I'm the adopted daughter of Maxum, the Preacher, Former Prez of the Midnight Saints. Only, I'm not welcome on their turf.
I'm different, a good girl, a shining star in my father's eyes since his biological daughter turned on him. Though now, both of us need her help.
I didn't believe it til I saw him; he has lost his mind with drugs. Violence and money rule his thoughts. I want him in rehab and then back in the Lord's house. But trusting Kara was a bad idea.
She wants him dead.
But there's one man in this place I might be able to confide in to help me and keep me safe among criminals - a MC man who just doesn't fit in either.
Jed
I'm the pretty boy, rich and not like the others. I chose this life and it didn't choose me. But, it was my money that saved the club when Maxum left.
And now, it'll be up to me to save Sophie.
Even though I know she's crazy for thinking Maxum is redeemable, I want to shield her from the truth. Instantly feeling protective of her.
The first night we spend together, the feeling only grows stronger, driving me even crazier.
But how can we be together when she hates the MC life, and I refuse to let it go?
I have been writing since I was just 4 years old, starting with poetry and short stories. Writing has always been in my blood, and I began writing as a professional in marketing and ghostwriting almost 7 years ago. After writing thousands of things for others, I decided it was time to share my own things with the world. I hope to start doing this full time and be at least somewhat of a success.
Hinder is another suspenseful drama filled story by Iris Sweetwater in the Midnights Saints MC Series. The story starts with the Midnight Saints MC having to deal with the drama and danger as Maxum is still causing problems for the club. Maxum's daughter Sophie believes in him when he asks her for help, the problem is Sophie is so blinded by her hatred for her sister Kara and the Midnight Saints MC that she will not believe he was capable of the crimes he committed. Now she has no choice but to ask Kara to help get him into rehab. Kara and Sophie have a toxic relationship, but Kara has other plans for her father so she tells Sophie to bring him to the clubhouse so they can help with his drug problem. Sophie has no choice but to wait at the clubhouse hoping to see her father as she still refuses to believe he is evil. But Kara, Tony and the other members want her gone, the only person who is willing to help her is Jed the handsome, sexy club treasurer. Jed is known as the pretty boy with a large bank account who the club will never accept due to his ties with Maxum, to prove his loyalty, he funded the club all the money that Maxum stole from them. Now Jed wonders will he ever be treated as a member of this club and fit in with the Midnight Saints. When Jed sees Sophie he becomes instantly drawn to this feisty sexy young woman and decides to protect her from the others. The more time they spend together, the chemistry between them becomes explosive as Jed and Sophie give into the passion they have together. Will Sophie finally face the truth about her father and the Midnight Saints MC? Now Jed finds he is torn between wanting Sophie in his life as well as his loyalty to the club.
The club will soon be under attack once again when the Shadow Keepers as well as the Blue Devils MC want Maxum back. Kara in order to protect her club and the man she loves comes up with a plan to take her father and end him but things will not go as planned. This story had many twists and turns involving kidnapping, death and violence surrounding Jed, Sophie, Kara and Tony. Through all of this chaos Kara and Sophie will finally bond as sisters as the real nature of their father is revealed and Jed finds that he is finally accepted by his brothers. Now the Midnight Saints MC are gearing for a full out war with the Shadow Keepers as well as the Blue Devils MC when Maxum escapes again. We are left wondering why he spared Sophie and let her go and how will this effect Kara, Tony and the club. Will Jed and Sophie have a life together finally? This is book three of three in the Midnight Saints MC series by Iris Sweetwater.
Maxum has two daughters who claim him. Kara is his biological daughter, and Sophie is a girl he took in. The two girls don’t seem to be able to stand each other. Sophie thinks he needs to be in rehab to kick his drug habit. Kara has other plans. This is where the book really begins. Sophie asks Kara for help with their father. Kara tells her to bring him to the club, and they will help get him clean. However, when Sophie gets him there, Kara changes the plan. Kara only has concerns to get him clean to get information out of him on why he would sabotage the club and have one of their own killed.
In walks Jed. Jed is the treasurer for the club because he made a large donation to them. He doesn’t really fit in, but he tries to. He sees a kindred spirit in Sophie. He takes her back to his place so she can rest because it is late. They end up spending the weekend together. When she goes back to school, things begin to change.
Kara starts thinking about the Shadow Order and Blue Diablos. She comes up with a plan involving her ex to keep the MC safe, take her dad away, and make everything okay. How can Jed and Sophie make it work together with so many secrets between them? How is this plan going to work even though Kara is adamant that this is the only way to save their MC, keep Tony safe, and make everything okay again?

