Caught Between Two Blue Aliens

Rate this book
It was just supposed to be a job—a well-paying job, but just a job. And it is… until it isn’t and suddenly Jenna’s facing two blue aliens who want her to leave Earth behind… forever. Da fuq was in that wine?

Jenna is working her butt off at three different jobs in order to provide for her younger siblings. And tonight’s high-profile catering gig (hazard pay bay-bee!) at Drokten Main is going to give her not only dollahz, but also the perfect opportunity to check out the shirtless blue alien heroes who saved Earth from near destruction. Whoo Hoo!

At the party, she overhears a crazy plot to destroy the Drokten and kick them off the planet. Holy crap! And the next thing she knows she’s standing in front of the Commander of the entire Drokten fleet, as well as the Drokten Ambassador, trying to warn them both of the eminent threat to their safety. And just like that they want her on their battleship and in their bed. Both of them. Together.

W…what? Uh…no? Yes? NO. No matter how hot they are, the answer is no. Right?

Being an alien booty call—no matter how hot the males are—isn’t on Jenna’s to do list. Plus, she can’t leave her siblings behind! But darn it, these guys should be in sales, because they’re so freaking persuasive. And every time they hold her in their possessive embrace, pressed between their hard bodies…well, her heart goes pitter-patter and her body lights on fire.

How is a girl supposed to say no? But, on the other hand, how can she say yes when the lives of her brother and sister are at stake?

Caught Between Two Blue Aliens is part of the In The Stars Romance by Celia Kyle and Michele Mills.

Two sexy blue aliens, what more could a girl want?

The story fell short. The conflict could have been resolved with a conversation. The authors added unnecessary stress to the story. It's a predictable read.

Jenna, our heroine, didn't win me over. She frustrated me to known end. The two blue hero’s I enjoyed. What they did for Jenna's siblings was sweet and thoughtful. The characters aren't deep and have no growth. The aliens of course have their quirks (because, duh, they’re aliens).

Caught Between Two Blue Aliens wasn’t a great story. I went in with high hopes, but it didn’t work and wasn’t the book for me. If you're looking for an auto pilot read, then this is for you.

Man II wanted this to work

The only thing better than a big blue alien is two big blue aliens. So I went into this with high hopes but the story falls kind of short. The main conflict could be resolved with one conversation that would actually fit because the heroine begins with being honest with the heroes. Also, I had to giggle every time the guys called her their Oso, since that means bear in Spanish and I could then only picture them snuggling a teddy bear. 🤷🏻‍♀️ oh well.

The writing and editing of the ARC version of the manuscript was clean, with no typos that I found and well constructed sentences. The world building of the alien culture was vivid. The characterization was well done, with the heroine and two heroes being sympathetic individuals with strengths and weaknesses. The development of the romantic relationship was organic. I would rate the heat level at about two chili peppers. The plot and pacing were tight and exciting, meaning that I read this novel in one sitting. There was a medium amount of tiresome angst and high stakes in this romance. I enjoyed the high stakes, but I did not especially enjoy the unjustified angst. This novel used the Fated Mates trope, the Cultural Misunderstandings trope, and the Partner in Trouble trope. The world building, plot, and pacing were all four stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship were both four stars. I therefore gave this novel a combined rating of four stars. This novel ended on a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger ending, so that was a big plus. I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy sweet romances with pointed social commentary on our patriarchal society. I would love it if the two authors turned this into a series. I will buy myself a keeper copy of this novel.

Jenna has two younger siblings to care for after her parents were killed two years ago. She works two day jobs as a waitress, and picks up other work when she can. While staffing a fancy party at Drokten Main, the Drokten outpost on Earth, she overhears a plot against the Drokten, and approaches the Ambassador, Hiren and the Commander, Sevith to warn them. Sevith and Hiren have a bond as Azi and Bahn, and when they see Jenna, there is an instant connection. They know she is their Oso, or mate. The Drokten mate in pairs.
The following day, they find her, and she is mistrustful. She is not treated particularly well by the men she encounters. Sevith and Hiren want to protect her. They need her to complete their triad. When they tell her she is their mate, she is even more wary. Little by little, once they prove they are willing to not separate her from her brother and sister, she lets them in, until she decides to commit to them.
When she is blackmailed by the Earth's Ambassador, she is torn. She has to keep her siblings safe, and wants to follow her heart at the same time.
The story happens at a fast pace, over just a few days. It held my interest, and I read it in one sitting. When they show her the technology they have on their battleship, and claim her there, it is truly beautiful. The imaginations of the writers is a sight to behold.

