Ransom Weylyn is a hunter. Hidden behind his easy smile and laid back attitude is a wolf that craves bloodshed and carnage. No one knows how hard he works to keep that part of himself at bay. Not even his family sees behind his calm façade.

But she does.

Isabeau Claremont is a killer. Born and bred to be a weapon and nothing more, she’s embraced the monster they’ve made her. She knows nothing but death and the darkness of shadows. She thought she’d accepted her fate and her purpose, but then she meets him.

And everything changes.

With a connection that runs vein deep, Isabeau and Ransom must find a way to work together without killing each other in the process. A wolf shifter with temperament issues and a vampire with a knack for knives, what could go wrong?

*Shadow Bound is book 3 of the White Wolf Prophecy Series. While it can be read as a standalone, it is highly reccomended you read books 1 and 2 for a better understanding and enjoyment of the story*

I wanted to blaze through this book and do NOTHING ELSE!!! Sadly, I did not get my way. Life happened and I was stuck for two days wondering what was going to happen. I HAD to read!! I NEEDED to know what was going to happen. And I freaking loved every second.

When King mentioned that this was one of her favorite couples, I have to whole heartedly agree!
Ransom has taken Alpha to whole new level and added the Fire that I was needing.

If my door swung the other direction, Beau is definitely one that would make me take a second look while picking my jaw off the floor. Then you throw in Ransom and Awww Hell, I’m done for!

There is so much that happens in this book that I feel like all the puzzle pieces are coming together. I’m getting a feel for what the big picture is looking like and then again, it absolutely nothing like I thought it was going to be. I was on my toes, at the edge of my seat reading faster and faster. The book has the steam, surprises, angst, drama and even a bit of blood that has you riled up and begging for more.

Then you’re left with this Epilogue that has you ripping your hair out screaming for the next book.
Absolutely loved!!

4.5/5 ★ LOVED IT! Another win here for me! This one was even better than the last one! I really fell in love with the characters and how their relationship developed. This author does it juuuuust how I like it. Can't wait to dive into the next one.

THOUGHTS
Ransom Weylyn, MMC, Wolf shifter, another brother in the family we're in deep with by now in Book 3, and then we have Isabeau, our FMC, a vampire/fae hybrid. She's a bad-ass, and she's been trained to be a stone-cold, ice-in-her-veins, care-for-nothing-and-no-one, highly trained and skilled, killer/assassin. She made an appearance in the previous book, and now we get to know her better.

These two are full-on enemies to lovers, and it takes a bit for them to get it together in a good way. Also really liked that there were specific traits that they liked about each other -- instead of just physical hotness. Loved Ransom, he's sooooo everything you want in a hotttttie wolf shifter. Yum!

If you've read a few of my reviews, you'll know that I'm often complaining about relentless and eternal internal musings... I find a lot of times, the internal musings are like word/page filler and not moving the dilemma forward or escalating the plot or tension and just runs over the sammmmme dilemma over and over and forever, but Kayleigh King does it in a way that feels just right. Internal musings are really letting us get to know the characters and working out the problem and each time the problem has a slightly different escalating nuance to it. So kudos to her!

I am totally into this series, I'm all about it and an excited to read everything she's written.

boy, oh boy

Ransom and Isabeau are 🔥. Let me say, that for most of the book figuring out how to pronounce Isabeau's name, but I got over it eventually when Ransom called her Beau. Anyways, Ransom and Isabeau's steamy scenes were everything I wanted, I tried to figure out how they were going to come together but when they did it was better than I had imagined.

All in all, really enjoyed this read. Let's just say I was bound by this book in the shadows I was reading them in 😝.

I started this book as part of a challenge but I definitely intend to start from book 1 and reread the entire series.

I took a massive interest to Isabeau and her unique way of life. Her courage and bravery to not only abandon her life, but to approach shifters! They start as natural enemies but quickly discover they were meant to be more. I loved Isabeau finding more out about herself and her closeted emotions along the way.

Ransom had me all wobbly at the knees, he couldn't get any better! Isabeau helped him find his place in his family I believe.

An amazing read, and thats saying something because I struggle with Shifter books!

I’m glad that Ransom got a strong vampire as his mate. Together, with Beau, they are lethal. So far, their couple is my favorite from the series. By the way, Winslow is cute, I loved her interactions with Isabeau.

