He leaned down, taking my chin in his hand, forcing me to look up into his blood-red eyes. His fangs were showing, dripping with the blood of my boyfriend who lay on the ground, lifeless."You are mine, Bast. You'd do well to remember that." He purred, as he licked the blood off his lips. "No other man make take your innocence, but me." he said, looking down at my nearly naked form, the lust in his eyes making me squirm."Yes, Damien." I whispered in response, covering myself in the sheet, and looking over at the body of Jacob with a whimper.______________________________________________My name is Bast, I'm seventeen years old, soon to be eighteen. I loved the main character, I loved watching her character develop into who she is now . She was so funny and sweet but also badass. Her relationship with Damien was amazing they just go together so well and they both brought out the best in each other.. I also really liked the side characters as well. SINCLAIR, need I say more lol. Can't wait to read the second book!!!!!

Excellent read but I wish the rest of the series was in suggestions when I finished the first book.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading adult fantasy novels. I intend on reading the rest of the series immediately.

Bast

I just finished reading book one The Devils bride and I truly enjoyed the book. It left me hanging on to the very end to see what happens to Bast and Damien. I would like to start book two to see if they get married or if Bast gets killed by her dad.

I call these kind of books my guilty pleasure. Though the story was great, the spelling wasn’t which I totally understand since this book was written by a young author that seems to have no editor. My Facebook showed me this book and I was excited when I had it available on kindle unlimited. The storyline is great and you never get bored. The author has a great imagination. Overall I’m happy with the book. Anyone know when the second one will come out?

This book is a poorly written rip off of my time

So this is what amounts or half a story which wouldn’t be a issue if you could actually get the rest of the story by buying a second book but nooo.

She literally wants you to go download some story app and pay for the rest of the story chapter by chapter .

I am used to authors making the rest of series more expensive but this isn’t that. She really expects you to go get the rest of the book off a paid story app .

To be clear - this is half a book , absolutely nothing that would resemble part 1 of a series and to finish reading the book you have to download a story app and pay per chapter !

I’ve never been as infuriated over some sneaky author shenanigans in my life .

Oh and the story ? It’s ok , not the best but it is a interesting story . A lot of errors like “ she took him from his father and looked into her bright eyes” characters referenced with one name when after looking at context you can figure out they meant someone else and parts where she repeated whole paragraphs ... things like that which really take you out of the story but that would have been doable because the story was actually interesting but to have the nerve to actually give me half of a poorly written story than to do that is just appalling .

I chose a 5 star rating, due to the fact I couldn't put it down, typically not my style of story, however kept me intrigued, Enough detail to not need pictures of anything, Wonderful adjectives !! Incredibly intense, suspenseful and a cant put down...must read Book!! THANK YOU KEY KIRITA

Sooooo Close

The story is good, but there were too many errors, and they interfered with enjoying it. Nevertheless I enjoyed it enough that I will continue with the series.

4.5 Stars!
Stellar read!
Let me start with saying that an advertisement on Facebook for a reading app really drew me in! I immediately downloaded the app and began reading this story. It was extremely hard for me to put it down in order to get some sleep. With that being said, I enjoyed the interesting story line, and was very surprised when things would happen. This story wasn’t easily predictable, so it kept me engrossed and in the edge of my seat from beginning to end. The relationship between Bast and Damien is extremely sweet, and everyone he would call her “My love” made my heart swoon.

There were some parts of Damien’s character that I didn’t immediately agree with, however he is a good guy! He never (willingly) put Bast in a situation to where she wasn’t comfortable. He made sure she knew that he wouldn’t push her on anything and encouraged her to make her own decisions, when she felt she was ready to. I really found this very relatable with him. However, I didn’t care for his first reaction when Bast told him that she wanted a family, as well as when they found out that their child might not be human. But quite quickly did Damien see Bast’s point of view on both things. He understood how he was looking at it in the aspect of the Vampire King, not as a soon to be husband and father. Which also made him extremely relatable, as people often say things in the heat of the moment.

Bast had it very rough in a lot of this story, but she never gave up. She is always very optimistic, but likes to be able to make her own decisions. She never thought she’d be able to love Damien, but quickly seen she was wrong as she spent more time with him and seen the kind of loving and understanding man that he is. She realized that he really truly does care for her, and has her best interest at heart.

I also fell in love with several of the secondary characters I.E. Sam, Sinclair (which I couldn’t stand at first, hello layers), Bartholomew, and even Samantha, she’s a true friend there!!

