Books 7-9 in the action-packed, science-based, epic reverse harem fantasy series, Rise of the Iliri… all for only $6.99! WAR, HEARTBREAK, MORE WAR…AND UNBREAKABLE DEVOTION Auryn Hadley overlays a compelling sci-fi action fantasy with an emotionally charged reverse harem romance, setting the heart-warming experience of everyday community against the heart-wrenching reality of war—and the loss it causes. The Terran emperor’s war to eliminate the iliri progresses, and Salryc Luxx has risen from army private to assassin to queen of all iliri.
Always exciting, as well as sexy, and action-packed! Romance readers will thrill to the reverse harem idea that pushes the boundaries of epic fantasy in this groundbreaking series that may remind some of Avatar without the scary beasts.Fantasy readers may find it reminds them of Game Of Thrones, but happier, with more color. And fans of Anne McCaffrey’s Dragonriders of Pern will find Sal’s planet Ogun a thrilling destination for their next fantasy fix.
Each book is a complete novel, not a cliffhanger. And because the iliri have insatiable and exotic sexual instincts, this set may be unsuitable for humans under 18.
DISSENT, Book 7 Danger surrounds Sal on all sides: from the enemy’s encroachment on the borders of her former homeland, to the many humans who still perceive the iliri species as an enslaved inferior race. The thing that Sal fears most though, is losing her mind; all members of her lineage have been driven mad as their powers increased--and Sal’s mind is morphing by the minute.
UPHEAVAL, Book 8 The evil Emperor is in our heroine’s sights—all Sal needs now is a military and cultural miracle.
It’s the dead of winter, and the Terrans hold the line as the Conglomeration is holed-up in a makeshift camp, prickly with nervous excitement, preparing for a massive offensive into wealthy Merriton—the gaudy Conglomerate city in which Sal was enslaved as a child. But the next battle will have to wait. Sometimes, things even more personal than war get in the way—like hormones.
Unimaginably powerful Salryc Luxx, Kaisae of all Iliri and de facto Queen of the Conglomerate forces, is finally brought to her knees—by ovulation.
HAVOC, Book 9 As Sal prepares for a crucial push into enemy territory, the biggest battle her country faces isn't about destruction; it's about the rebuilding that comes after. If they want this war to matter, their new citizens will need to remember what it means to be iliri: to make packs, have children, and find the remains of their culture. They’ll need to make a home, and do it together—all three species: iliri, graouri, and humans. Although Sal is battling personal issues almost as large as her military battles, like the fact that no Kaisaes live into a happy old age. They either die fighting—or they go insane.
I wish there was another to say I love this series but I can't think of anything better. I love these characters so much and have become so invested in their story. Such a phenomenal read!
This series has become one of my all time favourites. There is so much to love in this tale of Ogun and it’s inhabitants. The world building is superb, the characters have such depth their descriptions sing and the plot is complicated enough to keep your mind active as well as keep your emotions challenged.
I have written individual reviews for the books in this book set because I read on Kindle Unlimited as they were released. As soon as this box set came out I knew I needed to own the entire series, so bought all three box sets to re-read time and time again. It’s a mark of a great book when you can re-read it and, even remembering what happens, still love the process of engaging with the story again.
This is a series that I wish would never end, but also want to know how it finishes because I love all the characters so much. I want them all to have their HEA.
If you’ve read the previous books in the series, you probably don’t need this review to tell you that it continues to be gripping and compelling and that you need to read this box set. If you’ve not read the previous books I must tell you to go and read the first book in the series. If you love fantasy and you have an open mind about sex, you will adore this series as much as I do.
This set of books leads the Anglians and their allies into a military push toward the Emperor and Terric. It takes them through Merriton, a CFC coastal city of merchants, where Sal was raised as a slave until she was conscripted into the military. She has a group of scholars in Anglia who are searching for a way to beat the madness that takes all Kaiseas, who then die in battle. There are a few surprises and the story hasn't ended quite yet. The next book, book ten, is scheduled to release in a few days. I've already preordered it and will be back into one of the best series I've read once it drops into my Kindle. I can't wait.
When I first read the description and it seemed to lean towards a very sick book I wasn't very interested. After reading another series by this author I thought I would check it out. I can't believe I waited so long. I haven't been able to put these books down. They are action packed, keep you on tornadoes and just amazing
My god! This world Auryn Hadley has created is a marvelous place. I love how she keeps knocking aside prejudices, changing the status quo. The twists and turns in this box set certainly keep you guessing. Just when you think the end is near for our favorite warriors, she just ups and makes a left turn. I will admit my heart was in my throat here towards the end, and I truly loved the reunion in the near void. My hat is off to Auryn. And now onto (unfortunately for me) the last set and the final chapters of Sal, Dom, Jase and all the rest. See you at the finish!
Best book I have EVER READ AND KEEPS GETTING BETTER
This series is the most beautifully well written series I have EVER read. I finished all 11 books in the series in 2 weeks and bought the whole series and I have a headache from crying and laughing and I just can't put into words how AMAZING this whole series is. The writing is just mind blowing, the story telling is captivating, and the romance is ..I can't even describe ...but I WANT WHAT SAL HAS!!! This series will forever be the BEST BOOK SERIES I HAVE EVERN READ. and yes that's better than ACOTAR AND FROM BLOOD AND ASH!!!!! Both are series I loved ❤️ this one blew them out of the park!
Captivating! Auryn Hadley has become one of my 3 favorite authors.
