Mountains of Trouble is based on the life of a common woman embroiled in extraordinary circumstances. Cora becomes caught in a nest of trouble she didn't create and can't seem to escape. As pain seems to follow her at every turn, she wonders if God has abandoned her. She is haunted by past decisions that threaten to keep her heart caged. But Cora never gives up searching and hoping. Her story is one of courage and resilience that will resonate with today's readers.

Fantastic Book

A very compelling story, beautifully told. I couldn't put it down!

The story did not move down the path I had imagined. I expected a tough life but really had no idea how hard it would be for Cora. It was worth the read and to be reminded that forgiveness matters deeply to our own well being.

Wonderful book

I purchased this book after talking with Clare's family member unknowingly! I gave her a book to read and she told me about Mountains of Trouble! We have spent the last week conversing over the books.
Mountains of Trouble is a wonderfully written book about Cora and her hard life! The way Claire wrote the "slang" was fun to read! What was even better was it was about Iowa my home state!
If your looking for a good can't pit the book down read may I suggest Mountains of Trouble!