So, Caught Between Two Blue Aliens was like grabbing a bag of popcorn for a movie you’ve already seen but still enjoy because it doesn’t ask too much of you. It’s simple, fluffy, and predictable—exactly what you’d expect from the title.

The plot? Well, it’s there! Girl meets alien. Then another alien. There’s some tension, a love triangle that’s more like a love wiggle, and a resolution you can see coming from page five. It’s not groundbreaking, but it doesn’t have to be. It’s easy to follow, like floating on autopilot through space.

The characters are fun but not deep. The aliens have their quirks (because, duh, they’re aliens), and the heroine is relatable enough to keep you turning pages. It’s one of those books you read when you want your brain to take a break and just coast for a bit.

If you’re in the mood for something light and don’t mind knowing how it ends before it even begins, this one’s for you. Perfect for a lazy afternoon or when you’re procrastinating doing literally anything else.

This was a sweet book. Jenna was such a deserving person really just struggling to do her best for herself and her siblings, and Sevith and Hiren are just the Azi/Bahn pairing for her. Protective, loving, and kind, how could they have been better?

Oh my! I absolutely loved Jenna, Sevith and Hiren! They make a perfect romantic triad. They all meet when Jenna is waitressing at a catering event, she is very intrigued by the sexy blue aliens that helped save humans. She overhears a plan/plotting bring harm to the aliens, so she does the right thing and tells them. Sevith is surprised when he and his beta find out this brave female human is their oso. The story is so great it held my interest and I read it in one sitting! The drama, romance and having 2 males ready to love and protect the female lead made this story a page turner!

2.5 rounded up to 3 because it wasn’t ridiculously short.
I initially wasn’t going to write anything but then I always forget to review and I end up picking the same authors later on and I continuously dislike their books. I tend to round to 3 so a 3.5 is also a 3 hence the confusion.
So about this book. There is no description about the aliens physically. They’re basically blue and tall, boring. I’m so tired of the blue guys. You’re a writer, be original, imagine what an alien would look like then make him hot, not imagine a hot guy then make him blue so he’s an alien.
So lack of originality aside, the female lead was super annoying, always whining about it being her decision and not explaining why she wouldn’t t want to leave with them.
First, you signed a contract, you should have read it, suck it up and go to the spaceship.
Second, since they’re soooo into you and will do anything how about telling them you’re responsible for your siblings and one of them is sick. Guess what? They’ll probably help you out with that.
And lastly if you’re so independent, be independent. Don’t just say it, accept their help then complain about wanting to make your own decisions, then accept their help again.
And the sex only happens at the end so I was already super annoyed and didn’t care for it at all.

This is a wonderful read totally riveting
Jenna has been taking care of her siblings for years ever since the sudden death of her parents she is working numerous joss simply to put food on the table and a roof over their heads. After hearing a proposed attack on the Drokten she decides to report it and discovers an instant connection between two aliens she has been speaking with.
Sevith and Hiren want to help her but she is untrusting as she has not been treated well by men and as her siblings are all important she will do whatever she can to keep them safe, once they start to gain her trust and she recognises that they are trying to assist her she begins to let them in and begins to consider committing to the two of them.
Then she finds herself being blackmailed by the Earths Ambassador and she is scared for her siblings, she has to keep them safe but he has followed her to earth and she is threatened.
This was a wonderful story that you will enjoy reading, the plot and the characters are so well written and you will be like me and read this book in one sitting.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