She goes to Kara for help but Kara is more interested in torturing her father for answers. They all want Sophie gone but the only one willing to help her is Jed the Treasurer of the Midnight Saints. He is drawn to Sophie and decides to protect her from the club. Book three of a dramatic biker series. by sewsummore
This is the first book in this series I have read, and I would recommend reading the first two books in the series first before reading this book for better understanding and clarity. There were many occasions when I felt something was missing in the storyline, but now I know it was background information from the earlier books. Sophie and Kara were raised as sisters, although Kara's Father, Maxum, adopted Sophie while kara was his bastard daughter. When Sophie asks Kara for help with her father's recent addiction to drugs. At first, Kara refuses to help but soon changes her mind. Asking Sophie to bring their father to the "Midnight Saints Mc Club," instead of help Maxum is taken captive and beaten for the crimes he had committed against Kara and the club. Sophie is distraught, and it is up to Jed, the club treasurer, to calm Sophie's fears. When Sophie ends up drinking too much to drive, he takes her home to his house, where she eventually ends up spending the weekend with Jed and becoming his lover. Sophie continues to believe that Maxum is detoxing with the help of the club members. Much more is revealed in this book, but I will leave you to discover what happens next. Looking back on what I have read and knowing the reasons for my earlier confusion, I am eager to read the first two books in this series before starting book four in this dramatic series.

This is a book that takes off from almost the first page and just keeps delivering page after page Sophie is the adopted daughter of Maxum The old president of the Midnight Saints she has been sent away from the club and has a toxic relationship with her sister Kara who stayed at the club Everyone tells her that her father is evil but she won't believe it all she wants is to get him into rehab to do that she needs help from her sister but Kara has other plans for her father and she needs answer from Maxum and she will get them anyway she can The only person who may help Sophie is Jed he is the treasurer of the club but he isn't like them he is wealthy in his own right in fact he is the one who financed the club after Maxum stole all the money but he never quite feels as though he is a true member of the club. The chemistry between these two is off the charts but they will both face challenges she will have to face what her father has become and he will have to maybe make a choice between the club and the woman he loves. When danger threatens though it will be the bond between the sisters that finally wins the day
This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Jed and Sophie’s story. Sophie is the adoptive daughter if Maxum “The Preacher” and former President of the Midnight Saints, and neither of them are welcome at the clubhouse. Sophie has always been treated well by her father, while his biological daughter Kara has seen the evil side of him as well as the crimes he committed against the MC, which has left their relationship toxic. Being blinded by Maxum, when he needs help for his addiction Sophie has no choice but to contact Kara for help, and she is convinced to bring him to the clubhouse. On the way there Maxum turns violent but luckily the MC gets to them before he can harm her. Now at the club where she is not welcome Jed who is the club treasurer is drawn to Sophie, and the chemistry between them is explosive. This is a well written tale which is filled with emotion, danger, suspense, drama, twists, and love. I was hooked throughout this riveting and addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend for all MC lovers.
This book will pull you in from the start. I do recommend that you read book 1 and 2 of this series first so you will know what's going on. This book is filled with action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, twist/turns, enemies, survival, intrigue, mystery/secrets, surprises, family, friends/friendships, anger, fear, pain, conflict, resolution, confusion, confidence, strength, courage, trust, truths, chaos, violence, betrayal, lies, greed, murder/death, torture, abuse, threats, manipulating, arrogance, tension, evil, annoyance, life-threatening situations, fighting, turmoil (emotional), frustration, determination, patience, destruction, compromises, loyalty, alliance, trials/tribulations, attitudes, hatred, kidnapping, revenge/vengeance, hope/hopelessness, misunderstandings, happiness, romance, passion/lust and love. In this book, Maxim is still causing problems for the club and this puts the sisters in different sides of the fence.
"Hinder" is Sophie and Jed's story, but I think to put out a more fair review, it is best to read the prior books in the series. There is a bit of background that is touched on from previous books, but having not read them, I can only base my review on this story. Maxum is Sophie and Kara's father, but Sophie, being one of the presidents of the Midnight Saints MC, she must met out punishment to Maxum for his betrayal of the club. Kara is so far removed from the life, she doesn't have a clue what it entails. Enter Jed, the club treasurer. He takes Kara to his home when she has too much to drink, but with the sparks flying, their romance begins. Although each book has a different couple, they need to be read in order to get a better understanding of the MC and the series. I enjoyed Jed and Kara's story, and would like to go back and read the first two books in the series that I missed. **I was gifted "Hinder" via Booksprout and leave my review based on my reading.** 3.25 Stars
Oh this was interesting. We learn about Kara sister Sophie and she has somehow made an impression on Jed. Jed and Sophie are two peas in the same pod. Sophie has no clue about the MC life and Jed well he knows a lot but does not want the mundane life. Well somehow she gets wrapped in the MC life due to her father. Well that is a complicated story but you will understand what I mean when you read it. Also Sophie sort of got on my nerves at one point because she is one minded. She really needs to realize that there is always more to a story and not just from one person. Will she finally see that or still only see it one way. We also get more info about Kara as well. I hope to see more of Jed and Sophie in this series.

