she had was a pocket knife but she managed to kill it. Then five more showed up, then she heard gunshots. She had been saved, or had she? Ava was becoming alarmed at who saved her. They were looking at her as if she was a prize. She blacked out again. When she came around, she was in a witch doctor's hut. She started examining her, poking and proding her. To check if she was fertile! Ava got the idea of what they had planned for her. She was looking for an escape, when she heard " not yet" in her head. Maybe she hit her head harder than she thought. The witch doctor told her that she would be awarded to a higher ranking hunter. But he was an animal of an alien man. As soon as they got to his hut, he forced a liquid down her throat. All of a sudden, she was paralyzed. All she could move was her eyes. Then she heard the voice in her head again. That monster she had been given to lay beside her, dead. Another alien wrapped her in a blanket and carried her out of there. He told her not to worry, he would take care of her. Drifter had prepared a cave for her beforehand. He took care of her until she was able to move again. She suddenly felt safe. It was the voice in her head! He carried her out of the oasis until they got to the sand. Then he put her on her feet. And the race was on! As they talked, Ava and Drifter grew closer. But she had to go back because her sister was sick and dying without treatment. You'll have to read the book to find out how they got through it. I think you will be surprised but delightful. Bully for the good guy!
I felt like I read the outline of a really decent story. It felt like stuff hadn’t been fleshed out and some rough parts had been glossed over with a “sort this out later but deus ex machina for now.” I felt like to story should have been an amazing roller coaster but instead I got the children’s train ride. So many good ideas and options that just haven’t been as polished as they could have been. May be the most disappointing were the enemies or perceived threats just resolved themselves without much character interaction. Like good luck hit them really hard so they could get together, and without in-your-face-solve-this-or-die conflict characters really don’t grown and shine. Technical writing was solid, but flow and transition needed a good amount of work. Sometimes it seemed like a lot of effort was made to describe trivial things and the important things were sparse. Like the pivotal moments were too hard to get down so leave them sort of bare-boned and hope the reader has a good imagination to fill in those gaps.
Oh, if you want language to be a barrier, make it a barrier. You can’t have the leader speaking telepathically but then mention that, oh her thoughts are actually just impressions and he can’t really understand her and vice versa.
The male lead was almost too human-earthling for all his alien-ness. Either focus on the outer conflicts to resolve or make the conflict focused on overcoming the otherness despite the insta-connection (which isn’t that sort of the point of all alien romance?)
Edited to add: I’ve tried making my notes/highlights public for your reading pleasure. ————————— I was lured in by the high ratings (4.03 stars when I read this) but sadly, the book just didn’t measure up to me.
Firstly, I am disappointed in the book summary because the “they have to mate or else” doesn’t happen until around 50% into the book, so the summary is a spoiler in itself. Secondly…this book tried really hard, but the writing itself came across as very juvenile. The villains are very stereotypical, the plot is entirely predictable (especially since it’s basically given away in the summary), and the “big conflict” gets resolved in like 5 pages at the end. Additionally, there are many grammer errors throughout the book and just many things that didn’t make sense at all.
The “smut” felt cringy (the FMC was aroused appropriately 2.7 seconds after meeting the MMC and kept “walking behind him to check out his ass”), the “alien” aspect was completely downplayed. For example: even though they have “translators” in their ears, he understands expressions like “willy nilly” (and later they can understand each other telepathically without the translators?). Also, the MMC knows about her human physiology despite never having seen a human before (although he sure knew how to find her clit fast enough). There were just too many things that didn’t add up to me.
Ava’s world gets turned upside down when she is in an accident & finds herself alone in the alien desert on a hostile planet. Things get worse when she is captured by the Vex to be used for breeding. Drifter has never felt the connection he does with Ava and though he knows he is putting his life on the line by rescuing her, he can’t let the Vex harm her. They still have a tough journey ahead as the Vex are out for revenge and Drifter is her only protection against both the enemy and the sand beasts. Though Drifter knows Ava is his mate, he will help her with the difficult journey to reach the Star Port so she can get home to Earth to save her sister even if that means he has to let her go as he can’t go to Earth. But when demons from Drifter’s past close in, Ava will have to work fast to save Drifter’s life and an unexpected ally may be the key to their future happiness together as they fight for their HEA.

