The characters are well crafted; especially Aahan, capturing the insecurities and dilemma of the protagonist. The ending is satisfying making it an enjoyable read.
Overall, 'Finally, I Embraced Reality…’ is an engrossing read that will you keep you hooked till the end. A great read for everyone.
Finally I embraced reality is the story of Aahan. Aahan is an introverted guy and he is also very insecure about his stuttering problem. He has a constant friend in the form of Daksh. He is still hung up on his past relationship with Nainika but universe sends him a beautiful angel in the form of Tanvi.
The story is very simple and some moments mentioned can be felt by the readers.
I wish the characters were more developed enabling the reader to visualise them and connect in a better way.
The story makes us realise the importance of giving up the insecurities as soon as possible and coming out of the shell. Also, it advocates the idea of love happening again.
It's a short read without many twists and turns, sometimes the story just feels flat and stretched.
I liked the cover and the title goes very well with the story.
I liked the author's other book What's the Sunshine of your life? way better than this one.
■About: The story revolves around Aahan who is quite shy, introvert and also has stuttering problem. He recently goes through break up and he blames his stuttering problem for his failed relationship. Next his long time friend Daksh arranges a surprise double date with Ridhima( Daksh's GF) and Tanvi (Ridhima's friend) to cheer Aahan up and to make him meet new people. Tanvi immediatly falls for Aahan but Aahan is too much caught up in his past toxic relationship and his insecurities about stuttering. He does not want to give love a chance again because he does not want to go through the same pain that he is still going through everyday. So will Aahan move on? Will he give Tanvi a chance? Or will he simply decide to lead the life alone? To know that you definately need to flip pages of this book!! . ■ personal opinion: it is a simple romance love story. Plot is quite simple, not much twist and turns are there. Language is also very easy to understand so any one can pick this book up. It is a short and fast paced read but yet at some places it seemed a bit stretched. In short it's good for one time read!!
In162 pages, we enter the world of love, betrayal , friendship and disappointments. Aahan, our protagonist follows a simple rule- Live and Let Live. Sounds easy right? But is it?
Through Aahan, you will know nothing whatsoever in life in easy. If you dare to love, you have to face heartache. But what's to the life if you don't take risks?
Aahan has a past which makes it difficult for him to fall in love again. His previous relationship had fallen apart coz of misunderstandings and insecurities. But Daksh, who had always been a good friend and support to Aahan, helped him to come out of it.
Life gives Aahan another chance to make his heart feel loved and safe again, but will Aahan take the chance and make gold out of it?
I didn't like Aahan much, my favorite character was Daksh, who is hell of a person and friend, funny, sarcastic, humorous but someone who once committed will never back down.
I felt many things where overly described. Few details were unnecessary for my liking.
The prose is strong and effective. The language is lucid and simple.
It's one time read, if you like to read about emotions, romance and friendship.

For me the story was sweet amd simple. But it raises some social topics with it, like the problem of stammering and the consequence of it in the life and personality of the person affected by it. The story was somehow predictable for me. Also, the story was very fast paced. Due to it, the connectivity with characters was somehow less for me and the emotions was not well came out from it. The language of the book is very easy. So of you're a beginner, you can try it. But what seems interesting to me in the story was the daily lifestyle of the characters described in it.
I will recommend it to those readers who love reading romance. Also, the beginners can try it.

Finally, I Embraced Reality… is a story about finding a place in this world and dealing with reality, challenging yourself, and molding your problems to your strength. . Aahan is the protagonist of this story, who has stammering issues with him & lives with his best bud Daksh. As Aahan was upset and wasn’t feeling better his friend pulled him towards an outing which ends up like a double date for them. . Daksh Introduced Aahan to his girlfriend Riddhima and her friend Tanvi, even though the date wasn’t going well but Tanvi and Aahan started falling for each other, Meanwhile, Aahan was having an issue with his past relationship, What will happen to Aahan and Tanvi’s Relationship? Would Aahan be able to forget his past? To know more you have to read this one. . The story was simple and the writing as well, mostly it was boring for me, quite predictable, and doesn’t felt better as a reader. Some parts were stretched out. The theme of the book is that you must choose the right path no matter what? If you like contemporary Romance which leads to self-discovery then go ahead.