Family sucks, especially when family messes uo everything that it defines. Maxim has betrayed both his MC family and his Blood family. His family is his blood daughter, who he hates and treats like crap, and his daughter who he took care of after her mother died of a drug overdose, which puts both women at each other’s throats. Kara and Sophia both have different feelings for each other and for Maxim. In the end they come together and start to be a family, just without Maxim. They both have men from the MC, who love them and will do anything to protect and love them. theses men will also always be in their corners no matter what. This story has action, fear, loathing, growing love, and finally a form of peace between the characters.
Maxim messed up big time by not just within his MC but with his family too, he treated his biological daughter Kara terribly yet his adoptive daughter Sophie he cared for better than his own after she lost her mother to a drug overdose, this set the scenes for the two girls to be at log aheads with one another. When Maxim is in need of help Sophie wants Kara to help too, but after all her fathers done Kara find it difficult to see things Sophies way. will the help of the MC's be able to show the two 'sisters' the right path? this story is action packed, suspense filled, twsits, love, betrayal, and loss.

This is the third book in the Midnight Saints MC series. I miss the brotherhood with them. Yes they are there for each other but they also are very mean to each other and not in the funny way. Jed is coming from money and most of the members think he shouldn't be in the MC. Sophie has grown up with Maxum and thinks only the best of him. She can't believe what everyone says about him. Jed was asked to keep her away from the club and while he is doing it he and Sophie find a connection. Is it because they are both outsiders or are the feelings real. Everything is good until Maxum gets his hands his daughter. It's worth the read but as said before I'd like a bit more solidarity between the brothers.

Revenge is not sweet! *Spoilers* Kara, co-president of the Midnight Saints MC, finally thinks she will get retribution from Maxum, her crazy father, when his adopted daughter Sophie, calls for her help. Sophie is “the good daughter” who is in law school and still thinks Maxum can be saved from his evil path. Sophie meets Jed, the Saints treasurer and the attraction between them is intense. Maxum gets away from the Saints and abducts Kara and Sophie. Jed, Tony, and Eric along with the Saints and Crypt Keepers save the day, but Maxum gets away. This tale has Excitement, action, drama, violence, steamy chemistry, betrayal, and lies. “Hinder” is better when read in order with the other books in this series. I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily
The war continues and when Kara is contacted by her adopted sister Sophie, Kara thinks she has found a way to get back at her traitorous father, Maxum. Sophie is a very naive girl when it comes to Maxum. She has always believed him when he talked about Kara and the type of woman she turned out to be. She thinks she can help him get better, she just wasn’t planning on meeting Jed. Jed is the treasurer and doesn’t look like a biker. Jed feels very protective of Sophie and starts to have feelings that he never thought he would have for a woman. These two are both outsiders and it shows. Jed doesn’t care what others think of him, he will still be loyal and likes the MC life. What happens as the war escalates? There is suspense, action, lies, drama and twists and turns.
Hinder is the third book in the Midnight Saints MC series and is about Sophie and Jed. Sophie is Kara's sister, her and Tony's story is Discord. This is the continuing story of the MC, Maxum and all that wreckage that he does. This story is fast-paced and well written with an engaging story-line that has drama, suspense, danger, betrayal, family and some major hot chemistry. Both Sophie and Jed are interesting characters that are opposites but also alike in ways. they are also very attracted to each other and things get really interesting over her father, Maxum. Be warned that these books must be read in order to understand the story, as the series has an overarching story-line with a different couple in each book.
This was the first book I've reviewed for Iris Sweetwater. I have to say that I am disappointed. The book started out slow, with Sophie wanting to help her dad get sober. Her dad was a Priest and had left the Saints, by going to a rival club. Sophie turns to her sister, Kara, who agrees to help. What ends up as a simple request, Kara envokes this plan that makes no sense, and is so rushed and childish, that it was hard for me to finish this book. The characters were not believable, or relatable, and this just fell flat to me. I had a sense of deja vu, whiplash, and just overall what??
Sophie is a girl that looks to find the good in everyone, even if they don't deserve it. Her dad Maxim has done some very bad things to his club and his other daughter Kara just wants revenge. Sophie tries to get Kara to understand but typical MC fashion dictates the story. Enter Jed a MC member that feels like an outsider but instantly wants to help Kara anyway he can. Trouble and drama for the club and the sisters ensue....well done!! NOT a stand alone!! Read the others before this if want to understand everything!

