Lancaster is someone you'll want to know better…and you'll want him on your side.
In classic western fashion, Lancaster’s story starts with a gunshot – but not just any gunshot. It was a sight that would haunt Lancaster's soul for the rest of his life – a beautiful little girl with startling blue eyes. Eyes that looked up at him as he fired the shot that killed her. He hadn't meant to do it. Why did she have to get in the way just as he drew down on the man he was hired to kill? After meeting another girl who needed help, he knew he'd finally found a way to regain his soul...even if it cost him his life in the bargain.
Join Lancaster on his countless courageous adventures of fighting for his life while trying to save the lives of others.
The Lancaster Series includes The Ghost With Blue Eyes, Lancaster's Orphans, Gallows, and Crow Bait.

Great series about former gunman Lancaster🐺💪🔫🐎 and his travels. Randisi📚 is no Louie L'amour, but these are solid, well written tales set in the waning days of the old west. Well worth reading and great escapism!
Lancaster was a gun for hire who barely stayed within the boundaries of the law, until one day a little girl accidently gets in the way of one of his bullets. Then all he was, was a town drunk. He found a purpose when he was able to save another young girl. This set him on a course of self redemption the follows through all 4 books. Each book, individually, is worth 5 stars.
Classic old west as a gunman begins settling scores for good people
A tragic accident pushed him into the whisky bottle as a hopeless drunk, but rescuing a young girl turned Lancaster around. The old instincts keep him alive as he begins helping those who are in deep trouble. Fascinating tales with excellent characters and gunplay as a last resort. Well worth the time.
The western era is new to me. I learned a lot from this book. The main character was believable and easy to identify with. His rise from a selfish narrow minded , self centered human being to a human with a softness for kids ,animals and a grasp of what was morally correct was delightful to witness.
This was a good read that has all the good things that make a story interesting and informative along with entertaining. The first thing that you have is a person who doesn't quit when pushed, the rest is history.
The writter had Lancaster riding west from Flagstaff AZ to Amirrilo TX , a little more proof reading would help. Series was good but after a while got repetitious.

How do you repay someone for killing their daughter????? Can you even live with it?
Lancaster arrived for a job interview with Mr. Kane. As he was following the man that fetched him at the station, a beautiful woman and her daughter crossed in front of him, the little girl about 6 years old looked up at him. Continuing to the client’s office he made note of the shocking blue eyes of the little girl. Those eyes were filled with curiosity and innocence that was hard for Lancaster to comprehend.
As he listened to Kane explain the details of the job, he had wondered why the offer was so high just to come and talk. Then he heard the client tell him that he would pay ten thousand dollars to have a man killed. He looked at the client in the eye and told him that he was not a killer, and he walked away.
When he got downstairs, Carlyle, his escort, was walking in front of him taking him back to the train station. A shot rang out and Carlyle jerked and slumped to the ground. Lancaster looked back reaching for his gun, but he stopped when he saw a man pointing a gun at him. The tall rangie looking man told him that he must be the man that Kane brought in. Asking who he was, the man told him his name was McCray, and that he was the man that Kane wanted to be killed. He told him that he did not accept the job and that he did not want to shoot him. But McCray just would not listen, he knew Lancaster’s reputation and he wanted to settle the matter now!
Lancaster told him to holster his gun and that they could continue. After McCray holstered his gun, they were ready to drawdown. McCray drew first but his shot just went through Lancaster’s duster. Lancaster drew and fired, the shot hit McCray in the chest, but McCray tried to bring up his gun to fire another shot, so Lancaster fired again. He heard a woman scream, and when he looked again, he saw that his second bullet hit the little girl as she ran between the two men. Just as the bullet hit her, she turned and looked at Lancaster with those blue eyes staring at him. The bullet struck and those eyes closed forever! Then he felt the hot lead strike him in the upper chest, on the left side, and he fell with blackness surrounding him.
And now the story begins….
What did I like? This was an incredible series. The emotional content was off the charts. You must wonder about the horror of seeing that bullet hit the little girl and her turning and looking at you. I do not think I could live with it either. I know how I have felt when I have had to accept death but to be the instrument of death, I just do not think I would be able to handle it. I loved the ending, it was completely out in the left field, but was righteous! I think you will love it too!
What will you like? Emotional, action, mystery, intrigue, suspense, and a killer ending!! The characters are the most amazing part of the book. The descriptions and details take your heart for a trip with the emotional content and lead you through the haze of acceptance, the search for peace, and the life of the man that lived through it. This book will grab your heart and hold on to it till the last page. An intriguing story of life with the gunslingers of the past. Another great book to add to your Western Library.
