I can't put my finger on why this series from Harley Grace works so well for me, but it just does.

Each one has been an absolute delight, they're just low angst, feel good reads with a brilliant setting, loads of great secondary characters and two MCs who are always just right for each other.

Even if things do always seem to happen in a short space of time, they are on a holiday island after all, they never feel like it's an instalove situation. The two men just seem to have that spark, a connection from the off which allows them to open up to the other naturally without anything feeling forced or rushed.

Here it's Chef Eli's turn and his match is Spencer, a not quite as uptight as he might first seem administrator who Mr Blissand has brought to the resort to take some of the pressure off Eli's shoulders.

While their initial meeting is a a bit fraught, it's also filled with sparks of chemistry and I was laughing my head off at how quickly they were snogging in a cupboard because they really are a perfect match.

Tensions arise solely from the outside auditor who's been sent along to essentially see if Mr B has lost his mind, and her attitude leaves a lot to be desired. But, suffice it to say, those who work on the island are a family and they all pull together to see that not only is Mr B protected, but that no-one puts doubt on either Eli or Spencer.

I know it's always hard for a new author to make a mark in what's a crowded space already, but these books really are just a whole load of fun. They definitely bring me the Bliss that Adrien wants all his guests to find 😁

Now, please can I have Trace's story next (and Mr B's after that!)

Let me start with saying that I really like this series. I love the idea of the island of Bliss and it's inhabitants. So meeting new men and finding out their stories is really a joy.

That being said this one was a hard book for me to review. Despite liking both Eli and Spencer there were some things that got me distracted a lot. I went back and forth because I kept feeling I was missing something with how the story was about the wedding of two men and I felt like should I remembered reading this and I even checked a few times.

Back to Eli and Spencer, there is what you could call instant attraction and perhaps even love, meaning it went really fast between both men. For me it went a bit too fast. I missed the connection and the build up between Eli and Spence. I would have like to slow the process.

What this story is is very hot and very sexy I cannot deny that, but I would rather have seen more connection and built up then the sexy times we got a lot of.

Like I mentioned before this makes it a very hard review for me to write, and I even took a bit to straighten my thoughts about it.

Overall I liked both men, and the sexy times were nice but I was missing more especially after the great read of book 2 (Cinderella Proposal).

I didn't personally feel much for the plot of the audit and the lady was pretty unsurprising and expectedly hateful. I do like how both Spencer and Eli found a way to deal with her.

A highlight for me was the small interaction with Cord and Andrew and I would have loved to have gotten some David and Finley in this also.

What I am really looking forward to is Darren's story! I hope his story will be coming soon in this series and I am really curious to hear more about the bad boy son Jullian. I hope he is coming to bliss soon and falls under the wonderful spell of the resort.

If you are a fan of this series, there are quite some things you will enjoy and like me it definitely gets you excited for more Bliss stories

I couldn't wait to read this new story in the series that practically captivated me. Unfortunately, I had high expectations but this time I was unable to connect with the MC and I struggled to finish the story. That’s too bad :(

what I liked
•Both MCs
•No relationship angst
There was no denying their attraction and pulling away from each other. Not much insecurity, just openly showering each other in attention.

What I disliked
-Repetition.
Especially when talking about how long Spencer had been on the island.
-Boring conflict with the auditor.
In the blurb it says : “Together, Eli and Spencer must face down the biggest threat Bliss has ever faced-an auditor sent by Adrien's own son. But when the auditor turns less than professional, they'll find what they've needed all along: loyalty, family. and just a little bit of bliss ever after.” I was waiting for some shit to hit the fan with the auditor but that never came, she made offensive homophobic remarks and was super bitchy but that’s it. 🤷🏻‍♀️
-NO EPILOGUE
The characters are clearly smitten with each other and are living together but it has only been a month, I would’ve appreciated an epilogue at least a few more months out. 😒
-Too much sex
Now of course, like everything else, this is a personal pet peeve. I wanted to believe in the relationship and feel a connection but they got physically intimate on the second day? I think I’ve become a little desensitized to insta-lust since attraction is usually important to form connections but this story had a sexual interaction at almost every single scene the MCs were together so personally, it was lacking the emotional connection I like in my romance stories.

My ratings always reflect my enjoyment of the story.

While I really liked this book I didn't have the same overwhelming love for it as the two previous books in the series.

I'll review this better later when I've had some time to think through what worked and what didn't work.

Another pretty enjoyable entry in the series.

I liked Eli's and Spencer's story a little more than I did the other two books, somehow they had more chemistry, and the way they stood up to each other made for a more interesting dynamic. There was a hint of a enemies-to-lovers vibe that was not quite there, but which I wished was played out and explored more. Still, their easy chemistry and their contrasting personalities did bring enough interest to the general storyline.

The storyline involving the homophobic auditor did drive the story along, but I couldn't help thinking that she just came across as a cartoon villain most of the time, and her behaviour and actions were a little one-dimensional. Sure it did help to spice up the plot, but there could have been so much more that could be done with her, as annoying and hateful as she was. It just felt like a big missed opportunity.

Overall, still as nicely written, and quite breezily strung along. There is just something magical about Bliss that makes me want to revisit the island time and again. It might not be the most complex of stories, but it really is just that : uncomplicated, simple, but with the added lovely, sweet and romantic elements.

Nice Repast

This is a sumptuous feast of opposites attract but what makes this one special (other than it takes place at the increasingly attractive Bliss Resort) is that the pursuer is Eli, the big hunky chef and the pursued is Spencer, the small, but extremely sassy, accountant.

The premise is that Spencer has been hired as a permanent fixture at Bliss, but in reality to keep an eye on the outside auditor who has been sent in by the jealous son of the resort owner to find things he can use against his daddy. That the auditor is a high heeled woman who keeps coming across as Snow White's wicked stepmother (was there an apple somewhere?) is a cute at times distraction.

But the real distraction is the exceedingly hot and insta-lust-then-love pairing of Eli and Spencer. Each of the couples in this series have had their scorching moments but in the first two books they seemed more logical if a bit more circumspect at first. Not in this one.

The scene that kicks off this romance is out-of-the-park and totally unreal, but it works and so does the rest of the book. Delicious romp.

Another sweet, low angst, feel good romance in the series that made me smile.
Two wonderful main characters and a cast of side characters that make for a very engaging and enjoyable read.
Eli and Spencer are perfect for each other and heat things up in the beautiful island setting of Bliss.

Predictably good

No surprises here. Straight forward series about couples who come together hit it off and get to their HEA with a minimum of fuss. If your in the mood for a feel good read that'll put a smile on you face look no further.

Very sweet! This writing duo is getting a little more polished, and I like knowing I won't get unnecessary relationship drama with them.
