TO BE CLEAR: Proclaiming the Gospel in a Post-Truth World

Rate this book
Post-truth is not a flash-in-the-pan political sound bite or temporary fad in the pop culture language of the day. It is the basis of the world we live in daily. It is the way reality is perceived and presented now and for the foreseeable future. It is the foundation from which ideas, concepts, philosophies, policies, rules, laws, and behavior are shaped and demonstrated in our modern society. It is the ever-increasing modus operandi of our American mentality and behavior in almost everything of importance in which we are engaged. This book is an analysis of just how insidious post-truth is as a basis and methodology that is rapidly taking control of several of the most prominent and vital fields that guide our societal development and function. We will offer a critique of its consequential damaging effects, especially when it comes to the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I purchased this while on a worship retreat and it consumed all of my reading time. Very informative and not too scholarly to give an introduction to the digression of God's creation away from their Creator into reliance on self-intellect.
As a fellow alma mater graduate and spouse of a Biblical Worldview teacher, much of this content is already dinner conversation in our home with our teenagers. This book helps bring sense to what looks senseless in today's society.
Highly recommend for the Christ-follower who desires to understand his/her audience for the Gospel.
