I was born and raised in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Wanting to escape life in a big city and concentrate more on working to live than living to work, I moved to the Outer Hebrides in the north-west of Scotland in 2004 and I have lived there ever since with my wife and dogs.
I write post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, dystopian and horror fiction. I’ve released fifty one books across six different series - Safe Haven, The End of Everything, Unsafe, Relentless, The Burning Tree and Scares in Scotland.
In addition, most of my titles are now available as audiobooks narrated by Kim Bretton, so if you’re one of the many people who struggle to find the time to read, you can listen on the go.

I really enjoyed this read! It was packed with non stop action, with constant threat from numerous sources and a thirst to survive and protect. I wondered what more they could do in this series but boy was I supposed at how much more could be packed into the series and still be as equally exciting as the other reads in this series. I loved the squabbles between the rat varty and anush. It was just like typical in-laws and made it all the more real. It was easy to follow and had you hooked straight away. The whole series was a great adventure with some nasty brutal ways. But a fascinating thoroughly enjoyable read. Definitely recommend.
3.5 star rating - Spoilers only refer to content warnings you should be aware of. Cannibalism and Torture were both graphic in this book. If that is not something you can read, I would skip it. It was hard for me to get through. Even saying all of this, I still enjoy Christopher Artinian's books.
Had some problems with this one. For starters, the main character might as well be John Wick, even though descriptions of him from the previous entries in the series didn't give any impression that was possible from him. Second, there are characters in this book that are simply "there." In fact, I forgot they were even "there" to begin with until they suddenly die. Third, the villains in this one remain mysterious and never really get explained. But true to the other books in this series, there's lots of hardcore killing scenes. And it was cool for characters from a previous book to be in this one too. I will definitely check out the Safe Haven books at some point.
This book was good, but it was my least favorite of the three books in the "Relentless" series. The action was unstoppable. The descriptions were detailed and visceral. I enjoyed the opening glimpse into the life of the mother and her two children; however, some of the other characters did not garner the emotional impact that I usually find in this author's stories. Still, I recommend this story and this series with the understanding that due to the extravagant detail, I wouldn't recommend it for younger readers. Kim Bretton's narration was spectacular and her expressive voice added entertainment to the tale. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.
I hate the way the author ended this. It felt rushed and uninspired like he was just simply trying to hurry and get through writing the last of it. Gory as hello though so if that’s your thing, you’ll enjoy this one. It’s the goriest of the 3. I’m disappointed that some of the characters like Ayla remained undeveloped and the story just, as a whole, feels unfinished.
WOW, what a great 3rd book and one where I can say, "I didn't see this ending coming". Christopher Artinian did a great job with this book. Reading this really showed what goes around comes around, but it also made you cheer for certain individuals who you would have never thought you'd cheer for. All in all, I really did enjoy this series and where Book 2 seemed to move faster through the story, Book 3 was just right. Though I must regarding any books I read, the longer the better. Thank you Christopher Artinian for bringing another story to light....
I loved this book the best of the trilogy, darker and more gruesome, and chilling, full of suspense that leaves you on the edge of your seat. A fantastic plot twist that had Verik facing the same nightmarish scenario's he created for so many terrified contestants, and a bit confusing as I found myself cheering on the 'bad guy'! Kim goes above and beyond to provide superb and flawless narration. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
This one is so good. I mean the entire series is. Artinian blows my mind every time I get a new book by him. This one is definitely more of his gory stuff. I found myself cringing and getting a bit grossed out.... but in a good way if that’s possible. Kim Bretton is my female narrator crush. She just kills it every time! Amazing! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
BRAVO!!! A fitting end to a Great series!! I really thought “Mr” was going to be more successful than he was at the end because of everything he was able to accomplished throughout the book. *Im speaking in code as to not give anything away
I loved this ENTIRE series, and feel that the ending was perfect (and warranted).
Awesome finish to the series. The plots that twist and turn . You just never know what's going to be on the following page. I found the author through reading The burning tree which is absolutely brilliant. I went onto to read Safe Haven and The end of Everything absolutely brilliant. Highly recommended
This last book in the trilogy is a fast paced, horrifying tale of the fight for survival when the odds are against you. This trilogy ends with a bang and karma being served. A must read for fans of the horror genre.
Loved this series really sucked me right in to the point I couldn’t put it down until it was done. I really liked the characters. They were well written and likeable and believable.
A fabulous and bloody fitting end to a wonderfully gory mini series. Full of suspense and keeps you enthralled and gripped until the very end. Just brilliant Chris and many thanks
I thought when I started book one I wasn't going to like it, but after a few chapters I started to enjoy the book. Really fast paced and keeps your interest all through the series. Great read.
Definitely my favourite of the trilogy and the perfect way to wrap things up Kim never fails to put out excellent narration with the highest of quality If you enjoy high action horror I highly recommend this I received a free review audiobook and voluntarily left this review
This was an excellent story. A family stranded on a jungle island must battle wild animals and vicious tribesman for survival. Terror dogs their every move. This was just to good to put down when bed time came. Dang it.
What an exciting series!!!!! The action is non-stop and bloody!!!!! The characters are real... you hate some of them but then you love them too, if that makes sense!!! LOL Can't wait for his next book/series!!!!!
This series by Christopher Artinian is amazing. It’s definitely horror but not pee your pants horror for the reader that is. Quick read that packs a bunch into it.
This was a great way to finish off the relentless series. Although it started off a bit slow, it substantially picked up towards the end, and it was great to see Sarafian (mafia boss that ran the games, get his comeuppance). The addition of actual hunters was a good touch and made them more menacing than the first two books. But what was really good was the torture scenes. The descriptions were painful to read! In a good way, obviously. The only other books I have read from Christopher Artinian are some of his zombie books, it's good to see he can write in different genres. I'll be exploring more. However, if I could pick out a fault it would be something that I noticed in his other books, there's too many speeches. Too much "look, I love you, we can do this..." moments. Especially when they're trying to get that bloody key out of the tree, there's about 3 chapters of speeches until the key is finally free!
Christopher Artinian has turned out to be one of the best authors I have ever read. I have been drawn into every character he has ever written into a story. I just wish for more as I finish each and every book.
