Jasper FlorrazThere is nothing wrong with knowing what you want and laying your life down for a cause. Leading a third world country out of poverty is difficult enough but fighting those who value money over morality is outright dangerous. My one mistake is hiring Alysa LaHouse as everything was about to go down. Not only do I find her gorgeous blue eyes distracting, but she’s drawing unwanted attention from my enemies. If they figure out Alysa is more than just my economic advisor, then her life will be in danger too.I can’t protect everyone and there are tough decisions to be made. There is no way I can take Alysa out of the equation. Loving her is easy, letting her go impossible, but keeping her safe has become my top priority.
Jeannette grew up in a large family, number ten out of eleven children, eight of them being older brothers. She quickly developed a great sense of humor, mostly from necessity. One of her greatest joys is sitting on the porch where they were all raised and hearing the stories from years gone by. Quietly laughing to herself, she notices how they embellish the stories more and more each year.
Storytelling was passed down from her grandfather and mother. Jeannette caught the bug at a very young age. If she didn’t have her head in a book, then she was off somewhere with a notebook, jotting down stories of what she would write if one day she became an author. Although the notebook may have vanished, the stories are still vivid and waiting for the right time to be told.
Despite having an amazing family, there have also been some sorrows in her life, including the loss of loved ones. Over the years, Jeannette has spent countless hours volunteering for different organizations and acting as a caregiver to those dearest to her. As a result, supporting the elderly became of utmost importance.
As she approached a milestone birthday in 2015, she decided to take her passion for writing and blend it with her desire to continue to help others. As she writes her stories, she hopes they touch someone’s life. Within the layers of the romance, the foundation remains throughout and is one that is dear to her; make a difference in someone’s life each day!
In 2016 she met someone who encouraged her to push herself even further and try her hand at spicy intrigue. One year later she has four books in this new series and each one pushing her limits just a bit further.
Like the wind, Jeannette’s life changed directions several times over the years, yet one constant remains: her desire to leave this Earth a little better than when she entered it as she tries to live by these words, Make your mark on the world today as your acts of kindness is all anyone will remember in years to come!
Jasper and Alysa was a true team and didn't even know it. What was to be a simple assignment became much more tedious to not only the hearts but the members involved too.
James played his part but Alysa was the ultimate heroine in this book. The growth of a nation realized.
Jasper and Alysa’s story is one of true romance. I loved how Alysa never gave up her professionalism or revealed her true reason for being in Tabiq. Jeanette showed us that even those who are set against someone or something can learn and eventually change their mind. While it was difficult for Jasper, his attraction at first to Alysa than realizing he was growing to love her was my favorite part. I love it when strong men fall for true love. Mine for Twelve Weeks gives us plenty of love and romance, and true to Jeanette’s storytelling, suspense and some surprises along the way.
Jasper Florraz was all about doing what is right for the Tabiquian people it was his country after all. He didn't trust Americans, especially Henderson. He was blinded by the past and not what the new generation of Henderson was trying to do to build a stronger country. But when one ex-marine goes undercover to find out if he's good President material for the Tabiquian what he found instead is that four-letter word he never spoke of (Love). Could he fall in love with this woman. Let me say this series is so good that you Jeannette Winters just amazing
Perfect title for the book! Excellent story! I could not put it down. Every chapter explains the weekly time line and I love the details! It’s exciting and scary at the same time. I laughed and cried for the characters and couldn’t believe who ended up being the President of Tabiq! 5 Big Stars please!
I loved the plot and revisiting Tabiq. I really appreciated the characters and the connection. The only reason this is a four star instead of a five is that the book didn't pull me into the story. But very well done and very worth reading.
You won't believe who actually becomes president, and it definitely makes a lot of sense. As always, Great storyline and characters. I can just imagine how shocked Jasper was when he found out who Alysa really was. Great read.
Was it really 12 weeks? It seemed like 4. This book needs more chapters and the characters need lots more time to develop A relationship and more tension between them. Also the Henderson subplot needs to be more developed.
Another fabulous addition to this awesome series. Hot, intense chemistry between the characters with a well written storyline. Will love concur all. Definitely worth the read.
I loved Alyssa and Jasper's story! They were so meant to be together. Jasper fell hard and fast for Alyssa. Glad that the evil of Tabiq has been taken care of.