This story touched my heart deeply. Despite struggling with speech and facing emotional wounds, Aahan's belief in the power of love shines through. It's a powerful reminder that when you're surrounded by the right people, you can overcome anything.
As Aahan navigates the painful realization that those he loves have walked away, I found myself empathizing with his journey of self-discovery. Life's lessons hit hard, but Aahan's resilience and determination to find love again are truly inspiring.
The sudden twist in his life offers a glimmer of hope, and I couldn't help but root for him to seize this new opportunity for happiness. Will he be able to open his heart once more? I was left eagerly turning the pages to find out.
I must say that one should read this story is a poignant exploration of love, loss, and the resilience of the human spirit. It's a testament to the fact that even in our darkest moments, there's always a chance for a brighter tomorrow. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a touching and uplifting read.
The plot revolves around Aahan, who believes in philosophy ‘you don’t have to worry when you’re with the people you love’. Bad past has pushed Aahan to stress and anxiety, but he strongly believes friendship and love. To his contrary is his best friend Daksh. He is totally different to Aahan in every way, from attitude to habits. The book also covers a romantic love story of Aahan and Tanvi.Their friendship turns into love, they start dating but his past haunts him with negative thoughts and pains. Their relationship also faces ups and downs. The story is Aahan’s journey on how he moves on from his dark phase and gets what he loves. The book holds short chapters written in simple language; this makes one read easily and connects well. The characters are relatable, narration is smooth and storyline is engaging. The title justifies the plot and so does the cover. Overall a short read that connects well.

'Finally, I Embraced Life' by Rakesh Deshpande is a book that revolves around Aahan who recently had a breakup and is heartbroken. Aahan is an introvert and when under a lot of pressure he stammers. Then we have Daksh Aahan's best friend who is trying to help him out. Daksh once takes Aahan out since he it's been a year that he has not met any other person. There he introduces his girlfriend Ridhima and her friend Tanvi. Tanvi really liked Aahan and she asks him for a walk which leaves him completely shocked. Is Tanvi in love with Aahan? Will Aahan accept Tanvi's love given his shocking past? What is it that has happened in Aahan's past which still disturbs him?
My Thoughts:
I liked how the story progresses. It was nice to see how Daksh really wants to help out Aahan. The characters were well developed especially Aahan who has undergone in the past will surely make the readers emotional and close to him. Language is simple and lucid and the narration is well done.
Overall, it was a emotional rollercoaster ride and a beautiful story that will surely touch the readers heart.
Honestly, When i started reading, I did not know what was happening but somehow or somewhat the character seemed so relatable. Slowly and eventually when i gazed through more chapters and the story unfolded the characters of the main protagonist and the people surrounded by him, the story got more and more interesting. The author has the power to make you see what he wants and make judgments accordingly. This power made the story and it's plot twist so amazing. Only if the location, city and ambience would have been described more thoroughly, the story would have been more alluring while imagining the scenes. Other then that! The story stands a chance to blow up your mind. The thought conveyed through the story is very strong, unique and special. I really liked the idea very much(which is clear through the title itself) but i did not expect it to come out in this way. Fabulous, Highly impressed.
I highly recommend this to read! Will be on my Tbr forever ig.
This book revolves around Aahan and his journey of recovering from a bad relationship. The book takes place in present when he has broken up with the girl he loved and is currently trying to get his life back on track. . Aahan’s character of a shy, introverted and timid guy who had a stutter was interesting to read about and the thing which kept me going in this book. I liked how his disability was portrayed by the way he was treated to the difficulties it brought in his life. Another thing which I liked was the way Aahan and his ex’s relationship was shown through past memories giving a detailed view of a toxic relationship and it’s impact on Aahan. . The pace was too slow for my liking and I was bored at places which made me put the book down many times. Another thing I didn’t like was how much everyone shouted/snapped at each other which didn’t come across as normal at all.
