Vivid and well-researched story. I loved Make it out alive by Emma Ellis, and I'm glad I stumbled upon it by accident.
The novel's main hero is Violet, an orphan (when she was seven, a dragon terrorized the Kingdom and burned the house with her parents inside), who is living together with a smart and kind witch, Gram. Violet is a local thief and refugee. The King sends a bounty hunter, called Ryland, to track Violet down. During a visit to the local festival, Violet meets the man who is destined to become her great friend and love.
On the way to execution, Violet is going to discover the power of courage and trust. The plot keeps you engaged, and the quality of writing is outstanding. If you like medieval fantasy romances with solid action to accompany, read this ASAP. This novel is a hidden gem!