I can’t come up with words at the moment with how I feel about the White Prophecy series, each siblings character has developed beautifully with each book and with Ransom and Isabeau I’m in love with this duo and he beats Ryker at the moment 🥵🥺

Ryker and Pruitt’s growth in book two and three along with Ranger and Winslow are absolutely breathtaking and left me wanting more with the story and more with there relationship as it was a lot of world and character building with the plot it was amazing!

Ransom and Isabeau start off as enemies and if you’ve noticed I’m a sucker for enemies to lovers romance. Isabeau was raised a killer and her task lead her to Ransom and everyone in their world knows who The Weylyn’s are.

Kayleigh’s writing is so easy and faced paced that it leaves you wanting more. There’s so much I want to talk about with the Weylyn siblings because If I wasn’t fully invested before I am now 📚👀😍

ARC in exchange for honest review

I DEVOURED this book!!! I literally had a midterm this morning and I was trying to finish it so fast so I could go finish this book lol

Ok so listen up: it's enemies to lovers and the girl is an assassin. Like what more do you want??

"I've only ever heard of love, but what I'm seeing now isn't the sweet kind I've always imagined. No, this looks painful.

Why do people seek something out so hard when it hurts like this?"

Isabeau my girl damn. I loved this quote and I loved Isabeau. I was really excited for this book because of her and the glimpses we saw of her in the other books. She was such a good and complex character who was morally grey which honestly checked all the boxes for me haha AND she's kinda a badass. She's an assassin and her idea of a fun time is throwing knives and going to a firing range hehe Characters like her are honestly the reason I think I can take down a 6 ft, 200 and something pound man. Isabeau also grew so much in the book and that made me happy <3

ALSO these men have just been getting better and better!! Ryker was great, Ranger was amazing, and Ransom was perfecttt--I want someone like Ransom, that is all I will say. Ransom and Isabeau had some AMAZING chemistry and banter throughout the entire book. The book was also more of a true enemies to lovers (!!!) since Ransom and Isabeau were on opposing sides at the beginning of the book so there was definitely a lot of character growth

One thing I loved almost as much as Ransom and Isabeau was Isabeu and Winslow <3 Isabeau and Winslow had SUCH a good friendship that developed throughout the book. The jokes and sass from both of them combined with Ramson and Ranger had me laughing a few times throughout the book

If you have read the first two books, don't worry all your favorite characters will make an appearance in this book. If you haven't read the first two books I strongly recommend at least reading the second book so that you meet Winslow (she's really funny and makes a lot of appearances in this book!!) but at the same time this book can be read as a stand-alone

So, if you're looking for a book that has enemies to lovers--pick this one up. You want an assassin? Isabeau is your girl. A hot mans and good banter? This is definitely your book

Thank you to the author Kayleigh King for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All quotes are taken from the ARC and are subject to change.

“Are we born killers or are we made killers?”

If you are a fan of underworld, the originals or even teen wolf then this book is for you. Shadow bound is the third book in the white wolf prophecy series. It is a sexy paranormal romance that follows Isabeau Claremont, a vampire fae hybrid and a wolf shifter, Ransom Weylyn.

Isabeau is a trained assassin. She was made to be an unstoppable killing machine, a vampire fae hybrid experiment. She is a weapon and a valued asset, that is until she goes rogue when she is sent to kill the alpha of a wolf pack. She is tired of people dictating what she does with her life. These people have taken everything from her, she has been tortured, starved and beaten, but no more. In order to be truly free, she needs to eliminate the source of all her suffering. Her plans for revenge leads her to a handsome wolf shifter that craves bloodshed and carnage. Upon meeting, an unbreakable bond is formed between the two.

“I find myself thinking of her arctic blue eyes at night when my wolf is too restless to sleep. I hear her raspy voice all the time, like a song I can’t get out of my head.”

“She is already mine; she just hasn’t figured it out yet.” 🥰🥰

This book deserved to be hyped up!! It is fast-paced, steamy, sexy, funny.

While this book can be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading the first two books in the series prior to reading this one. It will help you get a better grasp of the world building, and you will also be able to connect with the characters on a deeper level.

Shadow bound is a unique take on the typical werewolf, vampire storyline that has been done countless times, which is why it is a 4/5 for me!

