A good, smooth finish of this exceptional series - throughout an intriguing mix!

The writing and editing was clean, with no typos that I found in the ARC version of the manuscript. The world building was quite vivid, with the Vostra culture and political maneuvering being well described. The characterization was competent, with the hero and heroine being sympathetic individuals if not especially nuanced. The development of the romantic relationship was very hot. Five chili peppers. I really appreciated the importance of consent in the Vostra’s vaguely omegaverse universe. The plot and pacing were both quick and exciting, meaning I read this novel in one sitting. There was a medium amount of rediculous angst in this novel which was tiresome to read and very high stakes, which I tend to enjoy in romance novels. This novel used the Mating Bond trope, the Mafia Princess trope, and the Older Man, Younger Woman trope. The world building, plot, and pacing were all four stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship were also four stars. I therefore gave this novel a combined rating of four stars. This novel had a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger ending, so that was a plus. I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy omegaverse and BDSM elements to their sci-fi romances. This story also should appeal to readers who enjoy mafia romances. I look forward to reading the next book in this series when it releases. I think I will buy myself a keeper copy of this novel.

This is the 4th book in the series and can be read as a stand-alone. Lyra is a mafia princess and when she takes a mate, she is expected to surrender to her mate. Lyra feels like she is only married to Geddion as a pawn in a mob war and when she is disobedient, he is happy to punish her. There is chemistry between them but will there be more? Fast-paced sci-fi read with great world building, lots of drama and steam. An entertaining read. I liked it.

Lyra was the ill-fated Gordulla Crime Lord's daughter who rules over their planet before the Butarza Crime family captured and took control. Both the families were part of a Vostra organization, similar to the Bratva on Earth. Lyra was to become the mate of a Gordulla Captain, but none of the matches introduced to Lyra have the magic genetic compatibility necessary to make the mating successful. Geddion, a captain in the Butarza organization, was placed in control of the planet. It was his responsibility to find her a suitable match and so unite both crime families. Three introductions have been unsuccessful so far, and the more time Geddion spends with the feisty young woman, the more he fears that she is his mate. Lyra, when she was younger, was fearful of becoming a mate to any male, but as she matured, she began to realize it was something she needed to be fulfilled as a woman. She had become increasingly frustrated and having inappropriate thoughts about Geddion. When he is forced to administer a spanking as punishment for bad breaking the rules, their relationship changes, and he comes to realize that she is his mate and her master. I thought this book was an interesting combination of science fiction and paranormal romance combined with dominance and submission elements. Lyra needed to be mated to tame her wild outbursts, and despite Geddion earlier misgivings, he is just the man she wants and needs. I thought the author successfully merged the paranormal with the science fiction in these stories and looked forward to reading more books in this entertaining series.

I didn't find the book dark at all. It seems pretty standard fare for a spankster👋 novel. The story could have taken place anywhere, that's why I concluded this is a Contemporary Erotic Romance💕 that has had a few things changed in the story line and renamed as a Sci-fi 👽Romance💕. It's a quick, dirty, fun read for what it is.

Lyra is supposed to choose a mate to unite the families but she is getting tired of the suitors that Geddion keeps presenting to her. Lyra devises a plan to get exactly what she wants, which is Geddion, & her taunts earn her exactly what she has been craving with her thrown over Geddion’s lap for punishment. Once she has had a taste of Geddion’s firm hands, Lyra can’t stop herself from disobeying to get more spankings from Geddion as he knows exactly how to get her heated up. Even though Geddion suspects what Lyra is up to, he is having a hard time holding back the feelings he has for her. When it becomes clear Lyra is his fated mate, Geddion will stop at nothing to claim her but when a rival family opens fire, Geddion will have to act fast with his men to quell the rebellion forces to keep Lyra and the others safe.

Dark, dirty fun! Highly recommend if you like D/s PNRs
Written for mature readers only (18+ years old) due to subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, steamy intimate scenes and violence such as abduction, fighting with some to the death, punishment / spanking for punishment / reward, dominant / submissive relationships, etc.
This is the 4th story in the Vostra Crime Lords series and I highly recommend they be read in series order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers as there are reoccurring characters and an overall storyline arc.
I gave this 5 stars despite a few grammatical issues, as the strength of the story universe and characters. They are just so naughty! Can’t wait until the next story in the series.