The book dictates the story of a boy. It's the usual one. Friendship, love, and then apart. Here we can say break up. The protagonist of the story, Ahan, is going through a breakup. He has a feeling that his breakup is responsible for the situation which he is going through. When the person you loved leaves you, you feel that your life is meaningless. Being in affairs and breakups is a span of life which each boy and girl face, where they need to be explained in their own way. At such times, their friends help them to get out of it. In this story, Ahan's friend Daksha comes to his aid. Meanwhile, Ahan gets acquainted with the new girl and then the same thing starts, friendship then loves then...... So the moral of the book is to choose the right path in spite of the worst situation and start over again..... One should read this book at least once.
This is a story of protagonist Aahan who is going through a phase of breakup and is living with his friend Daksh who is a free-spirited, lively person. Aahan feels low thinking his stammering is the reason no one likes him. Daksh tries to cheer Aahan and takes him on an unexpected date to meet a girl Tanvi along with his girlfriend Ridhima.
Aahan likes Tanvi and befriend her and continue to chat with her. Their relationship turns from friendship to love but Aahan is confused. Will he accept Tanvi? Will he overcome his past and move on?
This is a simple story of friendship, love, betrayal, ego and heartbreak. Through story, the author shows us the ups and downs of any relationship and how our ego and misconceptions can damage the relationships. It shows how important it is to listen to the other person patiently before the matter gets out of our hand.
I liked the story but one thing I couldn't understand was why did Aahan feel something looking at a receptionist but it never made clear in the story. Overall it was a good story.

I felt really good after reading this story, it was so realistic and connecting. I feel touched. Everyone should accept their reality and move on in his life. No one deserves insecurities and fears which even don't matters to others. The story was nicely paced and well written. I liked the storyline and the theme. If a reader gets connected with the book , then it's the success of the author, so I guess, in my case , he succeeded. Characterisation were perfect and story was short read. One can complete it within a day or in one sit if you are free. It is a light yet heavy teaching read. Those 10 chapters of the book will definitely teach you something.
Overall I enjoyed reading this. I recommend this book to everyone.
The story revolves around the protagonist, Ahaan who is going through a difficult phase of his life. The book takes place in present when he separate from his girlfriend and is currently trying to get his life back on track. Later, Daksh( Ahaan's friend) and his girlfriend sets a double date and takes Ahaan along them. There he meets a new girl who was unknown to him but later they became friends. Will Ahaan be able to move on? Wilm their frienship lasts forever? Will Tanvi and Ahaan be together?
I loved the way author has described their love story. Moving on is very important in life. The language is simple and clear. The title ans the book cover is apt. I would recommend this book to everyone.
I finally embraced reality is the story of Aahan who has stammering problem. He lives with his friend Daksh. Aahan is trying to move on from his breakup. He thinks his stammering is the reason his relationship failed and no one likes him
Daksh and his girlfriend set up a double date and take Aahan with them along with a friend. Soon Aahan starts talking to this new girl and eventually they become friends.
We know that breakups are hard and we know that relationships can never be forgotten just like that when a lot of emotions are invested. But instead of draining our mental and emotional health, we can work on our betterment and future. This will also help us decide our tribe and eventually we might find ourselves someone who likes us just the way we are.

Life is all about uncertainties, discovering, encountering and embracing the harsh realities and these elements are reflected through the beginning of this book. By using romantic healing, it tells the story of Ahaan , Daksh and Tanvi. Ahaan a character depicted as inconsolable past and continues suffering at psychological level in the form of emotional frustration. Role of Daksh is also portrayed very beautifully in the story that gives this story a kind of engaging plot. How story takes a turn? What is peak of the story? How it delight your emotional quotient? These should be left out for the readers to experience it by first hand reading.
Narrative is very moderate and emotional touch throughout the lines will prompt the readers to take a little pause and read those lines again. Overall, one can find true and honest efforts from the side of the author that would make the readers to feel satisfied and pleased at the end of the story.