I have finally completed all 11 books in this series. I have read over 100 books in the last 5 months and am an avid reader of reverse harems. Honestly not his is probably the best and most refreshing series I’ve read in the last 2 years! Auryn Hadley managed to tackle love, prejudice, war and sexuality in a way that can almost everyone relate in many ways. I was in love with this series from the very first book and although it was a longer series than most reverse harems it’s worth every single minute I spent reading. I’ve found a new favorite author and can’t wait to read her next series.
I rarely find books whose words become used in life because I find it difficult to incorporate them into reality, even if they're good. This series, on the other hand, has really dug its way into my reality, so much so that the culture of it has invaded every day use and I find myself using words from the book to describe things that I never really had good words for before. The themes of belonging and acceptance, and conversely the lack thereof, have struck a chord somewhere and it brings me some measure of solace that perhaps others in the world like the idea of equality without judgment as well.
Another boxed set down. It started as all the others, following a straight line, but then, the author broke it into two, we now have two stories going and a lot of questions that would have been left open and hanging at the end of this series are being cleaned up as we go. Love how the author has cross referenced very tightly all her own information so that both time lines are running smoothly with no stuttering or errors. Well done and I highly recommend this series to any and all.
Auryn Hadley just keeps you on your seat with this beautiful story. You can’t help but fall in love with these characters! If you want a wonderful story about fate, this is the one for you! I am so looking forward to re-reading this series again just to see when Sal first crosses paths with each character in either such an innocent, blatantly or brief passing and how each of those can become such a bigger picture down the road. This is truly a beautiful and amazing read!
It’s one a.m. and I’m in a book hangover yet I cannot wait to start the next one. I’ve had wonderful, in depth conversations with my husband about this series, about love, war, separation and peace/equality. I have cried, cheered, been consumed with desire and so many other emotions because this book pulls you into this beautiful, fantastical world with its trials and tribulations until you’re no longer in your own reality, but fighting for freedom along with the Iliri. Highly recommend.
Sal has moved to Fort Landing where the largest military base of CFC is based. Here she will liaise with the Generals and try to find enough Conglomerate troops to hit the Terric onslaught. However, it's here she served in the military, and she knows what Iliri conscripted soldiers go through. There's enough prejudice on both sides, but they must unite to meet their common foe.
#8 Upheaval
In war plans don't always go as well as one would like, but sometimes, you have to taste defeat, to win the war.
#9 Havoc
Sal has proven, time and time again, that she isn't like previous Kaisae. This is an episode of learning to let go, to trust that others can also do the hard work. Plus, it's still about Bleac's rules, bending laws, but not breaking them. Oh, tissues may be needed!!
Even though there's a few things I don't understand, one, being they were supposed to have an abundance of warriors to fight this war. Seems every time they fight, their outnumbered. Hoping this will be explained soon. Because this is such an awesome series. A lot of characters to keep up with and the author does a great job of reminding the reader who each one is when brought back into the storyline.
If you like reverse harem romance I would highly suggest you read this one. I love it so much I’ve read it multiple times. The universe the author has created is amazing and the twist on racism she has implemented in this story is eye opening. I’m so very impressed with this author and I feel on Kindle unlimited it is hard to find authors that do.
This third boxed set continued to hold me enthralled with Sal's story. Still many twists and turns to surprise me along the way. This time different characters and storylines were explored and they were such a delight. I will note that there was graphic sex scenes in this boxed set unlike the previous sets. Well written but a surprise. Just an FYI.
It's hard for me to read this many books in a series. I usually give up. I just want an ending to the story line by now. However it keeps going and going, with a lot of information and story lines. There are a lot of characters to keep track of, which is hard to always keep it straight. I am determined to get to the end of the story! It was a good ending to these books, but we are not done yet. Hoping for an awesome victory!
These are still amazing. And if you have read this far and are looking at reviews to verify it is still good, it is. I was just a little surprised at the amount of graphic sex. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't like that in the first several books. Just throwing out a heads up.
Riveting throughout. I find myself invested with the Illiri, Grauri, and humans, who learn what matters most is each other. The way this series is written, I can see and feel the characters so clearly. I find myself pondering who will come forward to aid in the struggle to save their world from the tyrrany that is a threat to all living beings. This, while dealing with my own meager problems and issues.
Love the series, love the world, love the characters! Book 7 is prob one of my faves. 5 stars! 8 is my least favorite, 3 stars. I don't know why, it just loses my interest every time I read the series. Book 9, 5 stars!
Epic read, this has my favorite book in the series book 8 Upheaval. So many relatable moments and the action is better than reading something classic like LOTR, or WOT series. Keeps you coming back for more and trust me you're going to want to finish this series!
These books are compelling and complex. The world building and character development take this story from interesting to epic. You will not be sorry if you give it a try.
In this boxset, we see Sal and her pack evolving with the war. Each book is a masterpiece full of feelings and surprises, each detail has a purpose in this intricate tapestry... I loved every moment reading this!
Don’t miss this series. Action, suspense and romance all in one great package. Add a little spice and you hit it out of the park! I’ve read NINE of these books and I can’t wait to get to the next. Talk about a cliffhanger. . .
This series just gets better and better! Not gonna lie there were a few tearjerker moments and I balled a bit but the ending was great! Looking forward to books 10 & 11 now!
Ok, I don’t write a review often, but I need to get this out. How could it just end like that!?! There better be a book or two after this. I can’t handle not seeing the rest of everyone’s stories.
Love this compilation of books 7-9. Massive war sequences, loads of iliri loving, and Blaec on the sidelines. Such an epic story. My go to reread each year. Solid 10 stars. Must read.
