I'm Adair Miller. You probably know me as the middle Miller brother and bassist for our multi-platinum selling rock band Amaryllis.
Last night was a complete and total train wreck.
First, I started flirting with my ex. That's not even when everything went off the rails. I hit rock bottom when I pretended to be drunk because I'm a coward and couldn't own up to my feelings.
I can't remember a time when I didn't love Carly Thompson, but she thinks I'm just a hard-living love them and leave them rockstar. Someone she's better off leaving in her past.
She's not wrong.
To make things worse, I haven't given her any reason to think otherwise. I've spent my entire life pushing people away, it only got worse after the accident...
Then last night happened.
"Adair! What exactly happened last night and why do I have a twisty tie on my G-D finger?"
Christ! I guess that means she's up and probably nursing a hangover. How do I explain what happened last night to the one woman I can't have? The same woman I can't breathe without her in my life. Half of me wants to take her to get a proper ring while the other half wants to erase last night from both of our memories
You wouldn't happen to know where I can get an annulment on a Sunday in Colorado, would you? #askingforafriend

This is Carly and Adair's story but it never reads that way to me. An issue I had right from the get go, never resolved for me fully. There are so many characters, who I knew from reading "The Summer Tour" BUT there are conversations with so many characters talking at once and it makes it hard to follow. What really would have helped are a few "she said" and "he said" dialogue tags. It is obvious this author comes from eh school of thought...show-don't-tell. Which is great, usually, but when you have more than 2 or 3 characters talking it gets meddlesome to always show and only show. TO say this is a slow burn is an understatement. And yes, there are shirtless Rock-n-Roll stars on the cover of the novels BUT do not expect steam and reckless love. Carly and Adair have their issues apart from them as a couple....but here is my take away ->they should NOT ever ever BE a Couple. I had to give at least 3 stars though because author Melanson does a great job at creating the rock and roll world. She gives characters attributes AND flaws to make them well rounded even in a shorter novel such as this one.
“Resignation?” “Carly,” he whispers in a tone of defeat, “please don’t do this.” “I have to.” I push the door open just enough to let myself through, blocking him from following me. “It’s the best for both of us,” I say, letting the door close between us.
Another easy to read rockstar romance in this series. Once again nothing made it stand out as being exceptional and this pair started to irk me. Clueless is one word to describe Adair, if you push something away eventually it won’t return. Sending mixed signals to each other, just became confusing and I have no idea why the band didn’t lock them in a room together to sort out their drama.
The story is a nice one. Your women over think themselves. The guys are all goofy. Also they can't hold back their royalties. The record companies have no part in the distribution from what I have researched on the subject. They receive them for life and can hand them down to family. I was hoping this band would continue but it looks like you are ending the band. I'll read the next and see what happens.
I just need to say how much I really love Carly. Any woman that will put up with Adaire and his wicked ways for so long deserves happiness. I did think the ending was a little abrupt. The wrong words in places was very distracting your proofreader needs to improve. Can’t wait for the next installment
I am in love with this series & so happy we got to hear Carly and Adair story!!! We knew they had a past and knew Carly went through stuff because of Adair and Stone but wow they constantly hand her on a rollarcoaster. So glad we finally got to hear their story and get to know some of the other characters more!! Ps!!! I love Travis
Finally, Adair and Carly have their moment! I've been waiting so long to read this book, and it was everything I had hoped it would be. I strongly recommend this series.
I really liked Summer Tour although I thought it wrapped up rather abruptly but that book had nothing on this book. Such a good story but it needed to take more than two pages and maybe 30 minutes of her life for Carly to decide to be with Adair and agree to marry him.

The second book in the Amaryllis Romance series a well written story that held my interest until the end. Adair Miller and Carly Thompson's story of a second chance. I want to read the next book. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This one was a slow start an hard to figure out what was going on with all the characters in the story. I had not read the previous books in the series, so maybe that was part of the problem. Once I got several chapters in the flow picked up and it became a heart felt book of two people over coming there history and finding their way back to each other.

This book was a fun one to read. Lots of teasing between brothers. There is also lots of fun banter throughout the book between Adair and Carly. They seem to have had a lot of issues in the past as friends that really needed to be cleared up in order to have a real relationship. Adair seems a bit self centered and had to learn to open himself up just a little. We get to see him grow a little as a person as the story moves along. Overall this book was pretty good and is enjoyable to read.
Took me a few chapters to get into this story. Though once I was a few in, I was taken right into the story and it gave me the escape from the world I like to have in a book. The banter between the characters was funny and helped get to know the characters. Overall I would say this is a great heartwarming book.
I was excited to get this second book in the Amaryllis romance series because I fell in love with these characters while reading The Summer Tour. I loved Adair and Carly together. Heartfelt and funny read.
I couldn't wait to get my hands on Adair's story after meeting him and Carly in the first book in this series. I loved their journey together and will definitely grab the next from this author.
Great follow up to The Summer Tour. I loved seeing Griffin and London show up in this story and seeing how Adair and Carly finally get over their past. It was a heartwarming funny read.
I read this book in one morning! It was a welcome escape from the confines of quarantine, and the characters were just the right combination of silly and serious. A great pick-me-up read.