I hope the next book is about Jax and Remi!! Now excuse me while I go spend some time with the Weylyn brothers!😍

Ps. This is my first book review so it might be a little rough 🥴

I received an ARC for an honest review.

Let me begin this review with how amazing this series is! If you have not read the first two books, I would highly recommend doing so. It has quickly become a favorite!
The story follows Ransom and Isabeau. He is a wolf shifter who has support and love from his family but felt he had to hide a part of himself. She is a vampire/fae hybrid was made to be a lethal killer with the with the only one she could ever count on or trust was herself. When the two of them meet everything changes. This book has it all! Kick ass fighting, fierce protectiveness from the lovers and friends, twists and turns, and this book did not disappoint in the steam department!

You ever read a series when you finish that first book and you think to yourself the next book cant be as good?
The first book with Ryker and Pruitt, I thought the next installment could not top that first one. These characters are going to be my favorite. Then the second with Ranger and Winslow and I found myself loving them just as much. The continuation of the story just flows seamlessly from one book to the next to continue to draw you in to the story. The writing style is easy. The character development was on point. The banter between the characters had me laughing out loud at times. There is just enough suspense and action to keep you hooked without being over the top.
With this series I do not feel like I can say I have loved one books set of characters more that the others. It is more like they each have this special place in my heart. Each book has you loving these characters more and more! I can not wait for the next installment!

I received an arc copy for an honest review.

I found this author on Tic Toc (thank you Tick Toc!)and signed up to be a beta reader. I absolutely loved this book. I made the mistake of starting during my lunch and could not put it down. Just so you know, I didn't get much work done that day. So, prepare yourself.

It has everything I personally love in a book, a bad a$$ female and the hot werewolf. The storyline was great and easy to follow. The writing was fluent and didn't jump all over the place. The characters were likable. I enjoyed the world build and the character's history. The author was descriptive, which made it pleasant to read.

My only regret was that I didn't start this series from book one. However, this just means I have my next few days planned out because I will go back and read those. I highly recommend this book.

I received an ARC copy in exchange for honest review. A fantastic edition to the series. Ransom has kept who he really is from his family but he can't keep it from Isabeau. She in turn has been trained to be a killer & devoid of all emotion but the moment she meets Ransom that wall she has built begins to crumble. A mutual enemy brings them crashing into each others lives in a way neither expected or wanted but both unknowingly needed. Isabeau is a kickass heroine who is quiet the equal for the chaotic Ransom. This is my favourite in the series so far. Was funny, vulnerable, tense, sexy & a damn good read. Great chemistry & banter between the characters. Can't wait for the next instalment.

I found this author on tiktok and after getting to read this jem I am absolutly hooked! The main character is cold and damaged with a love intrest just as damaged as she is, but as he slowing breaks down her walls it just drags you in. This book had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish, I finished it way to fast and now absolutly wish there was more. The books in this series can all be read as stand alone books and this just makes me want isabeau and Ransom's story to continue. You won't regret this read.

Shadow Bound is an exciting and suspenseful page turner. Isabeau’s clear unwillingness to face the heart break that loving someone can have, makes her a relatable character to those who have trouble expressing their feelings. I have yet to read from the start of the White Wolf Prophecy series, but Shadow Bound has made loving the Weylyn family easy. I am excited to back track to the start of the series and read the amazing adventures these characters have had so far.

I loved this so much! I hate that I started reading this when I was in a reading slump because I feel like I didn't do it justice.

At first, I wasn't vibing with Beau. I just didn't really like her, but Ransom! Oh my Ransom. He may be my new favorite alpha male! He is everything you could want in an alpha male.

Once I got about halfway, I really started to like Isabeau and I was rooting for her to get the justice that she deserved with Nessa.

And side note, Winnie and the Twilight reference had me cracking up!

I loved this and I really can't wait for Jax and Remi!

This series - if you have not read this series it is an absolute must.
The twists in this one took me by surprise. The relationships became even richer with each page turn. As a reader you will find yourself rooting for the odd pairings, you will find yourself cheering as resistances fall to the side and, when you are done, you will go off to preorder the next book - just like I am going to do now.
This is a must read series.

I am in love with this series.
It is everything I could ever wish for in a wolf shifter book.

