strong hearts still break

Rate this book
Strong Hearts Still Break by c.r. Elliott is a poetic journey of self-love and self-discovery of words joined together to tell a story of strength and growth. With this collection the author wanted to create a safe space for everyone that is or ever has been trapped in a toxic relationship, to rest their weary hearts and focus on themselves. Relationships, love, pain, and fortitude are powerfully rendered in his poetry, and his message of empowerment strikes into the heart of the reader and tells how to embrace ourselves, let go of the negative and grow in unsteady situations and persevere.

Made me cry

While I lack prose, this book hit home and made my eyes and heart weep as if I had written it myself and placed my own soul and it's holes on the pages.

a good poetry book. like others, i found the beginning to be a lot more captivating than the end, as i did find it to get slightly repetitive, but i did really enjoy reading this book!!