An excellent way to spend a few hours! I loved this alien/human cooperative scenario. The characters were pretty focused on their own lanes in life, not expecting to make a love connection, but Jenna was a fan of the blue alien heroes. Then there is always that one slime ball politician that is out to ruin everything with their hate-filled mechanizations and you really hope they don't win. Jenna has a lot on her plate, taking care of her orphaned siblings and working so many jobs just to get by, she's desperate just to pay the rent on time. Seveth and Hiren are both strong alien characters, even if they are a little flat, well, they aren't human after all, are they, lol? I loved the emotional twists in the story, and I got mad at the evil plot and the misogyny, like that was a lot of negativity to have to live through, but I was happy with the way the story ended, even though I wasn't a fan of the epilogue, but maybe I'm just showing my age, it just isn't my thing. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series, I really hope there's another book in this series!

Her side hustle
What an amazing story! The characters are fantastic and I love the emotional depth that the authors were able to achieve between these three. I enjoyed every moment of them trying to make their way in a world where cultures clashed and patience and understanding was of the utmost importance. Once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down until the very end. The authors kept the story moving with intrigue and blackmail, making for a wild ride to the HEA these three never thought they would find. I really hope that these two authors bring us more books from the blue warriors. I would love to see Jenna's best friend find her HEA, maybe to that communication duo, hint hint. But no matter what these authors write next, individually or as a writing team, it is sure to be a hit.

I’ll start by saying Menage is not generally my thing but I really enjoy both these authors’ writing styles so thought I’d give it a whirl.

I really enjoyed all the characters, especially the female lead’s siblings. They were adorable and such a key part of the plot. The cultural challenges the lead characters negotiated were clearly shown and the methods of engagement were consistent with the characters’ personalities. I really enjoyed their interactions and the character development.

The story is written from the three main characters’ points of view, well written and edited, and I enjoyed it more than I expected.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This book is about how Jenna, Sevith and Hiren met and fell in love. She is busy supporting her family. While working a catering event, she finds herself in a position to help the Droktens on Earth. She had no idea that she was fixing to meet two large, sexy, blue aliens that both claim her as their mate. I thought these three had great chemistry, but Sevith and Hiren have convince Jenna that they accept her and her family. They are mates and will care for and love her. I am hoping for more Droktens stories

Wow this story is great until is not...

Everything was great and then the author had to go ruin it with the whole "You are grounded!"
Also why would the connection between them suddenly not revile more of that Jenna experienced with the aide???

Loved the story up until then!

The binding "ceremony"..wow..that really fell flat in its face..
"When we become one"
How is that becoming one?!
More "when we have mixed our sperm in you"

I will still give it a 3 star due to the great story.

I normally adore Celia Kyle’s work but this was well below average and mind numbingly boring. Must be the poor influence of Michele Mills. The alien males are wonderful and go above and beyond to woo their very reluctant mate. Unfortunately they’re lumbered with a woman who is exasperating, asinine and too stupid to live. I made it to chapter 13 before I couldn’t take it anymore. Unable to finish.

This is an OK sci-fi alien romance, and I liked the two alien guys, but the h got irritating. I also thought the story was a little too long, which surprised me. I normally prefer longer stories, as I don't think novellas allow enough time for good character development. But in this story, it seemed like the plot was a little too drawn out, just to add more angst to the story. This one gets 3.5 stars from me, rounded down to 3 stars.

I liked the two alien guys a lot, and thought it was cute how they misunderstood human culture. They did make a few mistakes because of that, but they were sweet to try to correct them as soon as they realized it. I liked that they were willing to do anything to keep their mate happy, even if they didn't really understand why it was necessary. I especially liked that they were willing to take responsibility for her two young siblings.

The h's decision to hide something from the two guys near the end was just stupid. I get that she was afraid, but why did she think she couldn't tell them? They would have done anything to solve the problem, and she knew that. Even her best friend and sister figured that out -- but she just couldn't see it.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

Jenna has had a rough life. Her parents were killed a few years ago during the alien invasion leaving her in charge of her younger brother and sister. Her brother is very sick and need regular breathing treatments to survive which is very expensive. Jenna has to work 3 jobs just to try to stay afloat. Then she gets a chance to waitress for a party for the alien saviors Drokten and important humans. The bonus pay for working near the Drokten is too tempting so she signs the contract without reading carefully. During her duties she overhears on of the Earth's VIP plotting to trick and drive away the Drokten. Jenna decides that she must warn the Drokten of the threat so she approaches the two most important Drokten there.

