San Diego Deputy Luke Johnson did not expect to find while on petrol in an isolated area in his district to find a young naked woman. After his first shock, Deputy Luke Johnson realised she was the young woman Elle Bradley that the San Diego Sheriff notified him about, who was kidnapped last month from Washington. San Diego Deputy Luke Johnson and Elle Bradley joined forces to find the kidnapper. The readers of Only Obsession will continue to follow San Diego Deputy Luke Johnson and Elle Bradley to discover what happens.

Only Obsession is the first book I read by Marissa Garner. I enjoyed reading this book and will read other books by Marissa Garner. I engaged with Only Obsession's plot and characters from the first page. I love Marissa Garner's portrayal of her characters and how they intertwine throughout this book. Only Obsession is well-written and researched by Marissa Garner. I like Marissa Garner's description of Only Obsessions sittings, which allowed me to imagine being part of the book's plot.

The readers of Only Obsession will learn about the consequences for people who have a stalker. Also, the readers of Only Obsession will understand the problems when you are obsessed with keeping up with high society.

Only Obsession is a wild ride of what’s next, why and who’s responsible. In the dark of night on a deserted country road, when a naked woman appears in the glare of his headlights, Deputy Sheriff Luke Johnson has no idea what he’s in for. Kidnap victim Elle Bradley, an investigative reporter, escapes captivity only to, literally, run into Luke who despises all things media related. Suspicious of her true motives from the get go, Luke feels obligated to help Elle reclaim her life. Even though he has no prayer to be a part of it.

This novel grips you by the throat in the opening and doesn't let go. The characters are admirable and relatable yet flawed, which is difficult to pull off, but Marissa Garner does an exceptional job. The romance is sexy and well developed. A riveting read you don't want to miss!

Luke is stunned when he almost runs over a beautiful woman in the middle of the road. Especially when she is also naked and on the run from her abductor. After taking her rescue in his stride, Luke finds himself at odds with his own rules - Never trust a reporter. Is Elle really an abductee? Did she engineer her own abduction for fame? Is she the victim of a stalker? Or is there another motive?

Elle may come from an uber-wealthy home but money doesn't equate to love and she knows which she'd prefer. She thought she had rid herself of her biggest problem - her ex-fiancee. Then she finds a whole new level of trouble! Now with Luke in her corner, she may just get her life back. But what will it take to get Deputy Helpful to trust her?

Poor Elle, she just goes from one kidnapping horror to another. Mind you her own stubbornness and quest for justice does land her in hot water more often than not. But turns I wanted to smack the pair of them. They just couldn't help themselves from inserting feet into mouths.

I've somehow missed book 2 but that shall be rectified. It really didn't hamper the story too much as they are stand-alones but obviously previous book brought in new characters/storylines.

Great read and I really enjoyed getting to the bottom of the "kidnapping" plot. I was only partially blind-sided by the "baddie" LOL.

The chemistry in this story between the hero and heroine is dynamite. And the premise Ms. Garner presents sounded like a sure win for a reader...famous journalist, kidnapped and a country lawman discovers her naked by the side of the road. I had to read it. Sure glad I did. You'll be entertained!
