I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

McKenzie has spent the past year crushing on her twin brothers best friend and their neighbour Landon. Going to a party is the very last thing that she wanted to do but when she heard that Landon was going she readily agreed. Could tonight be the night that he finally sees her or are they destined to just be a daydream?

Landon was hooked the day that McKenzie and her twin brother Jackson moved in next door. The universe created her just for him but he complicated everything when he and Jackson became best friends and as much as he should be following the bro code he knows that there is no way he will ever give McKenzie up, it’s time to stake his claim and tonight is his night to do just that. Will he finally have the woman who completes him in his arms and his bed?

This was a new author for me and she certainly isn’t afraid to create books literally melting my kindle. This was actually an adorable book with McKenzie and Landon giving in to their destiny, oh and it’s seriously hot. Enjoyable, safe and did I mention hot little read. 4 can’t wait to read more *

This was my first book by Ms. Lena and I am hooked. I loved Landon and McKenzie's story. This was a fantastic short yet steamy DV that will leave you hot yet swooning. I loved the connection and the chemistry between Landon and McKenzie. I cant' wait to read some more of Ms. Lena's books. I would recommend this book!

For a short spicy read, this hit the spot!!!!

Hero was OTT J/P for the heroine. This is a brother’s friend falls for sister type book but with a little twist. Hero’s need for the heroine is what started him talking to her brother in the first place.

HERO - Landon. High school student. Tall and muscular with short hair.

HEROINE - McKenzie. High school student. Long dark hair and light blue eyes. Has a twin brother.

OVERALL THOUGHTS - The blurb is really vague so let me expand on it a little: this is a high school romance between Landon and McKenzie. Landon’s had a crush on her since he first saw her when her family moved in, I assume, next door a year ago. It’s not clear why, but he decided to befriend her twin brother to get closer to her. He and the brother ended up actual friends, but I don’t understand why he didn’t just pursue her from the get-go. Especially since we learn that McKenzie’s felt the same way.

There’s no real character development which left me feeling disconnected from both of them, and no real relationship development which left me feeling kind of meh about them as a couple. We’re told that they talk about anything and everything, so I guess we’re supposed to take that as they’re compatible with one another. Personally, I need to actually experience these “getting to know you” conversations in order to feel the chemistry. Sure, there’s lust between them, but if I’m going to believe in their HEA, I need more than that.

I do appreciate them being each other’s one and only and that there is an HEA...I just wish I actually believed in it.

Good story. I'm loving these possessive, non manho alpha's that this author writes. No one existed except for the h in his eyes and I can't express how much I enjoy reading that. Dual POV, dual virgins, no abuse, epilogues at 7 years and another year later. Can't wait for more stories just like this.

Mackenzie and Landon

Another fantastic read packed with sexual tension between two friends. Landon has been in love with Mackenzie since she had moved next door a year ago. When an unexpected night out unravel and they confess their feelings fireworks explode in a night full of loving. Highly recommended

This is the first story that I’ve read by this Author and I’m glad that I gave it a chance. I liked this story of instalove that is given a year to grow while neither character knows that their feelings are reciprocated. It was entertaining and enjoyable while also being a bit steamy. The characters were likable. Although they were young, I loved their happy ever after especially given the choices they made. They made me feel proud of them because of the things they chose to do. I recommend reading this book.

OMG! I love reading Lena Lucas books! Landon has loved and been obsessed with McKenzie since her family moved in next door. He befriended her brother to get close to her and kept all guys away from her. Time is up and he’s ready to make her his. I can’t wait for her next book! Worth the read!

This book is about an alpha man, obsessed in his love for his friend’s sister. He is going to claim her and make her his.

This to me is one of those perfect books. It has the possessive man that wants to protect her, it has the emotional love and it has the super sexy dirty long scene. I love the dirty talk and that there is no past ex drama. Hot book that I’ve already re-read. Definitely recommend. Want to read more like this.

This was a fantastic read about young love. Landon had been in love and obsessed with McKenzie since first seeing her, even befriending her brother to get closer to her. I adored the obsessive way Landon was around her and it all came to a head at a party they were attending. After some alpha growl worthy moments, Landon was able to get her away from others to show her how he really felt all along. This was super hot, super fast and just the way I like it. This author is relatively new to me but I after this will one-click for sure!

A claiming moment between brother's bestfriend and the sister. The story was short and fast paced but filled with steamy lusty scenes from the beginning till the end. Not much of a drama and both MCs were circling around each other for some time. A young love, both still in college.

This is the 3rd book I've read written by Lena Lucas; she has done a great job at writing a good short story; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