Sevith is the Commander of the Drokten ship and Hiren is the Ambassador. The Drokten protected Earth from the evil aliens that invaded it and still provide protection. Their agreement with Earth is to provide protection in return for access to willing human women to help rebuild their species. The Drokten men are paired early in adulthood and form a special bond. They then start to look for their oso, the female third of their triad. Humans are somewhat turned off by the idea of mating with 2 male aliens. Sevith and Hiren have had no luck finding their oso until the agree to go to the special party the humans are throwing. They are very surprised when one human woman seeks them out and their bodies react. This woman is their oso. However Jenna has some surprising news about the Drokten being plotted against. Before they can find out more and claim their oso, the human liaison tries to take Jenna away and hide any evidence of his misdeeds. Jenna is able to escape but Sevith and Hiren are not about to let her go.

Waitress Jenna is struggling (even though she has three jobs) to keep herself and her two younger siblings safe and with a roof over their heads while paying for expensive medical treatment for the youngest who has a lung condition. So she took a well-paying job for one night at Drokten Main to dish out drinks and canapes. At the party, she overheard a plot to destroy the Drokten and kick them off the planet - which seems very wrong to her as they saved the planet from near destruction. So she ignores protocol and walks up to the blue aliens to warn them finding herself in front of the Commander of the entire Drokten fleet, as well as the Drokten Ambassador. She soon finds herself sandwiched between them where they tell her that she has to return to their ship and be with them. Determined to not be an alien one-night stand as well as conscious of her obligations to her siblings she slips away from them and returns home. However, they are determined to find the woman who is their mate and destined to complete their triad. Can they find her, accept her brother and sister, sort out the threat to the Draken presence on Earth and persuade her that she belongs with them on their spaceship and then planet?

I liked the plot of the story which was a good alien/human mate story and the way that they incorporated her siblings into their plans which were done with total care for her. I found the style of writing a little strange at times as it was a bit too chatty and casual in places. There were definitely times when I would have happily given her a little shake. The main thing is that there was a HEA in the end and I was very pleased with how it played out. Contains some explicit sexual content.

This was quite the cute little menage story. Jenna is raising her brother and sister after an alien invasion ripped their family apart. Luckily, the Droktin came to Earth's rescue and all they want in return is permission to look for mates among the populace. Jenna has admired the Droktin, their exotic blue skin color, their society, everything. She just doesn't have much call to be around them since she has to work three jobs to keep her family from starving. When a serving job drops in her lap and it will be at a party for the Droktin commander and the ambassador, she jumps at the chance to make some serious cash and see the aliens up close. She overhears a plot to destroy human relations with their saviors, she has to speak up. Doing so brings her face to face with the most powerful Droktin on Earth. Sevith's seriousness is balanced out by Hiren's charm and both of them suddenly want Jenna. How can she choose to follow her heart's desire when she has responsibilities? Sevith and Hiren are determined to win her over and set out to show Jenna how important she is to them. I have to say that these two blue aliens are so sweet and focused on Jenna, how can I not like them. The fated mate aspect was very well done as was Jenna's determination to keep her brother and sister with her no matter what the cost. I couldn't put this down, I was tempted to call in sick to finish it. Just a delightful read!

Good basic story plot, but…

The h was pretty idiotic. She had a moment of bravery in the beginning and she obviously loved and worked hard at taking care of her family, but most of the story I was frustrated with her character. That she didn’t read the contract before signing was bad enough, (I could have respected if she read it and ignored what was in it because she was desperate for money, but not reading it was just dumb), then she refused to listen to the H’s when they tried to explain what they wanted and promptly rejected them without telling them precisely why she needed those jobs. Then when the Senator threatened her, she actually lied, covering for the bad guys, and didn’t immediately tell her men when they could have promptly and easily made the threats a non-issue by taking her and her siblings to their ship where they’d all be safe. It’s not like they hadn’t already told her they’d be taking her and her family off world after they were official and she wanted to be with them. Where was all the bravery she had when she first informed them of trouble at the party? Gone like it never existed. I liked the guys a lot, but more than once I wanted to smack the h upside the back of her head for being self-centered, stubborn to the point of stupidity and definitely lacking in any critical thinking skills.