🌸 Review- It’s a story of Aahan a simple boy , who is heart broken because of his past. He lives with his best buddy , Daksh, high spirited and sarcastic by nature . Aahan is a firm believer of love and friendship . One day Daksh forcefully takes him for an unexpected date with Ridhima where Aahan meets Tanvi. Aahan gets attracted towards Tanvi and they both develop a beautiful bond of friendship which in turn converts into love .Like every love story this also turns out to be a story with all kind of flavours . Bitter and sweet , sour and tangy , with a simplicity which fills your heart with positivity. The author has penned down his thoughts beautifully making it a tale of love and friendship with various shades.
Finally, I embraced reality by Rakesh Deshpande is a love story which has beautifully plotted on Ahaan, the main protagonist of the story. He is broken with his relationship with Nainika. He became so frustrated for his past and his mind has filled with anxiety. In growing time he meets Tanvi by the help of his friend Daksh and Ridhima. His life has turned to a new chapter.
Every character in this story portrays their role nicely. Its a simple love story but narration is so good. A well written story it is in few pages.
Lucid language used. Title and cover is apt to the plot. It was a very short read for me. Enjoyed throughout.
The story is about Ahaan who is an introvert and insecure too. He stammers whenever he is under pressure or when anxious. The love of his life Nainika leaves him and he is in an emotional mess. Aahan through Daksh meets Tanvi. Soon they become friends and start a relationship. But will Aahan’s past haunt him? Read the book to know more. . ~ A very well written book with amazing character building and intriguing story. ~ The language used is simple and narration lucid. ~The whole story is on a sweet note and gives few lessons to the readers. ~The cover of the book and title is pretty accurate. ~ Overall, a fine read and recommended to beginners and for one time read.
Finally, I Embraced Reality by Rakesh Deshpande revolves around Ahaan who's heartbroken and having hard time to move on from the past. With the help of his friend Daksh, he meets someone but can he finally let go of the past and give love another chance? I enjoyed the concept of the story, character's perspective interwoven to create a fully rounded story of love, friendship, heartbreak and crazy twist. The book had me gripped as a typical love story and how life can really be harsh but it all works out in the end.
The characters were variant but not quite unique. Daksh’s character as a supporting friend was one I liked most. The main characters were well written I am sure but I just did not connect to them and rest of the characters aren't featured as prominently except Daksh. So my point is this: I suggest going with the flow and just enjoy this romance novel as it is meant to be. The story seems like a typical one when it starts and the book lacks proper scene descriptions and character development which I felt like a drawback of this novella. But still you can enjoy it as a light romance read.
Aahan from this story is a simple man with stammering, he has just a small circle of people who call his friends. He had a relationship with Nainika, and they broke up due to his insecurities and his fears and he was a heartbroken man. A year has passed since the breakup, yet Aahan still finds himself grappling with the emotional aftermath, unable to resume a normal life. The pain of the breakup continues to haunt him, making it challenging for him to move forward and find peace within himself. Everyday tasks feel like burdens as he navigates through the complexities of his emotions, longing for closure and healing from the heartbreak that continues to weigh heavily on his soul. Aahan finds himself constantly reminiscing about the days he spent with Nainika, unable to move past the memories. Fortunately, his childhood friend Daksh is a constant source of support, deeply caring for Aahan and always ready to help him through any difficulty. Meanwhile, Daksh himself is romantically involved with Ridhima, and the two often go on dates together. On one such occasion, they invite Aahan along, where he meets Tanvi, Ridhima's friend. Tanvi quickly develops feelings for Aahan, but he remains consumed by the pain of his past heartbreak, unable to reciprocate her affection.
It's a simple lover story and simple plot that can be read one time, and also it's a fast-paced and short story to read if you like to read short reads in one day, just for relaxing, and also, if you're in a reading slump, not feeling like reading then you must read this type of short story.
This story is an emotional journey, weaving themes of love, heartbreak, and navigating insecurities. Centered around Aahan, who struggles to move forward after experiencing heartbreak, it intricately blends elements of romance and drama, eliciting a range of emotions as readers delve into the character's emotional turmoil.
In addition to its exploration of love and heartbreak, the story also tackles significant social issues such as the challenges faced by individuals dealing with stammering. It delves into the impact of stammering on one's life and personality, shedding light on the struggles and consequences that individuals affected by this condition may encounter. Read this book to know more about their story. You will like it.
