Rate this book
Everyone loves pizza, right? Saver of parties, empty fridges and hangovers the world over – pizza has come to the rescue of the human race more times than is worth counting. So, if you can't imagine your world without dough, cheese and tomato, then this is the book for you.

All things pizza are here – from its history and family tree, to world famous pizzerias and even an exploration into the pizza variants we love to hate (hamburger crust pizza anyone?). The Pizza Pilgrims, Thom and James Elliot, have spent years researching the best pizza that the world has to offer, and producing their own pizzas across 16 restaurants in the UK (and counting).

Alongside pizza maps of their favourite global pizza cities (so you can conduct your very own pizza pilgrimage) the book is also packed with over 30 recipes to make sure you finally delete your local takeaway from speed dial #1. From an NY slice, to true Neapolitan pizza made in a frying pan, Pizza offers classic and new creations, including guest chefs' signature takes, and the Pilgrims' very own Nutella pizza ring!

Oven fresh and packed with interviews, pizza facts, movie scenes, world records and even pizza tattoos, Pizza is illustrated with all manner of pie-based fun and written with a hearty dose of humour. The perfect companion for the pizza lover in your life. Fact.

I want pizza now!

Good book for pizza lovers who like to travel and want to know the best spots in the big cities. Some interesting recipes and great photos. But lots of filler pages with boring information.

Excellent and wildly interesting book on the world of pizza. Well written and lavishly illustrated.

I picked this book up, rather excitedly, only to find out that it's basically a book of self promotion from a couple of british pizza franchise owners/social media personalities?

I don't know who this book is for unless you're a fan of these two weird ass brothers. Yes there's lots of lavish pizza pictures, but they're all pictures with the brothers in them eating the pizza and making dumb faces.

Yes there are "pizza histories" and descriptions of pizza ingredients in here, but they are the most basic 1st grade level page-filler I've ever read. Did you know Pizza was from naples? Did you know it has mozzarella cheese in it? Did you know tomatoes came from the Americas?

There are also lots of extremely base-level, repetitive reviews of pizza restaurants. Pizza restaurants in some of the biggest and best cities in the world like... *checks notes*... Paris? Some of the reviews aren't even reviews. One of them is literally "We didn't visit this restaurant but we heard it's good". GREAT REVIEW USEFUL INFORMATION.

The recipes largely seem fine. I can't really rate them if I don't make them myself. However a lot of the recipes are shit like SPAGHETTI PIZZA so what the fuck.

Whatever. Huge disappointing waste of time from a couple of knobheads.

I love pizza and I loved this book! The history of pizza and the authors/brothers’ escapades are interesting, the writing is enthusiastic, and the photos are fantastic. I was uninterested in the recipes, but the rest of the book more than made up for it. It is hilarious that the book’s cover and spine are designed to look like a small fun pizza box. Reading it made me hungrier than usual for pizza.

First heard of these guys on the Sorted Food YouTube channel. After having pizza in Naples my husband & I knew we needed to try the recipe and it worked SO WELL! Completely delicious pizza 🍕

"Anyone who says that money cannot buy happiness has clearly never spent their money on pizza." Beautifully photographed, fascinating book that encompasses the history of pizza, the best places to get pizza around the world, recipes, interviews with chefs and pizza company CEOs, etc. A quirky and fun read.

Read for the recipes and pizza history. The personal stories are boring and unnecessary.