Caught Between Two Blue Aliens by Celia Kyle and Michele Mills was an absolute joy and pleasure to read!

Jenna is a sweetheart, charming, loving, caring, loyal, always trying to do the right thing, the best thing, but perhaps not always thinking through her actions before committing to them, an endearing trait to read about!

Sevith is delicious! Stoic, strong, loyal, always battle ready, and I loved watching him constantly be ready to throw down however needed. It was hot!

Hiren is such a charmer! Caring, understanding, insightful, yet also fiercely protective and loyal.

And Noah and Bea are priceless, and I loved their contribution as secondary characters, how they are all that is good and right in this world and the universe, all love and trust and faith and innocence.

I adore how this story is all sci fi and aliens but also all humanity and trust and honor and loyalty and the power and importance of family and love. True, honest, communication, in the face of danger and miscommunication and misconstrued intentions makes this one delicious journey full of chemistry and twists and turns, and I loved every single second of it! So, what are you waiting for? I know you'll love it too!

The Drokten warrior race saved the earth from an invasion by their mutual enemies the Zignills. The only thing they asked in return was for the chance for their warrior pairs to search the earth for their third, the woman to complete their triad. No big deal, right? Not for Jenna, who was just trying to earn extra dollahz to help take care of her family. Hiren and Sevith have just decided they are ready to slow down and look for their third, when while at a boring diplomatic party, there she is. Fate works in wonderous and mysterious ways!
The story of how they reach their happily ever after includes drama, espionage, betrayal, and an a**hole politician with an evil plan. The story is told with typical Celia humor and heat, Jenna and her inner thoughts that keep ending up out of her mouth had me laughing out loud. Hiren and Sevith will make you reconsider the idea of two husbands! This was a really great twist to the Azi (alpha), Bahn (beta), and Oso (omega) dynamic. It was really well written with developed characters, a great plot, and a beautiful relationship. I would highly recommend if you are looking for sweet romance with lots of heat!

Loved this alien romance

No plot spoilers
No potential triggers
I have heard far too many people whine about this genre, book snobs mostly who read the latest releases from someone else's made up list of what everyone else should be reading. It's like the proverbial small minded village and if there's one thing I won't tolerate, it's someone telling me what to think and read.
Don't get me wrong, there are some absolutely dreadful books in this genre out there - THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!
I loved the characterisation, very well drawn. The storyline was engaging and often littered with humour. Yeah, it was a bit cheesy at times but I read a book to be entertained and this book certainly delivered on entertainment value. It always makes me cringe when these books try to introduce a made up alien word for swear words and the authors have avoided that nicely.
There are a few editorial errors but not enough to detract from the storyline.
There are some sex scenes each of them appropriate and loving.
I would purchase more by these authors.

I don't know how two authors can craft a story so well. I mean, I myself can never agree on the details to my own (in my mind) fairy tales, LOL. But Michele Mills and Celia Kyle both managed to make this book work and flow wonderfully. I love that even though there was instant attraction, the love was allowed to blossom throughout the whole story. I like that Jenna didn't just jumped right in and went with the flow. She thought about how those she loved and had a responsibility to, would be affected by the issue at hand and making the tough decision to sacrifice her chances at love. I enjoyed how balance Sevith and Hiren are, that whenever one of them (mainly Sevith, LOL) are in such need of Jenna, the other (usually Hiren) brings them back into focus. They try to understand Jenna's POV, even when it frustrates the heck out of them.

Just when I think I've had enough of blue aliens, another story come along and I'm reading it no matter what. Another great addition to add to your blue loving alien. You won't be disappointed.
