From the USA Today bestselling author of Feels Like Home comes the next installment in the Blue Harbor series about finding everything you wanted, right where you left it.
When Brooke Conway left Blue Harbor six years ago, she said goodbye to more than just her friends and family. Newly married with big dreams and plans, the future she had envisioned took an unexpected turn, leaving her on her own in the life she and her husband were supposed to share. Now Brooke is back in town to open her bridal boutique, an irony that is not lost on her. Because while she may be giving other women the wedding dress of their dreams, she knows it’s time to end her marriage to Kyle Harrison once and for all.
Kyle has spent every day since Brooke left living with the choice he made, and her sudden appearance stirs up all those feelings he’s tried hard to forget. Brooke may have moved on in the time she was away, but the only thing that has changed for him is that the only girl he’s ever loved is no longer by his side. When Brooke tells him it’s time to officially go their separate ways, Kyle proposes something else. Six dates to make up for the six years they lost, and to see if they can still have a second chance before it’s too late.

Honestly I thought the heroine was annoying. She left him behind to pursue her dreams and stayed away for six years. And she blamed him for her selfishness. Actually they Both were a little selfish. He loved his town and his family legacy and wAnted to preserve it. She wanted to be a designer. So for six years they stayed apart only living half lives and I found that incredibly sad. I like the way he loved her. He never moved on and neither did she. I was glad about that. They made vows and for the most part they kept them. They should have cherished more. I liked the ending too. Nice.light romance and safe.
I have been a sucker for this Blue Harbor series. After all, I live in Michigan and have often vacationed on Lake Huron. I love the people of Blue Harbor even if they seem unable to really leave and live happily and successfully elsewhere (many people own lakeside homes and are able to return for weeks in the summer). Yet I understand the premise of families living and working together forever in their hometowns. In this story, I found it to be a stretch for a couple to remain married but separated in both distance and emotionally for 6 years. Still, it was a totally enjoyable read.
"RETURN To ME" is another of Olivia Miles's stories of a large and close family descended from the apple and cherry orchards of the girls' grandparents. The town is Blue Harbor on the banks of Lake Huron and has many full-time and visiting residents (during the warmer months & for the various special weekend events). However, this 5th book in the Blue Harbor tells of Brooke's problems resolving her design career as well as her relationship with Kyle, her estranged husband. This book, similar to Ms. Miles' other books is for readers of modern romance with a bit of intrigue. 👰
This is an entertaining return to a Blue Harbor in a second chance romance. Sometimes dreams change and priorities become clearer. Brooke and Kyle never officially divorced - before they finally get around to it, is it possible that they might have a second chance at love? A charming town and delightful characters make this a heartwarming story.
In the present, we want change taking the reins to make it happen even if it cost everything. While in the time that’s past, the present outcome was always our future.
“You were my past. My present. And I never stopped wishing or hoping that somehow, you’d be my future.”
I really enjoyed this book. I like these characters and the plot. I really like this community with all the relatives and friends. Seems like I know them which makes it a great series. Looking forward to reading the next installment
Wow! Such a great story and told so well by Olivia. Needed the uplift this story left one with and enjoyed following Brooke and Kyle's story of love, losing each other and finding love again. Their love was always still with them.
This was a very good book to complete the story line on this family unless the author plans to follow Candy’s wedding. I was so excited to read this and see Kyle and Brookes story.
