A person can never get too far from God and His plan and purpose for their life that they can't get back to Him and have a fresh start. There is always a way forward that will prevent a person's current circumstances from having the final say in life. God has a plan for a comeback. It's never too late for Him, no matter what kind of challenge an individual is facing.

Adapted from material previously published in The Comeback, Louie Giglio addresses the feelings we all have from time to time that life is disappointing and not working out as we'd hoped. We long for something different, something better, something more. Never Too Far celebrates new beginnings. It offers readers encouragement and perspective, and it's for those who feel frustrated or confused; sorrowing or in pain; have made mistakes; are grieving; disappointed; or feel as though life doesn't make sense. Readers will experience the good news that God is in the business of giving fresh starts to people. He gives hope to the hopeless. Direction to the directionless. Help to those who need help. God is always good, all the time, and God's plans will always prevail, even when personal plans don't. God already knows what the solutions are. No matter what kind of disappointment or grief or pain or trouble or heartache a person may encounter, God always offers a new beginning, a change of heart, or a powerful spiritual turnaround. Here is an invitation to accept God's offer of a way forward and discovering that his pathways are always good.

Great book about how whatever comes our way God can handle and turn it into something beautiful. He’s working even when you don’t see something and is doing something great in your life. No matter what your fears are, doubts, struggles, God can use them. Highly recommend.

I debated whether to give this book four or five stars, but I settled on five because while it may not be profound or full of deep theology. It is well written, deeply rooted in the Bible, and it brought me so much hope and peace during a time of not knowing! This is a very good and easy read for people just getting into their faith! The author does a great job of thoroughly explaining all biblical passages and stories so no prior deep understanding of the Bible is necessary to get something from this book!

Compré este libro sin saber que el autor era pastor de una iglesia en USA. Por supuesto que no esperaba que el contenido estuviera basado en lecturas bíblicas 😂 pero como católica, la verdad me gustó mucho la forma en la que narran algunas de las lecturas más conocidas de la Biblia (viejo y nuevo testamento) y luego comparten anécdotas personales para aterrizar la enseñanza bíblica.
Si bien la respuesta a todo en el libro es Jesús, me hubiera gustado leer algunas otras acciones que tomaron para superar las dificultades.
Cómo sea, es una lectura rápida y sencilla, muy amena, en especial si eres creyente.

This great little book is the perfect read for anyone in need of a comeback. Through stories of people in various struggles from the Bible and from Giglio's life and relationships, this book shows us that we are never to far from God for Him to meet us in the area of our deepest need. The book shows God as He is, a good God and loving Father who cares deeply for us, His children. Culminating in the ultimate comeback, the resurrection of Christ, Giglio's message is simple. God's got this, and He will help you to overcome. I thoroughly enjoyed this immensely encouraging book.

As we grow in our relationship with God, I know o cam forget about the simple, aspects of God that we forget. Louie does an excellent job writing about Christ’s ultimate gift to us which is bringing us out of our death into His life. There is nothing we have done, gone through or will do that will push God away fro us and not have Him call us back to Him.

Si vas empezando a conocer el Evangelio, es un excelente libro para iniciar, conocer a Dios y saber cómo está contigo. Me encantan siempre las historias personales para empatizar y aumentar mas la confianza en tiempos difíciles. La manera en cómo lo escribe me agradó, aunque el que tenga secciones con títulos, le da un plus, así pude marcarlo y buscar cosas específicas.

In the chaos of camp, it’s hard for me to really focus on a book… so this was the ideal read because of it’s simplicity and mixture of personal stories and breakdown of biblical stories that work together to encourage! It’s easy to understand and portrays the simple gospel.

We will all go through various trials in life. What we need to realize is that no matter the storm , God controls the winds. Author goes through some shirt but sweet points about overcoming. We need only trust God.

A good message with Louie providing commentary on key “comeback” stories. The book covers some of a recent Passion sermon (Jan-2022). Not overly deep, but a good reminder of being a new creation/saint in Christ.

Comforting. Life will contain challenges, disappointments and pain, but ultimately they pale in comparison to the great hope of eternal life that believers in Jesus can have. Besides, God can bring anyone back from these in this life.