I have loved every couple so far and isabeau and ransom have not changed my view on that.
They were an amazing couple, they brought out the best/darkness in each other.

These books are the best things I have read so far and I would 100% recommend this to anyone who is looking for wolf shifter books.

I had the pleasure to read this book as a beta then as an ARC then completed.

Y’all, each and every time I read Ransom and Isabeau’s story, it captivated me more. I still stand by my comment made in each book, Kayleigh has crafted and twisted lore so that it’s not boring. It brings me in and keeps me, each and every single time.

I love the push, the pull... the enemies to lovers, forced proximity romance that blooms. The scenes are steamy as f**k too. Like *fans self*. I also love how both characters are flawed, not the feel-good you expect in the PNR. Both are troubled and seek/find comfort in one another.

I want to read this book again and again. I cannot get enough of it.

Every time I think I’ve picked my favorite Weylyn, another one comes along and completely ruins my list. And Ransom? He owns the top spot now. Kayleigh King’s writing just keeps leveling up—utterly immersive, addictive, and impossible to put down.

Beau was such a standout. Her fierce strength and no-nonsense exterior are unmatched… until she meets her wolf. Watching her walls slowly crumble as Ransom meets her fire with his wild, untamed energy was chef’s kiss. They don’t just fall for each other—they see each other. Embrace each other’s chaos. And it’s glorious.

I also adored the friendship between Beau and Winslow—the banter, the sass, the loyalty. Their dynamic added such levity and warmth. And through it all, Beau’s journey—realizing what family can feel like and learning that it’s never too late to redefine who you are—was incredibly moving.

Ransom’s unwavering love and quiet devotion? Swoon. He never gave up on her, never flinched. He loved her exactly as she is—and that hit hard.

Holy shit! Isabeau definitely isn’t thehero that we thought we needed but she damn sure quickly became the one that won us over! You cannot help falling for the bad ass knife wielding shadow walking vampire!

Ransom and Isabeau quickly became my favorite couple in the series. I honestly thought that nothing could top Ryker and Pruitt but this couple is literally fire and ice! Their passion is like nothing else. These two I had to go against all odds to be as one.

Isabeau’s story had me in literal tears just thinking of all the things she had to go through as a child and how as an adult she can’t even show emotions and then have ransom breakdown every wall she’s ever had. To prove to her that she is worth loving.

I really enjoyed in this book that we got to see more of the family we got to see more of the pack. I love that she brought us back to the lake houses so that we could see how everybody else’s love for each other is growing and how they working as a pack and how important this pack is to them.

The character development that is in these books is fucking phenomenal her ability to introduce a character and you hate their fucking guts to literally crying over them because you love them so much is amazing!!

To be completely honest as well I thoroughly enjoyed the Dom/sub that these two had going on it was fucking hot!!

𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 3 I received an ARC for an honest review so here it is. First I want to say thank you a second time because you send me the book and it means a lot to me. 💟

5 /5 bloody stars ⭐

Ok so this book was my favorite one, it was sexy, extremely interesting and so damn good!! I couldn't put it down one second. It was a big one and I read it in only two days!!! Isabeau is such an amazingly strong, beautiful and powerful character, she was definitely my favorite from the book and I have to admit that most of the time I always prefer masculine character but she was really good! She's was something new for me and I was living my best life with her! She's baby! She's the badass woman we are looking for in those kind of books and I was here for it. She's was also super fun, hot and incredible. During this book she was growing up so much that I was really proud of her, she's different from the others females protagonists that I read before and because of everything I must say that it was a amazing adventure to read about her and be with her in this novel.

Ryker was really an good one, Ranger was so damn amazing and Ransom was my favorite alpha male from the book. He's everything I've been looking for in this book, so much sensuality, so much power, so much Ransom. he was PERFECT!

I was smiling so much when I was finished because I feel like I was with my family, they're stories are so beautiful and at the same time Raw and delicate!

Like I said this book was for me so much better than the second one, it was hotter, stronger, and emotionally a freaking roller coaster!! A wild ride with the sexiest alpha man and the most bad ass assassin in the world!!! I strongly recommend you this book if you are looking for something different, fun, wild and just WOW. This book is definitely for you, trust me you guys will not be disappointed! Kayleigh's writing was also so soft and flawless!