Ava was on a shuttle heading back to base and was suddenly thrown to the ground when the shuttle exploded. When she gets back to her feet, she is alone in the desert and starts walking. She is “rescued” by a barbarian tribe called the Vex who are giving her to an unsavory warrior for breeding. But Drifter rescues her and wants to help her.
Drifter was a wanderer who had been exiled from his clan when he disagreed with what they were doing. Someone framed him to get him tossed out. When he saw Ava, he recognized that she was his mate. So her rescue was inevitable! But Ava is still worried about her ill sister. When she finds out there is a cure for her, will they be able to reach these people in time? Will they be able to save her sister? Will Ava accept Drifter as her mate?
This is a familiar story line but still remains interesting. My favorite character was Drifter because he was a good person and he was willing to sacrifice for the happiness of his mate. Grab your copy and see what the future holds for them.
Drifter sees Ava fall from the sky, and watches as she struggles to survive in his planet's harsh desert. Where some might throw a tantrum, or immediately reveal a lack of survival skills, Ava shows she's got a brain, and is using it... as well as a drive to survive and return to... someone?
Drifter was exiled by his tribe for crimes he swears he never committed. In Ava he discovers someone who judges him not by the allegations made against him, but by his actions with her, towards her, around her... anything and everything she sees evidence of.
I really enjoyed this done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read about two people who cared about others and were willing to struggle and fight the good fight. I hope Drifter's tribe is in future stories.
Our hero drifter was honestly perfectly written. He had just the right amount of strength mixed with the right amount of care. Even the heroine was surprisingly well written. A sad reality of romance novels is that often heroines are overlooked in their complexity in favor of perfect heroes. Ava's shuttle started to come apart and she was still strapped to her seat. she came around, she was in a witch doctor's hut. She started examining her, poking and prodding her. To check if she was fertile! Ava got the idea of what they had planned for her. I like the mouthy girl, hot silent mountain of a man, and adventure galore. But where is the SEX! Half way through the book and nothing. A lot of close calls and a lot of tension. This book was full of twists and turns. If you like aliens and a good story line you’ll like these characters.
This book 1 in the Warriors of the Oasis Series is a very well-written story with well crafted characters. These wonderfully well written characters, flaws and all, will make you feel their emotions and you will root for them to make the connection. They have wonderful chemistry and history. I cannot wait to read more in the series. This story is filled with action, adventure, and intrigue. The supporting characters were interesting and kept me reading as well. Ivy Sparks has done a great job with this book. Alien Seed is an alien sci-fi romance, from the Warriors of the Oasis series of standalone books. This novel features a spitfire heroine and the sexy alien warrior who seeks to possess her.

A enjoyable story. An interesting story to be sure, while i cant say the story wowed me, it was enough that it kept my interest thought most of the story. I liked Avas character she was strong and smart, she was also doing what she could to find a cure for her sisters illness. Drifter, exhiled from his clan because he didnt agree with the goings on so he was framed for crimes he didnt do. Seeing Ava he knew she was his mate, he rescued her from getting taken by an evil lord. Ava is still worried about her sister and learns that there is a cure. Can they both get to the people who have the cure in time to save her sister.? Both these characters are great, though i really did like Drifter he really did do anything to try and help his mate.
4 1/2 stars A good story I enjoyed reading and reviewing via Booksprout. Ava who works as a miner on the planet Xersie who has a sick sister that relies on her for her medicine is riding the transport shuttle when it starts tearing apart and throws her chair away in the sands as she watches the shuttle explode. Seeing Leslie bring thrown in the opposite direction she starts trekking toward her, but as she walks she has a feeling of being watched. Will she camps for the night three tribesmen find her and take her to their tribe where she told she will be given to a warrior to breed with. The chosen tribesman takes her to his home where she rescue. Drifter who was exiled from his clan has been following her and now rescue her. When she recovers will Drifter take her back to her people?
I go love me some Ivy Sparks' writing! Drifter and Ava do not disappoint. I really liked the supporting characters and thought there would be more from his tribe that would be against the king. I hope that is fodder for more books in this world. I thought the artifacts he held in the ship were going to go somewhere, I felt a fake dodge on those...like there was going to be more substance to what he had found but then nothing or better yet the gold cuff they were going to use for the cure was actually his status cuff for the tribe..I don't know it just seemed a bit of swirl and whirl that went no where that I wanted it to *sigh... So hoping for some Madison finding her own story and warrior/hunter/hunky stud.

Had a great storyline that kept me reading until the very end. Ava was a strong, independent, and smart and needed to find a cure for her sisters illness. Drifter has been exiled from his clan because he didn't like they way things were going and he was framed for a crime he didn't do. When he sees Ava he knows that she is his mate, and he ends up rescuing her from the evil lord. Ava learns that there is a cure for her sister and they need to get to the people that have the cure in time to save her sister. Do they make it in time? Love the connection and the chemistry between Ava and Drifter. I received an ARC copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ava was on a shuttle heading back to base when it came apart and exploded. Somehow she survives and wakes up to find herself alone in the desert. After killing two sand beasts and being surrounded by four more, she was rescued/captured by a barbarian tribe called the Vex. The Vex plan to give her to one of their warriors for breeding. Drifter rescues her just in time and promises to get her back. There is a lot of adventure and danger to survive before they get their HEA. Both of the strong and independent characters are enjoyable. I will definitely be looking for more books like this.

A great story that will stay with you a while, I read this book out of order, so now I need to read the ones before! It is constant action, Ava almost dies so many times, but she always comes up swinging. Drifter came along right when she needed him and then they adventured together. King Kyle is awful, I literally hate that dude almost as much as I hated the other bad guys. I'm still hoping the other girl lived somehow. The book is full-on action, tension, and adventure and when the steam happens it's hot, so hot. Don't give up on this book! Once it draws you in, you'll be like me, looking to read the ones that lead up to it
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I haven’t read any books by Ivy Sparks before, but I as very impressed with her work. The characters were vibrant and had depth to them. It wasn’t just about the heat between the characters, but the storyline was well thought out and it was full of details and made you really want to find out what would happen next. I loved Ava and Drifter, how they became fated mates and they found their happily ever after. Highly recommend.

I really liked this new story! Ava and Drifter are captured by his old tribe after he saves her from being assaulted. They want to prove that he's the animal that they banished so many years ago by having him assault Ava. They didn't count on the bond that's been growing between them. I liked the storyline and the worldbuilding. Lots of room for sequels. Great characters, action adventure and HEA. a really great read.

I love her books this is the second or third book of hers that i have read. It ties in with her other book but you don't need to read both to enjoy either one. It is a classic tale of a damsel in distress. It has plenty of heat along with a wonderful story that is well rounded and has a bit of everything. action and comedy along with a wonderful loving romance. It is a good standalone with no cheating and a HEA.
