UGH...another cliffhanger!?!?!?!?! I know I should be used to this by now but I’m not!!!
The characters are still awesome!! I enjoyed getting to read Rourke’s version of Rasputin!! Nix is still sexy, sassy and as dangerous as ever!!
The story-line was phenomenal and captivating. I found myself devouring this story rather quickly and it’s extremely fast paced and the cliffhanger..yeah, well you’ll have to read it for yourself. Rourke has put an amazing twist with a new character and a few of the old ones made this story so tantalizing and addicting all at the same time. And did I mention the cliffhanger? I am very glad that I realized that my phone was in my hand for this ending. I am very anxious to see how this series will end and I highly recommend it.

Snarky goodness!
This series just keeps getting better. Lucifer's dark side is revealed in all its dark and devious glory. Nyx can no longer deny it. I cannot wait till the final installment.

Just when I think I've got this series figured out, Rourke throws another wrench in the plan. What a plot twist! Winding down the series, the biggest puzzles in Nyx's saga are starting to click together, but when tasked with Reaping one of the darkest souls in history, can she complete her mission without re-writing history?
Reaping Rasputin was a bit more emotional than the previous entries in the series, coming from one of modern history's darkest-moments, Rourke was able to take a few liberties from the narrative and craft a pretty awesome story with a few real heartfelt moments. You dont have to be a history whiz to appreciate the work Rourke has put into bringing these characters to life.
This story was a little short on some of the character's we've grown to love, but I have no doubt book four will continue to astound. I definitely would have loved this one to be a bit longer, but I was able to breeze through it in about 20 minutes. Another hit on the episodic nature of this series that I've grown to love.
Another RIP-roaring good-time, Rourke spins a web of paranormal greatness you don't want to miss! Looking for some ghoulish fun for your fall 2020 TBR? Don't sleep on this series, or your reaping may be next!

I received an ARC to give an honest review. Which as soon as the paperback is available, I am going to buy it. I was wondering when our lovely reaper was going to catch Lucifer acting up. There is no way you can harvest souls and not let that consume you in one way or another. I love how quick Nyx is to figure things out and stops at nothing to make sure she has the answers. With this storyline, we are following the famous Rasputin. Is it sad to say the only way I know him is from the movie Anastasia? (Facepalm) I am totally missing out on some history there, so I liked how this author gave us some details and had me searching for more information on him. With Rasputin's help, which you can tell the disdain Nyx has for him/her, she will get closer to finding out what our friend Lucifer has in store for the world. Is it truly him, or is it someone else even far worse? Will Nyx ever be able to go back to her home? One series, you need to grab it. These stories are short and will leave you wanting more.

In this third installment of Fear the Reaper books, Stacey Rourke has brought on the plot twists. A little bit of retelling of Rasputin's story has me loving this so much. By helping reap Rasputin's soul will she change history? Lucifer... I can not say to much as it will give away too much, but damn, I want to know more. I want his story. I am loving that Nyx is seeing the toxic relationship, between her and Lucifer, for what it is and trying to fight against it. It seriously sends a message to readers that you don't have to nor should you deal with them.
I seriously cannot wait until I can get my hand on the next installment and learn more. Little bit of a spoiler, I did miss Ezekiel in this book, I am hoping he comes back in the next one because, I am silently hoping that there is something between him and Nyx.

I have so much I want to say regarding this book. Yet, I don't know where to begin without spoilers. So, I'm going to give this my best shot and hopefully not ruin this book!
Dang, dang, dang, that rotten Lucifer! I swear I'm terrified for Sel. And seriously, Z? God, made a huge mistake on that decision. Lucifer is vile and Sel, is blind, stupid, and living a "girl's" dream with wishful thinking. At this point, when you are centuries old, girl's ways of thinking should be long gone. Grow up!
I don't see this ending anywhere good! I can see trials, tribulations, and many broken hearts and tears in the future.

Nix's story gets a bit more twisted. She finds a major soul to reap, she is trying to determine what Lucifer is up to and reconcile what she knows she needs to do. Rasputin's story is different than the others and reaping this soul elicits empathy and compassion. I loved the twist of who Rasputin becomes (no spoilers!). Jo is a new character and has the perfect amount of sass and distain that we have come to know and love in this series. I cannot wait for the next installment to see what happens as in the conclusion of this story, as we are left with a cliffie!

I swear Nyx's story gets more interesting and twisted as we go through the series. Even though I was a little disappointed at how short this book was, this story is a bit different from the previous ones as we deal with one of the darkest souls in history and there's a big plot twist that leaves us hanging with a cliffhanger uuuuugh! Now I need book 4 like now! There's still all the sass you expect from our badass reaper, the humor is all there, but now we are left to wonder what is going to happen next. I am hoping we get the answers in the next book. 5 stars!

A truly terrific series continuing on Nyx’s adventure filled path to redemption ... full of history, angst, & snark galore. The Lady of Darkness leaves no stone unturned in this fast paced episode of her highly addictive journey. Rourke has a knack for creating worlds we don’t want to leave. Bringing unexpected emotions & intrigue through her character building ... even with the darkest souls. Wonderfully done! As always we are left begging for more!! Ready for book 4!!!!

Another great adventure for Nix! I love Stacey Rourke's ability to take history and legends to make them her own in this fantastic series. As always, Nyx is such a strong and snarky character. She keeps the entire adventure entertaining! Although we are left on a cliffhanger, it has just made me that much more excited to read the next book in this series. Onward!

This is the third installment of this serial and man it's awesome. I have to say the story within the story about Anastasia, makes sense to me, (won't give ita way cause well spoilers and I am not into that) I can't wait to know how this ends. Highly recommend this book and all of them within the serial so good!

Okay, there was so much information dumped at the beginning of this book explaining what happened at the end of the last book and what was going on now that it actually took me a bit to get into Reaping Rasputin. There's so much that goes on in this book that there's not much room too breathe. It's so fast paced that I'd have to sometimes go back and make sure I understood the paragraph I'd just read. Other than that, it was an interesting read and I loved watching Nyx finally start opening her eyes to who Lucifer really is.

This third book in the series has kept me on the edge of my seat wondering how everything is going to fall into place. I'm hooked on these characters and worlds and cannot wait to find out what is going to happen next.

Nyx’s scythe has been stolen. Luckily, she tracks it down pretty quickly in a laundry mat with the woman screaming that it doesn’t work. We learn that there is a plan afoot for 72 souls to be harvested outside of the normal way to form an army. I’m really enjoying the way this story is unfolding. There are surprising twists and turns! Really enjoying this series!

Reaping Rasputin begins exactly where book two ended – Nyx is chasing the woman who stole her scythe and beat her. The woman turns out to be the soul of Rasputin. Nyx realizes she is fighting a far more dangerous enemy than the souls she reaps. The book ends in the middle of a scene so make sure you have the next book ready to go.

Rasputin is one of the most diabolical souls in history, so it makes sense that he would become on of Nyx's assignments. However, this case is anything but typical for Nyx. Ms. Rourke uses this particular case as an opportunity to allow Rasputin to explain himself and his behaviors, leading Nyx down a very twisted and unexpected path. As this series evolves, each case is unique. This one was a bit more emotional than the prior two. In the meantime, Nyx's suspicions of Lucifer are confirmed. It really hit me with this one how much of a burden Nyx must carry with everything she has experienced. Yet she maintains her snarky, strong demeanor that makes her a badass reaper. Will it be enough when it comes to facing Lucifer? This book ends in a pretty major cliffhanger that will just leave you wanting more. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.
