I'm a Christian wife, mom, and dog lover. (Don't tell my two cats!) In my spare time, I love to read, volunteer with Meals on Wheels, crochet, and hike with my family. I'm a Virginia Tech graduate and an advocate for Type 1 Diabetes. My son was diagnosed with Type 1 in 2010.

As a writer, my goal is to create inspirational romance books that bring a smile to your face. They're clean, encouraging, and upbeat. If you like the idea of a traditional Hallmark movie with a strong touch of faith, then I bet you'll enjoy my books!

Fun Fact - I'm a former TV meteorologist and I met my husband when he was a meteorologist at the competing TV station. That's how I got the idea for Forecasting Christmas.

Forecasting Christmas is the first book I've read by Melody Locke. I totally got into from the start. Totally love it! Hailey a a meteorologist from Austin goes through some unexpected life changes and ends up in Holiday Falls, Vermont right before Christmas. Through a series of fun and unexpected events meets the competition, Kyle Calloway. Snowflakes fly. Can God heal her heart? I so loved the interaction between all the characters. Loved the feel. I could see this as a Hallmark movie, which I love. I look forward to reading more books by Melody Locke. Read, enjoy and be blessed.

When Hailey gets transferred to Vermont instead of promoted in Austin, she is more than angry, especially with God. But being a team player, she moves, does her job to the best of her abilities, and invests in all the Christmas activities the new city provides. Upon arrival, she meets Kyle, her grumpy competitor, and all of a sudden, he appears everywhere: at work, as her teammate for the gingerbread house competition, at the B&B. They have to learn to get along…
The characters were endearing, their emotions relatable. I appreciated that Hailey had such issues to forgive her mother, Kyle, and even God. It made her character especially appealing and human. And I would have loved to see a picture of the North Pole Observatory ☺. This is a sweet Christmas story, perfect to get into the mood of the season. Enjoy!

Hailey is a medorologist and a good one working for a TV station in Austin, Texas. When her TV station was sold to another company she is transferred to a TV station in Holiday Falls, Vermont. Upon her arrival she meets Kyle who is a medorologist for a competing station. They are rivals but must work together for on a project for a Christmas charity for Holiday Falls. As they work together and get to know each other they become friends and then more. But just as things are working out romantically for Hailey and Kyle Hailey is contacted by her former employer to come back to Texas with a much sought after promotion. Will she return to Texas or stay in Holiday Falls? This is a great book by Melody Locke with a wonderful story line with interesting and well developed characters. I received a ARC and this is my honest and voluntary review.

This was such a great book. I enjoyed it very much. Hailey and Kyle are meteorologist. She received bad news from her boss and it crushed her hopes of moving up in the corporation. She meets Kyle, but does not know who or what he does. Can two meteorologists fall in love or will they fight to see who is the best at their job?

If you find yourself wondering “Why me?” when you get an obstacle in your path, this delightful Christmas read will remind you that sometimes what you think is a detour is simply a redirection to your true path. I loved the internal struggles of the characters as they try to carve out their own paths. After all the challenges of this past year, I think that readers who need a pick me up should grab hold of this book.

This is a sweet clean romance about a girl who thought she was about to achieve her goals when all she worked for was pulled out from beneath her. She landed in a small town far away from what she wanted but in the end she found that God had given her what she really needed. This is not my usual genre, but I throughly enjoyed this story. I highly recommend this book and will be looking for more stories by this author.

This is a first from this author but she really knows how to pull people into her stories as this is apart of an anthology I am going to look into purchasing it so I can read more of the story of Hailey and Ryan. Well written and the characters are strong family oriented.

Because this book was about meteorologists, I was a bit worried that the plot was going to be superficial. But that was not the case at all. Hailey does not think it is fair that her news station sent her up to Vermont to do the weather there. Kyle Calloway is the rival weatherman. He sticks around town to support his mom and his sister after the loss of their husbands. He wants to be there for his nephew. When Hailey ends up staying at his family's bed and breakfast, sparks fly. Can they both let go of their expectations and assumptions?

This is the first book that I read by this author. I would definitely read additional titles.

Such a fun read!

Can a big city Texas weather girl fall in love with a small town weather man? Can she bear to make a life in small town Vermont - really, a step down - when what she wanted was to make her way up the ladder? A forced move, middle of the night kisses and misunderstandings turn Hailey's world askew. Can things be set right before it's too late? Find out when you read this fun and inspiring Christmas story!

Great story, even better message. I’ve been wanting to read this one all season and finally AFTER Christmas I was able to find the time. No matter, it’s a winter book for sure and a sweet one too. Great read.

Miracles Can Happen

I admit, I have a weakness for happy endings. This time the journey to get to that ending was full of twists and turns. What I did not like was the sometimes immature actions of the female main character. The incident with the muffins is a prime example. I would expect a spoiled child to take back her gift, not a professional. What I did enjoy was the level of detail lavished on the settings. It slowed the action, but it enriched the 'visual' experience. The writer has potential in the sweet and simple type of story. I look forward to seeing her again on the Christmas Romance venue.
