I'm afraid to lose you, and you're not even mine.

In order to survive, he has to run. So Lincoln Blake is on the run with Pearl Thomas, a woman he met a few short weeks ago. The woman who fell into his messed up life and landed herself in danger.

The killing kind of danger.

When she is kidnapped, he reaches out to the only person he knows to help him get her back, but he is violently betrayed. His brother is his last hope and when things go wrong again, his brother is beaten to near death.

Lincoln's life is turned upside down. Will there ever be an end to the danger? To a life in hiding?

There comes a point in life that will either break a man or give him the strength to break the chains holding him down.

Lincoln is a soldier.

There's no way in hell he's going down without a fight.

Awesome read!

This was an awesome series. Page after page of on the edge action. Lots of sexy scenes and a not expected ending to the suspend.

Overall I'd give this series (3 books) 4 stars, with this last book being the best one.

By book 3, you know all of the characters well (or do you?), the relationship between Lincoln and Pearl has been established and it all comes down to will they escape/survive or not? Lots of twists and turns and action!

I was drawn to this series because it was more than just boy meets girl on a mountain-they had to stick together to stay alive from the enemies who were chasing them (a nice little metaphor for life/love as well).

I also appreciated that though she could be a little whiny (forgiven because she was only 22 years old), Pearl was a bad ass who held her own and definitely saved the day a few times.