Now with the parts that I felt could be improved upon:
I wanted to see more of the backstory. We started when Bast was 12 and she first was sold to Damien. Then almost immediately jumped to 5 years later, I would have liked to have seen/read about how he protected and looked in on her for all that time (and even before that) for all of that time. I think it would have shown us more about the love that Damien had for Bastet. As well as I felt the story was unfinished. It seemed like it left off in the middle of a chapter, with nothing saying “To be continued” or anything like that. I know the author is in the process or reworking the story. But I’d still like to own the original as well as the reworked versions!

Read on Readict App
This was a wonderfully constructed story that had me hooked from the start. The characters were fleshed out quite well and I didn't feel overwhelmed with extra information that didn't have any bearing on the story or character arcs. POV changes were clear as the end of the previous chapter transitioned very well.

*I don't know if this app is more of a prep for publishing but there were a great deal of errors in spelling, grammar and, missing/repeated words. It simply made it a little bit of a stumbling. That's the only reason I had to drop a star.

I haven't been able to finish a book in quite a while so the fact that I stayed focused on this story and finished it in 3 days.

Is it best for you if I read on Amazon? Just wanted you to be able to get the most out of it!! Also when are these going to be in paperback?? Bc I’ve read thousands of books and you are definitely in the top 10!! You give great depth to the characters, you stay on track and there’s never a dull moment!! You have done a terrific job creating this world full of love, romance, fantasy and suspense; while delivering a great storyline with brave females leads and their gorgeously strong men that stand beside them!!! You deserve to have your stories out there and I look forward to the day your on the best sellers list(bc you will be if you continue)!! There’s so many books on that list that you already surpass!!! I can’t wait to continue reading more from you!!

Good series that needs completion

The book has a great story line but is unfinished. Instead of start a second book with a separate story line, aka "The Vampire's Kitten", this series needs to finish. Thus my rating of 4 instead of 5. There are also grammatical errors which I was surprised the book editing department didn't catch for their author. This author has promise and a great story line she needs to complete for this book and her series. Further, the pricing to purchase the incomplete work is too high as I would have considered purchasing the whole work and series otherwise.

Amazing

Everyone who loves romance would be in love with this book. Make you actually wonder if love like this actually exists in this world I truly wish it did. I find my self so into this authors books.I find it very hard to walk way to do any thing and instead of watching tv and trying to find anything worth watching I puck up this book and I find it to be so much more.fascinating then any tv show or any other books I have ever read I can't wait to see if the Author publishers more books I knew I will be waiting on the edge of my seat

Twilight fanfic that goes on way too long -- seriously, it's a maddenly long book -- and then ends with a cliffhanger. I would have liked it more had it ended much sooner. Instead, I ended up frustrated with the frequency of relationship problems and annoyed with the characters. I stuck it out hoping for a payoff that I didn't get. Occasional inconsistencies. Mediocre writing. Don't waste your time like I just did.

Great story

The story was solid and not so hard to follow given the amount of different species were introduced. The low rating was due to the authors style of writing to at times made it hard to follow and there were a lot of grammatical errors. At times you couldn't tell which character voice you were reading. Overall, I did enjoy the book

Good story

The story is great. There are some writing and grammatical errors, but nothing a good editing couldn't fix. There is also a lot of repeating or summarizing that would only be needed in a sequel to give background. Here, it gets a bit redundant. Overall, it is a great story with endless twists.

Seating arrangements really

At the beginning of the book got my attention, as I was reading it , it got boring when I got to the part of seating arrangements, whom cares about that. Not me. Besides the book cost way to much. I was really disappointed, I was expecting a great book.

Bloody dilemma

This was a pretty good dark romance to keep my mind busy during quarantine. At the beginning the details are a bit disturbing but it wouldn’t be a dark romance without it. Some grammatical errors but nothing major that takes away from the plot. There is a lot thrown at you once the protagonist grows with within her character so lots to take in. Would read again!

I can honestly say that this is one of the best written books I have read in a while. While I do not normally read vampire based books I was curious because of what some of my friends were talking about while they were discussing it. I all of a sudden found myself engrossed and sucked I to a magical world and didn't want it to end, I'm so glad that there are more that I can read!!! Thank you

enjoyable

If you enjoyed I am number 4, the mortal instruments, or twilight then this is the book for you. It does end on a cliffhanger but the other books are already available so you won’t have to wait long to grab the next book.

Yes it has some grammar errors but not to the extent you don’t understand what is going on.

Good book

Not a reader but found this interesting. Main character gets on my nerves as well as the lead vampire but the plot is really good. You get attached to the characters and there’s a bunch of different emotions in this book. Looking forward to the next one

Good plot, needs editing

The book has a good storyline. But, it needs proofreading, as there are so many mistakes. It skips around some and doesn't always explain things right away, backtracking later to fix it. Overall, it is a good book and I will be reading the sequel.
