Not even Pike's holy healing could remove the scar Grog received during the ritual his friends interrupted under Gatshadow, but reaching people who could provide answers is difficult. As often happens in these situations, a stranger approaches the party with an offer: he'll get them access to a wizard's tower in exchange for stealing a magical item while they're there. Simple enough. What could go wrong? More hijinks are on the way from award-nominated writer Jody Houser (Orphan Black, Stranger Things) and first series artist Olivia Samson.
I'm saying it now and I'll say it foward but I love the twins, like i absolutely love them. Oh and i dunno i was getting groot vibes from Grog before but now I'm getting drax vibes but like slightly just a bit smarter or just not as dumb i guess you could say, maybe more talkative.
What is happening to Grog and the party can't seem to find help. Then an Elf buts in and offers the party a job and they may even be able.to find some help also.
Middle books of an arc seem to do a lot of the “getting players into position” work. Still good writing and GREAT layout and art. But the pacing is a bit “need to do this.”
Not quite as good as the last volume, but still great! We got significantly less action in this volume, but I feel like we got to know the characters a bit better. Got to know their individual voices more, if that makes sense. Cant wait to read the next one!
I have been a critter for years now and its been great to see the adventures before the stream of Vox Machina. I can’t not wait to see what happens next for the team.
I particularly enjoyed seeing the team's skills in overcoming the traps, that was a fun sequence. Things are definitely getting even more interesting, looking forward to the next issue
