Abandoned by her mother in early childhood, Noa was raised by her distant, apathetic grandmother. But a trip to the library in search of her new love, spy thrillers, leads Noa to a life long friendship with a librarian. Fast forward and Noa has established a successful travel blog and her librarian friend has become more like family.
A note in the pocket of a vintage jacket turns a working trip to Vancouver into a mission for a spy international network. The mission is simple. Take a package to a hotel restroom and leave. When things take an unexpected turn, Noa suddenly finds herself in a high stakes game of cat and mouse. Noa quickly finds all the novels in the world are no preparation for the game she’s playing. Will she complete her mission?
Very entertaining read. I found myself invested in the characters and trying to guess, but failing to figure out what was going to happen next. The details and background information really made the novella come together. I hope to see more stories about Noa in the future!
Truly enjoyed this short novella. A young Noa who has been abandoned by her mother has no friends to speak of and lives with a Grandmother who finds no time for her young granddaughter. In school Noa finds a passion for books , her genre is everything to do with spies. The school Library is not enough for her so she ventured to the public Library where she is befriend by the Librarian Amy. Amy takes Noa under her wing and helps her with school, college and growing up. What Noa is not prepared for is the secret life Amy is living, Amy is a spy on a International level. Noa is asked to help out one time , her mission is to deliver a package. What unravels from here is a fascinating spy story and how Noa gets wrapped up in a high stakes spy ring, while finding out that her one friend is someone who she never really knew. Highly recommend this book !!!

What would a young orphaned girl fantasize about? Adventure and mystery, of course! And when she grows into a travel-hungry, computer-savvy blogger, nothing could be more exciting than the idealized life of a spy. The delicious clothes and exotic travel (definitely a fantasy these days!) make this a fun read, especially for the YA fans out there.
