From the time Taylor was five, all he could remember was wanting to be Emma’s younger sister. He loved dressing up in her hand-me-downs. He admired his older sister and really wanted to be her. Halloween was his favorite holiday because he could let his fantasies run wild and be Cinderella or Wonder Woman. And playing make-believe was always fun when he could be the cute little girl.
But, something happened when he turned twelve. He put away the dresses and costumes. The doll house went up in the attic and Taylor’s fantasies were all in his mind.
Until one fateful Saturday that changed everything. This is that story.

My eyes are tired and the sun is coming up because this story is written well enough to keep my interest even when I know I should put it down and read more at a later date.
This is a well-written story that got me involved to the point where I did not want to stop reading until I got to the end. I'm worn out!
My take on well-written is due to the fact that when an unfortunate event takes place you feel the emotion yourself. Within this story an event such as this occurs and when it did I felt it.
A word of warning before starting this story; as you are reading and you notice a sudden diversion of the storyline where one paragraph doesn't seem to fit with the previous paragraph, don't worry you didn't miss anything.
Taylor is young and has a vivid imagination. The moments in this story when the flow seems to veer off, you have just entered Taylor's imagination. A different way to write a story but one which makes a lot of sense once you get further into the story itself and the details behind the imagination.
This is a wonderfully written story about someone with gender dysphoria and the journey that followed the realization.
Well-written and highly recommended.
And, without doubt, there MUST be a sequel...... PLEASE!!!!!
The book ending feels feels unfinished. Adding the whole modeling bit adds a page or two but is left hanging in the end. I get the need to make up all the daydreams at the beginning, but it just seemed chaotic. I was left wanting more. Adding a 2nd book to finish the ending is very much needed.
I chose this rating because it was a great read and brought up alot of memories of me trying to figure myself out too and still am no-one would know about my past Or future I'm still a closet cross dresser that no one knows about
I 2as so sad for the boy Taylor. When she finally got to f8nd out who she really was and got a boyfriend, I was so happy for her. Her father's parents should have been arrested for sexual assault though. They deserved it!