The saga continues with Kara tricking her step sister, Sophie, into bringing Maxum to her. Kara promised to dry him out and get him help for the drugs and alcohol, but the plan was always to question and contain the madman.
While waiting for her sister to do what is right, Sophie meets Jed, an outsider like herself. Together, they share their life stories and grow closer. Sophie thinks Jed has her interests at heart, but he’s a true member of the Midnight Saints MC.
The double cross will take you by surprise.

Hinder by Iris Sweetwater is book 3 in the Midnight Saints MC series. This one follows Jed and Sophie. Sophie has to ask her estranged sister for help with their father, though she hates it. But, things aren’t always as they seem and soon she realizes she needs help. Jed needs to keep her safe.
Whew….what a whirlwind!! Loved the story and the nonstop action! The characters are well-defined and the chemistry is fabulous!!! I really liked this story!!!

This book had it all from the beginning and it did not stop until the very end. I loved reading everyone’s point of view. Sophie and Kara are 2 very different people and I loved how they constantly butted heads due to their “father” who seems to have endless lives. I loved Kara’s feisty attitude and her relationship with Tony. A fast paced book with a great story that will keep you hooked. Can’t wait to read more of the Midnight Saints MC books and to see how all the relationships develop, especially Jed and sophie. A great series which I highly recommend.

When two sisters come together to help their dad get help, Sophie wants to help him and her sister wants revenge. He might not be her biological father but he is the man she calls dad. Jed finds Sophie interesting and wants to be near her ,his club feels other wise she is defending the one man who betrayed them leaving one of them dead. Still Jed takes a chance and invites her to stay with him and he really wants her to stay he can't seem to let her leave. Can they navigate the distrust that the club has for her and her disgust for the M/C lifestyle.

This is the 3rd book in the Midnight Saints MC and I love this series! This is a continuation from the last book. Sophie and Kara are both daughters of Maxum who has done some really evil stuff. Kara hates Maxum but Sophie doesn’t believe her father is evil or that he has done any of the stuff other people say. Sophie tries to help her father and asks for Kara’s help. Kara only agrees to get her hands on Maxum. Sophie meets Jed at the MC clubhouse and they bond. Jed instantly feels protective towards Sophie. Will Kara and Sophie be able to get on the same page when it comes to their father Maxum?
I received an ARC of this book.

Sophie was the child MaXium wanted. He abused his own daughter but treated Sophie like a queen. She and Kara did not get along. However, when Sophie needed help with their father she turned to Kara who agreed to help. Would Sophie finally realize what kind of man Maxum is? Will she finally understand what the club means? Will she join up with the club? I love this series and cannot wait for the next book. Well written and keeps your attention to the last page.

Well this is a first I must admit this book wasn't a hit for me I don't know if it was Sofie and her naivety to the situation and her dislike of Kara that peeved me off or her persistence of Maxum bring a God fearing man, yet she sleeps with Jet and fantasized about another shes all over the place lol. Thing's definitely come to a head though and I think she eventually takes her blinders off to the reality of the situation 1and just how bad Maxum really is. Am so cheering for Eric to get his happy ending because the too and fro that Kara is putting him through is so not nice.
thought this book was outstanding. It kept my attention from beginning to end. The characters were great and the storyline flowed smoothly. There is plenty of action, desire, danger and more in this story. The characters face obstacles that can tear them apart not only as couples but as MC clubs. Every action has a reaction. Some have a dire outcome. Can Jed, Sophie, Tony and Kara have a HEA? Check it out and see! No spoilers! I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance copy of the book from the author. Can not wait for more from this author.
This is book 3 in Sweetwater's Midnight Saints MC series and I think it reads better when read after the first 2 so you have a better idea of the families and characters. This book focus' on Sophie and Jed. This book will grip you from the very beginning and won't let go. Full of action, adventure, danger, twists and turns and drama. Really, this book has it all and you will love every minute of it! Can't wait for more on this MC!

This book will grab you from pretty much the second chapter. Sophie is such a star in this book and she has such a good personality. When her dad has to go into rehab, she looks toward Jed for help. The chemistry between them is almost electric and they both have a lot of past to have to deal with but between the two of them they have to see if they can get her father the care that he needs and also both have their lives within their clubs and with each other

The Ex President of the Midnight Saints MC, Maxum, is still causing problems for so many. Sophia believes her father still has some good in him. She finally sees Maxum for what he really is, Crazy!! Kara knows her father can not be helped and definitely he cannot be trusted. Jed, Pretty Boy, saved the club once and now he is determined to save Sophia. I love this MC Series so much. It just gets better and better!! Definitely another Five-Star read!!