Lyra is the daughter of Dazan the former boss of the Gordulla crime family and with her father imprisoned she is left to the rival Butarza family who are anxiously waiting to see who she becomes compatible with to mate. Geddion is tasked with helping Lyra find her compatible mate whilst also being able to smell her knowing they are compatible can he put what her family did to them behind him? would Lyra even be willing to accept him? will he even be allowed to with her being in such a previous high position and her loyalty to the Butarza family still undetermined. A well written sci-fi romance with a great story line and steamy characters

This is a fun short story. Geddion is supposed to be helping Lyra find a mate among the Butarza captains. The problem is that none of the captains have interested Lyra. But, Geddion interests her and she decides, with help from her mated friends, that she is going to get him to punish her. Geddion is interested in Lyra, but feels that he shouldn't be the one to mate her. But, fate takes over and they realize that they are fated mates. I enjoyed the story and visiting this world that Luna Voss has built. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Lyra is a Gordulla princess, The Butarza Family conquered the Gordulla Family and Lyra mating with a Butaza Captain will help the transition. Geddion is charged with bringing prospective mates to her attention, but Lyra finds her attention only on Geddion. The chemistry between the 2 of them is undeniable and Geddion, who is responsible for her discipline, can't keep his hand off her and wonders if she's her Fated Mate. He's also juggling bringing the Gordulla planet in line with the Butarza family and still setting her up with other captains. Great characters, loved the storyline, a really great read.

This very well written, book 4 in the Vostra Crime Lords was interesting.with good characters. It had some very well-crafted scenes and story plots. These characters have strong personalities and their actions are believably realistic. This interesting story has the following: intrigue, twists and turns, adventure, action, danger, love, steam and a HEA. It is a well-paced, good scifi romance book that will keep you interested from start to finish. A must read.

The Gordulla princess has been claimed by the Butarza captain.
How the mighty Captain has fallen, felled by the Gordulla Princess but he was happy about it, correction, they were both happy with it. She got her Vostra, he got his vulta.
It was amusing watching Geddion trying to control his possessiveness when suitors came a calling for Lyra and Lyra seems to enjoy his actions. And just when they are finally tying the knot, these Gordullas had the temerity to interrupt. That scene was hilarious.

First book I read by this author, but will very definitely go to the start of this series and read all of them. I loved the way Geddion is struggling with his feelings and ideas on how it should be before giving in and the change Lyra has before coming into her own. It's a good paced story with suspense, lots of steam and passion, well written characters and an all-round entertaining alien world.

Love this series. Book 4 is about Lyra and Geddion. Lyra is a Mafia princess that's being pawned off to Geddion. She will be expected to surrender to her mate if she's not she's will be punished. She's the price to stop a mob war. They have chemistry but will Lyra find the love with Geddion that she is hoping for? This is a very fast paced romance with lots of drama and steam. I really enjoy reading about this world and the Vostra. The series started with a bang and has kept me interested throughout. We’re four books in and I’m still here for it all and looking forward to more.

Lyra & Geddion are steam waiting for the boil to overflow! This is a remarkable story and the fact that Miss Voss writes her characters with a multitude of titillation that engages the reader and leaves them with a sense of ardor. This is an amazing a extension to this well written and thought out series!

Book 4 is yet another exciting read by Luna Voss. This series just gets more exciting/hotter as you progress. I literally just spent all day sitting down, reading non-stop, as I couldn't wait to turn the page. Fated mates don't get much better!

This book concentrates on Lyra and Geddion. The plot is good and continues along the same line as the previous books, but it is also its own unique plot. Lyra is not happy about the union to Geddion and it was fun and entertaining watching their characters develop and change.

Mafia meets Sci Fi
It’s romantic, it’s dirty, it’s brutal and it’s sweet. It’s all of these things and more, but above all, it’s a great read. I enjoyed seeing the couples from previous books pop up in this one, and add to their storylines. A fun read.
